   Both dinner and breakfast were amazingly good. Every option chosen was well balanced, very fresh and delicious. Staff were all looking very too.

   We arrived for my birthday with such high expectations after a visit a few weeks ago. We found the smoke alarm above our table kept beeping every 30 secs. The staff had known about this issue for several days. It was only on the 3rd time of asking if anything could be done did someone come over to explain they were waiting for an engineer to come out. We ordered a £100 bottle of Champagne and no staff felt confident to open it!! My daughter had to open it and the glasses were dirty too. At no point did anyone acknowledge my birthday although I wrote it in the notes and my daughter told them why she was ordering the Champagne at the beginning of the meal. We were never given the opportunity to change table due to the noise or given any compensation. We called in advance if we could put the reservation back by 30 mins and were told no. We were ordering dessert when we were then told we could stay longer as they had moved the next reservation onto a different table. Overall we were disappointed with the service we received. Most of the food was nice but we felt it was overpriced for the area.

   The best Sunday lunch we have had for a while, really good food and service was excellent. If we had one small comment the starter portions were a bit larger than expected, but were so tasty and we still managed a dessert!!

    Great food, lovely staff and so good to have a lovely place to eat in the evening where our dog is as welcome as we are! Definitely recommend
