   Delicious food which was well presented and good value. The staff were friendly and helpful. We’d definitely go again if in the area.

   We went for Sunday lunch on 25 May 45 minutes after ordering our food we asked if it would be be long The response was ‘we are busy, there’s a lot of orders so we can’t tell you when it will be ready’ Certainly not all the tables were full, the menu offer was principally Sunday Roast, one party had arrived, ordered, been served and were at least halfway through their meals so this this response was disappointing We asked why, if they were unable to service the number of covers in the restaurant, nobody had told us at the time of ordering there was a delay or offered some nibbles or some explanation Response ‘ we just send the order’s downstairs and they don’t tell us what’s happening’ Obviously it was pointless having any further discussion so we asked if they could at least serve the simple Children’s meal to our 4 year old granddaughter This happened very quickly, which was good, and we said that we could wait only another 15 minutes for our order No further action or information in the next 20 minutes so we paid for our drinks and the children’s meal and left so almost one and a half hours - no food, no real explanation and a dreadful experience

   We were greeted as soon as we entered and even though we arrived early we were seated straight away. Staff were friendly and service was fast and efficient.

   We always book in at The Golden Fleece when we visit Wells . It is somewhere we always feel welcome at. During our recent week up in Norfolk we ate at the GF twice choosing different meals on each occasion . The food was excellent as were the whole experiences. Dan has recruited a good team who all seem keen to make the visit great ! We will return later in the year .

   We always visit the Golden Fleece when in Wells -Next-The-Sea.. Our visit on Friday was as good as ever. Lovely food served by friendly staff .

   The whole experience was poor, we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table we had booked, items were missing from meals served, food was not freshly prepared - one food item appeared to have been kept warm for a long time and had dried out when served and the best meal could have been hotter. And they didn't have any mustard!

   We've been here so many times with our dog over the years... This time the food was very expensive for a very small amount. 2 x warm salads with either chicken or salmon. Small amount of new potatoes... Cold. Everything cold apart from the very small amount of the chicken. No beans at all warm or cold. £ 56 for 2 small salads, a shandy and a medium white wine. Won't be rushing back for sure

    Service was ok but the food was terrible! Better off at Mcds. Missing items, poor quality. Manager didn't care less! Don't visit, spend your money elsewhere!
