    After a mixup with the booking as the restaurant had no record of the booking, the staff reacted well and found us a table so disaster averted. Overall, it was a very positive experience, the tables are slightly close together, but that is one of those things that maybe is just me !? Only single downside was that my fries were nowhere near hot.. but apart from that, it was great

    Firstly we were put in the bar area as the restaurant had a booking of 100 people however there wasn’t anyone in the restaurant. We had to clear a table in the bar to sit at. The bar man was kind enough to bring a candle over to the table 30 mins after sitting there.

    A nut allergy, plain cake could been seperate for that person. But all top plate cake we're bland looking for the other 3 guest. We we're served and left and not asked if OK or would like anything else. I tried to ring 4 times and left 2 messages that morning about access to building and no reply.

    We had the 2 course inclusive package which offers a good selection of the full menu. Duck dumplings and steak n kidney pudding for myself whilst my better halfvwent for the houmous followed by fish n chips. All the food was very tasty, hot and good portions. The serving hosts were very cheerful, polite and attentive. We are going again this evening to try the other options on the full menu Would recommend for sure G&D 11/11/23

    Very good afternoon tea, only suggestion would be more variety of cakes, maybe a pastry in place of one of the cupcakes. Cannot fault the service, Sharon was lovely, very attentive and happy to provide more drinks as required. Overall it was a lovely afternoon and very reasonable price. Would definitely book again.
