   First off the door and windows were filthy when walking in. Server who showed us to our table didn’t have a nice attitude. Tall guy who took our orders was really nice, but quite untrained in how to act and respond. Food came and was really lacklustre for the pictures I had seen online. Tempura veg was the highlight because you couldn’t really go wrong with it. Bland curry sauce, hardly any in the dish, with slimy unseasoned steamed veg on top. Over seasoned oyster mushrooms which were really good once you had some rice with them to balance out the salt. I wanted to give 1 star but felt really bad for the service team as they were obviously trying, but had no real supervision or training. Sorry to the guys at Kusaki, but my expectations were unreasonably high, however even then, this was an actively bad experience.

   Lovely vegan Japanese food, generous portions, great service. We really liked the decor too, serene and great blossom tree. Will be back.

   Good service and good food. Its a slightly outside the main areas so you have to walk.

   Pretty expensive and not very nice. We complained about the not-fresh edamame, and the manager just came back with the same plate and pretended it was new !!!! Also, told us that “that’s how edamame is meant to taste” - to me it was overcooked and chewy, not how I’ve ever had it. Generally quite disappointed in the food. Seemed like I would get fresh, delicately balanced flavours from the reviews. On eating there, it was mostly over salted, too oily and too buttery, not the flavours I usually get from a Japanese meal. Also strange that we were forced to have that edamame even after asking it to be taken away. Lovely space and vibe, just a shame they are cutting corners with the quality of the food. I’ve never had a yakisoba quite like that…

   We were disappointed with our experience. Felt the food was overpriced for what we got and lacking flavour. We haven’t got big appetites, but were left feeling hungry after spending over £100! Waitress was “awkward” and not very friendly. In fact didn’t really utter many words at all. We eat at plant based restaurants regularly and sadly this has been one of the most disappointing meals we have had.

   We had to wait a little for our food but the guys working kept us informed and offered us a drink and discount for the inconvenience. The food was great and the atmosphere was lovely. Overall we had a lovely evening and would recommend.

   The food was exceptional. Lovely environment with friendly joyful staff who went above and beyond to make a fabulous dining experience. A lot of thought and passion goes into creating their food. The depth and intensity of flavour of the udon noodles broth was the best we have ever had. Came away feeling nourished and happy.

    Excellent vegetarian food. We had 2-3 small plates each and they were all really tasty! They come as they are cooked so it worked well that we were sharing it all. The drunken rice was particularly good. Would definitely go back. Very good value too.
