Went for the lobster dinner event on Saturday (July 5). To start, it took 20 minutes for someone to take our order in a not-busy dining room where we were the only people not already eating. Our waitress was accommodating to dietary restrictions but the food left a lot to be desired: amuse bouche were served in stale pastry; the lobster entree was overcooked and dry; and the soufflé dessert appeared to be little more than scrambled eggs with sugar. Disappointing. Including the slow start, the five-course meal took 2 hours, punctuated by a 30-40 minute lull between courses with no explanation. This had a domino effect on the rest of the evening’s plans, which went slightly awry as a result. Ambience was fine. Techno music was played so low it was almost inaudible and other diners’ conversations were also very quiet. Not in a hurry to return. If you go, I hope your experience is better.

This is my favorite restaurant in Boston (I am French - feels like Paris). Last night was a perfect night for outdoor dining and the terrace was jam packed. Make a reservation if you want to go there. Loic, the owner, and his wonderful staff, have done a great job.

We had a 5 course meal of which 4 were lobster based. The food was outstanding . Service was excellent. Love the outdoor patio ! This is a must

Dollar oysters are always excellent here, especially served with a Panache, but today service was slow outside and there were only 2 tables. Also would recommend to PR that water be served with ice on days when it's 88 and muggy.

Spectacular experience from the moment we arrived. I have made a note this was a birthday dinner. They greeted my guest with great warmth and good birthday wishes. Our table was by the window, exactly as requested. The service was prompt, friendly and they took cues from us to understand we were catching up and had a lot of chatting to do. We asked for a wine recommendation and the server's suggestion was delicious and perfectly priced. I had the duck breast with ratatouille and ate every bite. It was cooked medium which was what I asked for. My guest had steak fritte with béarnaise and loved it. Again, cooked as requested a perfect medium rare. We could not resist two desserts. The berry-filled bread pudding was unique and superb. The giant profiterole covered in hot fudge was scrumptious. We enjoyed everything and highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. It could not have been more perfect.

I love Petit Robert and have gone multiple times. The ambiance is good and the drinks are great. Unfortunately at my last visit I ordered the steak frites and the steak was super overcooked. I ordered it medium rare and it came out more on the well done/medium range. This was really disappointing as it’s a pricier dish and I was really looking forward to a good steak.

Lovely bistro with lively outdoor seating. The view across the street is of a very old and beautiful church juxtaposed with modern skyscrapers in the distance. The food was excellent. Service was very attentive and professional. I have already recommended this restaurant to friends and will be back. I had the cheese plate followed by the moules frites. Both were excellent! The Chablis was terrific as well.

Petit Robert is a little South End gem. The food is consistently good;some dishes better than others. My friend had calf's liver which he said was excellent, and I had the pate which would be a little more elegant had it been served on more gently toasted crostini. The service is always good. We ate outdoors in the front of the restaurant on a perfect summer evening. it's a great place, and "reasonably priced"for a higher end restaurant.
