   Plenty of parking, lovely place to eat, food was delicious, staff were lovely, was a nice atmosphere we ate here twice in the 4 days we were in the area. The menu had a good choice of food, for us and our teenagers. Would recommend a visit

   Having had a drink in the bar a few days before, we were impressed with the pub. However, a different day and a different member of staff made a huge difference. Two of us were dining. Whilst choosing food and drink, the waitress was reluctant to go out of her way to answer our queries one about the beers on sale and the other about the mushroom pie. One of the meals was the vegetable lasagne. It’s a tad misleading to even mention vegetables! It was more like a pasta sheet in a bit of cheese sauce! There was mother group of diners eating who felt the same about their vegetable lasagne too. The sausage and mash meal was ok.

   Visited for the first time on Friday. We booked only shortly before arriving and were given a really warm welcome. We sat in the bar as we had our dogs with us (who were also made to feel really welcome). Food arrived promptly and was tasty and nicely cooked. Will definitely return when in the area again.

   We were attentively waited on. Food was extremely good. We had Sunday lunch. The only downside was the roast potatoes were the frozen kind. However the homemade yorkshire puddings made up for this. I would definitely recommend the apple and raspberry crumble. This was delicious. Staff were very welcoming and waited on our every need. Will definitely be returning
