El Orso fue inaugurado en 1983 por el empresario de restaurantes del Theatre District Joe Allen, y sirve comida italiana regional en un ambiente acogedor e intimista.     The Caprese Salad and fried artichokes for appetizers were outstanding. Linguini and Calms excellent. Rigatoni Bolognese excellent. Tartufo for dessert excellent. Great spot pre or post theatre. Can’t wait to return. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

    Wonderful dinner experience. Greeted with a friendly smile by the host upon our arrival The food was awesome, service was great, and the atmosphere was lively yet peaceful. Orso is a gem in NYC near Times Square.

    Very simple - very italian menu. Close and intimate. You may see some famous theater people or politicians to chat with. Many years on 46th St. Great before or after the theater

    Orso is a great pre-theatre establishment. Service is great. Food is excellent and reasonably priced. The decor is just OK, but when everything else is so good, it can be overlooked.

    So missed Orso when it closed during/after the pandemic. LOVE the food and service and it couldn't be more convenient to the theater district. GREAT pasta and meats, lovely house wine, a winner and often in the past a great spot to see Broadway royalty.

    Our dining experience at Orso was exceptional. The service and cuisine met the high expectations set by its reputation. We eagerly anticipate our next visit to New York and will plan to dine here again.

    I was very disappointed that liver was not on the menu. That is by far my most favorite meal at ORSO and I associate the restaurant with its unusual and wonderful preparation of liver.

    We were the last reservation of the night, and they treated us like we were their first customers ever. Excellent service food ambience. True hospitality.
