About this restaurant

Welcome to Stari Tišler, an oasis in the hustle and bustle of the city where time stands still. The roots of this old coachman restaurant go back to the year 1905 and the rustic feel of the old watering hole is still very much present in our restaurant.
We are proud to say that we still follow the original recipes the chefs used from the time of Stari Tišler's opening day. At Stari Tišler there is something for everyone but we specialise in traditional Slovenian cuisine, which is beautifully complemented by the selection of Slovenian wines, beers and other beverages.

This is a lovely folksy restaurant with friendly and efficient service. The food was good but processed ham and shop-bought sliced bread didn’t enhance the otherwise excellent starter of cold meats and cheeses.

Lovely small restaurant in the center of town. I had pasta with truffles which was excellent. My husband had pasta with shrimp and he enjoyed it as well.
