On a sunny day, tables are allocated outside based on the date the booking was made (early birds!) We will do our upmost to accommodate you outside if we can. Please call us on the day to see where you will be seated as special requests are not guaranteed. We have zero tolerance for aggressive behaviour.

The Boatman, is Windsor’s only pub on the river at the foot of Windsor Castle overlooking Eton Bridge. Serving freshly cooked food all day everyday from midday to 9pm at night, in the cosy bar, restaurant or in the stunning riverside all-weather conservatory, there is a fine selection of wine, ales, cocktails to choose from.
The bar area and terrace is dog friendly, we cannot accept any pets in the conservatory or restaurant.

                  Great location, good service, the roast dinner could have been better. Too much thin gravy on the plate. Yorkshire was dry. Other dishes coming out of the kitchen looked amazing!

                  We had a lovely roast dinner sat in the sunshine by the river. The food was of a good quality and tasty and staff were friendly and attentive. I’d definitely recommend this place to other people.

                  Lovely food in a lovely setting which is why we took friends there as we have been there several times over the last few years when in the Windsor area. Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful but a few could have been more friendly tbh especially when we checked in and our table (which was a great setting) was simply pointed out to us. But overall a great evening meal on the shore of the River Thames in Windsor.

                  My daughter had a lovely meal on a beautiful Summer evening, at a table right on the river. The food was amazing, and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this pub for a small or large group.

                  Only criticism is that they automatically add 10% service charge to your bill and it would be easy to miss and then tip twice. A bit of a cheeky policy.
