Northern Lights Alpine Kitchen features creative cuisine in a warm, casual and friendly buffet style dining experience. Enjoy your meal with breath taking views of the Bow Valley!

This restaurant operates on a walk-in basis during our lunch period, and reservations can be made for dinner.

DINE ABOVE BANFF! Anchored at over 2,200 meters above sea level, the Banff Gondola’s Northern Lights Alpine Kitchen sits on the summit of Sulphur Mountain.

Proper winter attire is required. Our gondola cabins are not heated, and it can be up to 10 degrees colder at top.

Our server was sweet and attentive, but the food was inedible. Not many choices and nothing worth eating. Out of 4 people, my husband was the only one that ate. Do not dine here!

A reservation makes all the difference at dinner- avoid long waits! The food was better than expected for a buffet set up. Lots of choices. There are gorgeous views from every table to enjoy the mountaintop’s setting. The service was excellent.

Overpriced for just ok buffet style food. Brisket was good but pizza had been sitting there for quite a while. The views are pretty though.
