   We loved Dorothy's. Chelsea and Gerri were amazing! From the time we stepped into the restaurant, we felt welcome. Chelsea explained the menu in detail with such care and with a Brooklyn accent (😉) we wanted to order a little bit of everything. We chose a few of their best dishes (I highly recommend the cabbage rolls) and enjoyed everything we ordered. This is our fourth year at St. Simons Island, and we always make sure Dorothy 's is a dinner stop. Don't hesitate to make a reservation...it's worth it

   Love Dorothy’s! The staff is super friendly and helpful and the bar is the best on the island. Bar seats are more comfortable than the tables if you can get them and you can better see the travel videos which make for fun ambiance.

   The food here is excellent. As good as it gets and with a good price point. Yummy Ceasar salad, cabbage rolls, orange chicken and bread pudding. Delicious and servings sizes good for 2 people.

   Slow getting seated. Then staff obviously overworked. Nice server but too many tables and had to reach out to others for two drink refills. Food average and long wait. Told a chef had left.

    When we sat down (with reservations) we were asked to hurry because another resection was coming I and they overlapped. She said we were late and we were in out seats by :03 past our reservation time!! The shrimp ceviche was good. The cocktails were good but so much ice you could finish them in two sips. The wine mark up was very steep. The pork was extremely over breaded and not indicated as such on menu. We paid $75 for a steak that tasted burnt. The Brussels sprouts were soggy. The burger was okay. One of us sat on outside in flimsy chair and was constantly kicked or knocked by the servers coming by. We paid $470 for 5 people for a meal that we didn’t enjoy not enjoy and were rushed. I do not recommend this restaurant. I have never given review on Open table because I rarely feel it is worth commenting (good or bad) but this time it was noteworthy so others won’t waste their money.
