Join us every Sunday for a truly memorable all-you-can-eat prime rib meal for the entire family at the Whiteface Lodge. Our incredible culinary team has cooked up the perfect spread of salads, displays of local cheese and charcuterie, with accompaniments for the main course which includes all-you-can-eat prime rib. Plus, all of this is topped off with a display of chocolate decadence and an assortment of specialty desserts—and these are definitely something to look forward to. We've got all the classics you love, along with new offerings that will make you say "Wow" every week. Each Sunday is filled with flavor, so don't miss this delicious opportunity. This dining experience is available to all ages. Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made each week on OpenTable. Vinnie Leddick has been playing at the Whiteface Lodge for over 15 years. No set is ever the same as the crowd is focus of the night and every night is just a little different. Live music is at Peak 47, directly a crossed from the Kanu restaurant from 7pm- 10pm for drink before your meal or a night cap before heading to bed.

Kanu at Whiteface Lodge was outstanding. The service was great, food prepared to perfection, and ambience totally fitting for the Adirondacks. We celebrated our son’s college graduation and couldn’t have been more pleased with our decision to go to Kanu.

Sunday ribs buffet We had a reservation for 19h45 and at our arrival the charcuterie and cheese board was empty and they didn’t refilled them … the bread left was really hard … even for the desserts board it was empty and had what was left … it was really disappointing . The taste of the vegetables and pasta was tasteless… The ambience was really nice and the decorations as well.

Started out on a sour note. When asked to be at a different table in a virtually empty restaurant, we were refused. Okay, we settled in. Interesting sounding menu items. We ordered and service was quick. We both had wedge salad; interesting twist with green goddess dressing. When asked what was in it, fennel? Server asked the chef, yes fennel but wouldn’t reveal any other ingredients. ??? I had the mussels and husband had rigatoni with wild mushrooms. Mussels were good but served with no bread or crostini; a big miss. I guess I was supposed to buy the $15 focaccia. Husband’s dish was made with penne. Description said rigatoni; sorry but that is a big difference. When we asked the server, she said they’re always switching it on us. That is something that should be told upfront not with a shrug. Had the seven layer chocolate cake for dessert, a bit stale. BTW, the table we wanted initially never was used. Not a place we would recommend.

Pasta was over cooked and priced high. Clams weren’t impressive. Main protein dishes were decent. The dining room was very pretty but overall would skip the meal.

The restaurant had a great atmosphere, serves was excellent , food was good, not great. No bread at table is poor & always turns me off. You can pay $12 for rolls which is ridiculous. But overall it was a good night.

My husband and I were celebrating our 5th Anniversary this weekend in Lake Placid. We stayed at the Whiteface Mountain Lodge and we had our Anniversary dinner at Kanu. The food, the service, the atmosphere was all top notch.

Great drinks and excellent food. We are coming annually and I am in love with their service and food. My favorites: pork belly, Brussel sprouts and halibut . You should try this place !

Service was terrible, dining room was cold, and my dinner arrived cold. It took us close to an hour and a half to get our dinner ( only five tables filled in restaurant). Don’t recommend… but if you go, eat in bar space; warmer, livelier.
