   Beautiful location and view. It was a LONG time before the server took our order. Then it was even LONGER before our food arrived. The wings were dry. The ribeye had an off flavor and you get charged for prawns even if you can’t eat them. Had to ask repeatedly for refills.

   This place is perfect for a casual lunch by the lake or after an early round of golf (like we did) at this beautiful property. The setting is gorgeous. Right next to the clubhouse, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. The food although mostly made of smaller plates is delicious. Tons of great options (I had the French dip which was excellent). The best part was out waitress who was smiling, helpful and super attentive (Breanna I think?). I highly recommend. (Note that the Edge next door will re open on July 1 - Many parts of this building are being remodeled. Bathrooms are now ultra modern with even a shower room available).

   Great view, great food and service from the team. They should reconsider their wine selection by the glass, not impressive or broad enough on price options

   We have been coming to Brook’s bar for 20 years and have often ordered the salmon fish and chips. In the beginning, it was a wonderful blackened recipe - light and flavorful. Then it morphed into a light battered recipe which was ok but now the batter is too dense and doughy and overwhelms the flavor of the salmon and doesn’t allow the fish to cook properly. I am very sad to see this great dish ruined I won’t order it again.

   Overall we had a great time. There is construction happening at the front entrance and they’ve blocked both ramps leading to the front door. When we valeted the car I asked how to get inside and was told to take the stairs around the side of the building. I had my 89 year old grandmother with me. It was either that or wait outside in the storm for a cart to bring us around but was warned that it might take awhile. We ended up using the stairs to get out of the rain but felt this wasn’t appropriate ADA access given the weather conditions. The ambiance is really nice and the food was delicious which is what keeps us coming back when we visit South Lake. The service was slow but our server was busy and very nice so we understood it could have been a staffing issue or delays in the kitchen. The views are great regardless of the weather. Next time we bring my grandmother we’ll probably go to the Bistro to avoid the construction until it’s completed.

   As Tahoe locals we always love Brooks especially during the shoulder season. Yvonne is an amazing and friendly waitress. The ambiance is beautiful and the food and drinks are great.

   Excellent service, beautiful views and delicious food. Valet parking was easy and convenient, you just have to tip the parking attendant. Will visit again next time we visit South Lake Tahoe ♥️
