This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants. The menu is small and well executed, the bar is well stocked and there is always something new to try. The service is friendly and this is a place we come back to often.
The drinks are outstanding and the food is delicious! Dessert was lovely with coffee drinks made especially for my love and I. I would definitely recommend although it is pricey.
Brother in town!
A true hidden jewel on Seattle’s Capitol Hill .
I can’t wait to go again .
Great food, service and ambiance. Leave time to find parking. Natalie and Taylor are standouts!
Everything from start to finish was great. The food and service excellent, and did not disappoint. The only issue is the difficult parking situation, but that is to be expected on Capital Hill. It is recommended to take and Uber, and it also makes the cocktails safer
Our first time there and we really enjoyed the ambience and menu. We'll be back!
Great menu, great food, and a very welcoming owner.
Decent food and drinks. Lovely service. Enjoyed the time spent there.
Always my favorite dining experience in Seattle:)
I was visiting Seattle for a few days. Came as a single and sat at the bar. The bartender was so helpful with her recommendations. Great lively crowd sitting at the bar to interact with. Loved the food and drinks.
Incredible on all fronts. Cozy, yet sophisticated.
Incredible, inspired Serrano vinaigrette on heirloom tomato salad was worth the entire meal! We wiped the bowl clean with our margherita pizza crusts :)
The food, staff, ambience, etc. are fantastic. I'm almost afraid to write this review because we don't want others to go there. IE, we like our little secret! However, everything including the staff is so good people deserve to know about it. Enjoy!
This is one of our very favorite restaurants! Food is delicious, staff is perfect, attentive and friendly. The room is gorgeous, nice lighting, beautiful room. The owner is a true gem. Love.
Yummy food, but very noisy! Service is spotty but forgivable
We tried almost everything on the menu and loved all
Just visiting Seattle and was looking for a casual but delicious meal for our last night in town. Service was great. Food was exceptional. Highly recommend.
We love Single Shot! They were covering a lot of ground last night with a full restaurant and minimal staff but didn’t miss a beat!
The food, cocktails and service is fantastic! Would give them 10 stars if I could!!!
High quality and fresh ingredients shine through in every dish. Terrific neighborhood eatery but worth a special trip too. Friendly staff. I admired the ginger shrub beverage, made on site, so the manager (owner?) Poured me some to take home. Great good aside, that's the sort thing that will bring us back.
Single Shot has a limited menu but everything on it is great! Their Pool Shark cocktail is really something special. Our Steak and Salmon were cooked perfectly and we delicious.
Small menu with great food perfectly prepared, nice bar selection, attentive staff.
Great overall, the food is amazing and the staff is very kind. Take all this with a grain of salt because it was a little short staffed and everyone worked hard to get the plates out. BUT with that said, this place is very loud and plays techno music which seems put of place for this type of establishment. It was a (failed) attempt at a party club type atmosphere. Also, I know this is a little picky but the place was a dusty/ dirty mess. The normally white walls and shiny lighting was pretty grimy with stains and cobwebs. Maybe a basic swifter a couple times a week and some 409 for the wall could help. I’d understand some loose upkeep these days after shutdown but since it was commented on by guests, I consider it a little over the line. My GF and I will be back because these days a tough for restaurants but maybe not the best choice to take my older/elderly parents for a relaxing Saturday brunch.
Everything we ate was delicious….flatbread, salad, pork chop, salmon and both desserts. Atmosphere was wonderful….we ate outside and felt like we were in a European restaurant. We cannot wait to return!
If you are looking for a great brunch place without staying hungry for more than 45 mins while wasting your life, DO NOT visit this restaurant.
We got there around 12 pm and left with an empty stomach around 1 pm. After we placed the order, we only got coffee and drinks, and there was no communication whatsoever how long it would take for us to get the food. Perhaps most people in Seattle are polite and patient, and would rather keep drinking water and talking while waiting for the food that might be served at one point in the near future, this kind of service quality will def not be tolerated in the east coast.
Clearly, there is a significant lack of proper management and operations at this restaurant. More importantly, worst communication I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant.
I had my single shot here, and will never have any shots here in my life!
DO NOT RECOMMEND!
We’ve been doing brunch at Single Shot for years. We’d go every weekend if we could. The eggs benedict are perfection. The staff are world-class and so personable. Tia will take care you and remember your preferences for the next time you inevitability pop in again.
Parking isn't really available due to it being a residental area. This is a very cute little place. Unfortunately we waited almost an hour for our food. I got the berry pancake with bourbon whip. Sadly the whip just tasted like normal whipped cream. There wasn't anything special about it. The pancake itself was very dense with no actual flavour to it and they just drizzled syrup around the plate. It was essentially not possible to finish it because the pancake was too dry to eat on its own. $7 for a side of bacon is pretty steep as well. My partner got the egg bacon sandwich which was served warmish and the greens that came with it were too salty. The atmosphere is comfy but noisy and the staff seems a little distracted otherwise. Would not recommend for brunch.
Food was good, but service extremely slow. Ordered breakfast at 10:10am and waited until 11am for our meals. I believe there was a problem in the kitchen. The servers were very friendly and professional.
Great service, good food, very small portions and quite hot inside the restaurant.
I gave it a shot. A single shot - as it would prove to be. This is a much loved locals foodie venue which come off as overly pretentious and loud. I could barley hear my server over the level 11 house music. Yes, it goes to eleven! We sampled the green salad which was a very simple affair with a lovely essence of vinaigrette and several pine nuts. It was a terrific cut of fresh crisp lettuce. I think I would have simply renamed the dish “lettuce” rather than salad which evokes the notion of an accompaniment of another item of flora. The server dropped it off at the table and scurried away - perhaps trying to avoid the lip reading which would be required if she remained near by? Later that evening the beef rib small plate arrived. I love daikon and I was very pleased to see a generous cascade of the tender white root covering the protein. In my humble opinion the white radish is a wonderful vehicle to transfer a variety of enticing flavors - ginger….tamari….gochujang? Nope. However it was a very fresh minimalist sampling of raw daikon. In all fairness the beef rib was well prepared (sous vide I suspect?) and did carry some of the touted ginger tingle. The dishes finish was flat however. I’m not opposed to minimalist cuisine but why not state that as your claim? If you are a curious foodie passer-by from out of town then I suggest you prepare to be underwhelmed. If you are a local fan then have no doubts you will drown out my sad 3 star review with your 5 star shout-outs. Please provide sincere servers in the future mr restaurateur as this was the most negative aspect of this review - deafening house music notwithstanding.
Great date spot.
Excellent, fresh food, not low end ingredients bathed in low quality oils. Nice presentation. Fun, well decorated venue with professional, friendly staff and owner.
I love single shot.
It has been in my top couple of restaurants in Capital Hill for years. The food is impeccable, the owner/host Rory is kind and takes amazing care of his guests
The drinks are creative and well-made, the bartender clearly loves his job and cares about quality.
My only caveat, is the inside can be a little loud, so might not be the very best spot, on a busy night, to have an intimate conversation, (Very easy to fix, just grab an outside table!)
Excellent food and service. The place was quiet and easy to visit during dinner. I highly recommend for a nice date night!
We had to sit outside near a parked car. The food was good but overpriced for the amount we received. Steak was about half the portion of a steak house but for the same price. Otherwise, server was very nice - food was tasty. Would have preferred to sit inside.
Great to have Single Shot in our neighborhood! Creative menu featuring fresh ingredients. Professional and welcoming service.
We ate the early spring greens, salmon, NY strip, chocolate cake, and bourbon ice cream, along with some wine and cocktails. Usually not the people to order desserts at a restaurant, yet we ate every single bite of every dish from start to finish. Everything was wonderful. You get what you pay for here.
Great! Food was delicious and ambiance was smooth.
Best brunch we’ve ever had.
