Single Barrel Ratings and Reviews
Great service experience, good food experience at Single Barrel the evening of the Garth Brooks concert. This is a meat forward restaurant. We both went with the smoked side of the menu. Tried the sampler of ribs, brisket, & pork. Ribs & brisket were outstanding with good smoky flavor. Pork was a little on the fatty side, but flavor was good.
Appetizers were very good, but the sirloin steak I had was fantastic! I also had 3 glasses of the Sangria cocktail (red) and each of those drinks were super! One of the other people with me had the filet steak and she raved about that and the potato cakes for the entire rest of the meal! Bloody Mary drink comes loaded with a skewer of green olives, cheese chunks and some andouille sausage! Delish!
Service was like a painful turtle. There is no excuse for food taking an hour to arrive & cocktails 20 minutes. We were so rushed to make Lied show by the time food came that there was no birthday dessert as promised. Food was average. No handsoap in ladies restroom makes you wonder how female servers are meeting food safety standards. GROSS! There are so many fab dining places downtown, we probably won't be back.
The service was terrible. We went there on a football Friday fully expecting it to be busy but what we didn't expect was to sit a full 20 minutes before we finally went and asked for a server only to be told no one told her she had a table. Overpriced food served on a plastic lunch tray with a slice of wonder bread. Never going back!!
Extremely poor service. 20 minutes after beng seated a drink order was finally taken. 45 minutes before water arrives at the table.
Dinner was a 2.5 hour experience, not because we wanted to be leisurely. Had to constantly flag down a server if we wanted anything. Really, really disappointed that they could not do better the night before a Husker home game.
I had the pork chop with peanut butter sauce and bacon jam. Sounds weird but was outstanding! Others had the brisket, duck and NY strip. All said it was great and perfectly cooked. They often have live music but not this night. It is conveniently located to Pinnacle Bank arena and a parking garage.
Chef Harpster and his staff delivered an excellent meal as always. My guest and I had the PB&J pork chop, always the best choice, and the meat sampler for some variety. The sauces complimented the meal nicely. Our server Maddy was such a delight and extremely helpful.
We went to Single Barrel with a large group of family for my graduation dinner. The staff was perfect and the food was delicious. It was a little noisy but there were a lot of bigger parties around us so that was understandable. I really recommend eating here!
Food and drinks were fantastic but the show we were there for started 2.5 hours late. We wouldn't have showed up as early as we did if we'd known. I'm disappointed that the managers didn't have the respect for their customers to have their performer begin anywhere near the advertised time.
