   I stopped in her for dinner and had a great experience. Barb recommended the special, helped me find the right drink and even talked me into desert. I will certainly be back because of her!!

   Outstanding service, our waiter did an excellent job in explaining the menu, as this was our first visit. He frequently checked with us to ask if we needed anything. Food was great, meats cooked to guest's preference.

   Everything about our visit was great except for one thing. The steaks were cooked perfectly, mashed potatoes and Mac & cheese were delicious and service was spot on. Just don’t get the cookie dough cheesecake for dessert. No flavor and really didn’t resemble cheesecake. Not sure what happened there.

   I made reservations for after my husband’s graduation from UNL. We are from out of town and had never eaten here before. The food and drinks were great. Our service was good, but nothing above and beyond. Wish they had a dessert menu. Would recommend!

    The steak we had was good- loved the cornbread. The crab cakes were very small and not great- our s’more crème brûlée dessert was not good. Would try the other one if we are to return.

    I keep wanting to love this restaurant. We are in Lincoln often and frequently dine at Single Barrel. The food is always meh and the service is nothing to rave about. The ambiance is more like a fast food restaurant than a high end steak house. This last visit my steak was underdone and my husbands overdone (we ordered the same thing). The folding chairs were wobbly and the table was slanted. I mean it will fill your belly, but nothing to rave about for sure. For a steak house in cow country I expect more.

    Quite loud, be prepared, especially on a Friday evening before a football game. Think about going a little early to avoid the crowd.

    A wonderful dinner for two tired travellers. We ate in the bar and the bartender was our server. She was terrific: informal, engaging and full of smiles. We had the beef medallions and shell and shell. We shared them and both thought the beef dish excellent. One of us found the seafood too spicy, but the other loved it.

    I think this is an establishment headed for real trouble. I think it can be salvaged, but changes will have to happen fast. The venue itself is very nice, and a great spot for looking out at downtown Lincoln. Our server and the staff were all very good, no problems there. That leaves the negative then about the food. It is a very pricey and limited menu. Which is fine, if the food delivers. In this case it did not come close to delivering the quality that the price demands. If you consider going, consult the menu first. Nearly all is ala' carte and upper end priced. And frankly Omaha Steaks, cooked at home, are better. I don't like writing a negative report about the establishment. I really hope they smack themselves in the head and look at that menu and overhaul it. Right now they are premier priced and located in a mid-scale atmosphere and location. They can get it right, and I hope they do. I liked the place, not the food quality and price.

    Restaurant feels open like a cafeteria, chairs at our table had comfortable seat but uncomfortable backs, server was attentive and friendly but didn’t have a good grasp of the menu. In all 3 out of 5.

    There was construction going on and a bit of a fly problem. Appetizers were very good, steak were ok just not great. Servers were incredibly nice just not up on bourbon or drink menu. Great place if you get to the hotel and just don’t want to travel

    We thought for our anniversary we would try a restaurant we have not been to before. BIG MISTAKE. Just a loud sports bar with bad service and over seasoned food. Crab cakes served lukewarm and undercooked. We ordered a steak rare to medium rare, the steak we received was a little over medium and seasoned heavily.

    Great location next to The Graduate Hotel and not far from Pinnacle Arena. We enjoyed the cocktails very much, especially the Black Currant Old Fashioned. Service was very good and ambiance was lively and fun but not too loud. We thought from the website that this was going to be a semi-formal restaurant good for a date night before a concert, but it's more of a bar, more casual than we expected. Menu has good variety. We both ordered steaks and for being in the great Midwest, we were disappointed in the quality. We don't think it was the preparation, just not great steaks. We had different cuts but neither were that great. We did like the mac and cheese side but if we went back we probably wouldn't order steaks. Perhaps the sandwiches or burgers would have been a better choice to try.

    the server was kind and quick to get our order taken care of. but the food was nothing to be excited for. i got a steak which was loaded with fat and grissel, couldn't eat most of it. and my wife got a pasta dish which was way to spicy for her. but the menu made no mention of that. and the sandwich that she got to replace it looked like it was just thrown together to get it out. the mashed potatoes, if that is even what you want to call them looked like baby food. not impressed at all. will not be returning.

    Disappointing they were out of all BBQ items, no onion rings, no Mac n cheese. Food took a long time & my soup was room temperature. Food was just okay. Was not wowed On the bright side our waitress did a great job refilling drinks, checking on us etc. We should have been informed when we arrived all the items they were out of.

    We were in town for a sporting event the staff was overwhelmed the number of people. They were definitely short handed but handled it well. Just not sure the town expected the number of people during the two day tournament.

    Server was rushed. Our dinner was two hours long due to the lack of attentiveness. Felt like she wasn’t working for tips! The $50 steak was ordered medium but was brought out well done. Offered to only knock offs $4 or to re cook a new one ( this was after we sat there for 90 minutes). Bread pudding was dried out and about an inch high. Crème brûlée was chunky. Would NOT recommend!

    Food was ok but not for the price. Small portions of sides for $5.00 a piece. The tables are part banquet and part weird outdoor seats. Ambiance for Valentines day was a no go - more sports bar with expensive food. Worst thing was that it was freezing inside - couldn't feel our hands so cold. The food came and within in 5 minutes it was cold. We definitely will not be going back.
