Phenomenal service top to bottom. Incredible menu. Eclectic cocktails. Perfect for date night!
Absolutely amazing and worth the splurge. Favorite was definitely the fried chicken and biscuit bar and of course the mimosas
Brunch was fun, and the atmosphere is nice. The food is good. The only negative is breakfast drinks like coffee and juice aren’t part of the buffet.
great experience! Love the food - brunch was delicious
Brunch was very good and excellent renovation of the old theater into modern restaurant. Biscuits and fried chicken were the best. Bottomless Mimosa and bloody Mary bar was average. Place was packed and could use a bit more room to walk between tables with full plates. Also, suggest felt pads on feet of chairs to prevent high pitch scrape on tile floor. Many people were flinching when chairs made this sound. Great 80s music!!! Overall, clean, good food and great price for brunch buffet. Will definitely go again!
I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday! We both enjoyed the food and service. Very cozy and cool ambiance!!!
Ordered market price steak. You’d think if it was $80 the waiter would have mentioned it. We forgot to ask but never would have thought $80 unless we were at a steak house. Plus it wasn’t that great and overcooked
The cheese and charcuterie platter was excellent and each of the four members of our party loved their food. The service was always on point but never invasive.
The restaurant is an interesting venue. The conversion from a theater to restaurant was done well. I recommend a cover-up, as it was quite chilly inside. The service was good and food quite flavorful. Only problem was poor planning in the kitchen led to almost every table's dinner being extremely delayed. They did apologize and offered dessert but by that point, we just wanted to leave. It definitely seemed as though they were having an off night.
Beautiful restaurant. Went for brunch and the food was great as was the staff. Already recommended to all my friends!
I felt that the Sunday brunch buffet was grossly overpriced. The food was just okay. On a positive note, the ambiance was cool with an old Hollywood vibe, the service was good, and the bottomless mimosas/bloody mary’s were a fair price. I wouldn’t recommend it for brunch, but I might give it another try for dinner.
Service was terrible ! Food was excellent! Loved the environment!
Extremely impressed with the atmosphere. Great and personable staff. Impeccable food and dessert. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Will definitely be back.
It was my first visit and won’t be the last for sure 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
We were celebrating my daughter's 29th birthday. Everything was fabulous! The atmosphere is so cool. Our server was good. The only thing I was disappointed in was the dessert we chose, the sticky toffee pudding. We had NO idea it basically taste like a Spice cake. We both took one bite and didn't care for it at all!! It was obvious we weren't going to eat it but our waiter never ask why we didn't eat it or anything. Everything else was delicious!! The filet melts in your mouth, worth the price. I just think the dessert should have been taken off my bill or at least replaced with a different dessert. Don't get me wrong, if you like Spice cake, you will probably love it.
Service was slow & inattentive ! Food was ok !
Food was amazing! Loved the cauliflower! From others that I’ve spoken too about Sinema, the reviews are great. We must have hit a bad night. We ordered drinks at the bar and bartender was great! Once we were seated we were never asked again if we wanted a fresh cocktail. Even when they took our empty glasses from table. Waitress was hurried. We wanted to hear a little about the history of restaurant but she would pop up at table and leave before we could get a word in. We’ll definitely return. Think we just hit a busy night.
This was a return visit for a one year anniversary. The destination of our first date the previous year. We were seated on time but not greeted at our table for almost 10 min. The cheese and charcuterie board was a big reason we returned, but the selections of run of the mill prosciutto and Brie disappointed. I’m not sure of the other items because the food runner did not describe them. We finished our app before our server had taken our entree order. Our server was very busy with 4 or 5 two tops and a large 10/12 top party simultaneously. Our entree’s took 45 min to arrive. That was after waiting a while to even order. Not the service I expected or had received previously. Sorry Sinema, you didn’t live up to your reputation.
They were slow with service, and the entrees came out a touch cold. Nothing spectacular food wise, but I can see why people like to go there. Location and ambiance is great
Truly amazing! We immediately loved the setting and the decor, tying in the fact the building was at one time a theater. The cocktail list was very impressive and each one was absolutely delicious. The food was out of this world. Definitely the best Lobster Bisque we've ever had. We can't recommend Sinema enough!
We were late to our reservation but the staff was very accommodating. We also stated that it was my boyfriends birthday and the server went above and beyond with bringing a cupcake to the table for him! The food was delicious and overall a very nice place to bring people from out of town or treating yourself!
First, my reservation was at 8 pm and I didn’t get seated until 8:30. After we were finally seated everything from getting our drink orders, to taking our food order, to getting our food took forever. Even though , the wait staff seemed to be running around we sat and waited for an hour of the two we were there.
Our server was nice but something seemed to be going very wrong. People were leaving after drink orders arrived because it was taking so long.
We ordered the butcher board for an appetizer. It was ok. Not worth the price tag. The people at my table had the scallops, fettuccini and the Manhattan. The food was beautiful and tasty and well cooked and seasoned. For dessert we ordered the Hummingbird cake, Nicks Sundae and the Sticky Toffee pudding and all the desserts were very average and not memorable.
For the most part the food and ambience were above average but with so many restaurants in Nashville that are outstanding I will not return to this one.
This was our belated valentines dinner. It was amazing!!! We had the most wonderful food ever! We will be back and recommend this place to our friends and family. Shout out to our awesome waiter Jeff. He took such great care of us. Special thanks to Julius he is a chef there. He wasn’t working that night. But he sent over some special items for us. It made our evening more special than ever. Thank you for such a great date night!!
We had gone for a nice dinner. The plus was the food was very good. Unfortunately, the service was very very slow. It was so slow the manager came over to apologize, we had thought he might do a nice thing and treat us to one shared dessert given we had waited one HOUR between our appetizer and our dinners served but he did not and we left feeling that was was too long a wait for a good dinner.
Very cool place. Service was awesome, food was excellent,220$ for two is a bit pricy but for my birthday it was worth it! That is drinks appetizer entree and dessert 😁
Looked forward to eating here. Service was excellent and good choice of drinks. Food was over priced and presentation was bland. Wife had 3 scallops for 35 dollars but with it was two very small pieces of spinach on orzo. I had short rib and it was nothing to write home about. Nice place but food is nothing special.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and found the food to be of excellent quality. Our meals (halibut and scallops) were both perfectly prepared. Food was well seasoned, although a bit on the overly salted side. Service was of exceptional quality, and our server was prompt and attentive. Made for a memorable evening.
We loved the mussels, that was our favorite appetizer! The food came out on time, the steaks were a bit tough. It took a while for us to get our checks and pay for the meal. We were also seated next to other couples when there were tables available all over the restaurant, so it made it quite and awkward experience. Felt like speed dating.
Outstanding service and food! If your looking for a great place to simply splurge and have a great evening with your significant other, then this is the place. The food was simply outstanding! The knowledge of the server was second to none. On a side note , if your wanting large portions then this place is not for you. It’s your typical high end restaurant that serves fancy appetizers and entrees for a person with a stomach of a penny. But overall it was worth it. I will go again.
Such a fun place to get brunch on a Sunday afternoon! Considering how much food my friend and I got at the unlimited brunch, it was well worth our money. This brunch is not your average motel "free breakfast" buffet - crepes, made-to-order omelettes, and everything ranging from fried chicken - breakfast paninis made for an amazing experience. We will be back!
It was a wonderful first time in Nashville dinner. It was fantastic and the food was perfect.
IMPECCABLE PLAYLIST! Exceptional spot! Great ambiance and friendly staff. The food was wonderful. A little unknown fact that pleasantly surprised us was that Sinema has an enormous Whiskey & Bourbon selection!!!
I went to Sinema this past weekend with a group of friends from work. I originally had a reservation for 6 people and at the last minute changed it to 8. Sinema is known for their Saturday/Sunday Brunch deal, so I was anticipating a solid no for the change in my reservation. Not only were they accommodating about my reservation change, but they sat us at a really great table upstairs. The food was amazing, but the service was INCREDIBLE. From the hostess, to chef, to bartender, to our amazing server. Overall greatest brunch experience since I moved to Nashville. Sinema for the WIN.
Great brunch! Lots of good choices and all very tasty! Was our first time here and we loved it; great atmosphere too!
Just as amazing-if not better than the first time we ate there! Great for a date night/special occasion, friendly staff, amazing cocktails, DELICIOUS food, not a bad thing here!
Great Happy Hour!
We had a party of 7, and everyone's food was amazing, from appetizers to dessert. Two had the duck, one person had a steak, I had scallops, two had the short ribs, the vegetarian had the papardelle, and I think we tried all the desserts. We also tried the lobster bisque, which was fantastic, esp with the addition of the little banh mis. The cocktails were really unique and delicious as well. Service was on point (this being based on dinner, upstairs in The Lounge was slow and awful, and then she had the gall to auto-grat all of our bills when one couple showed up just in time to grab one round of drinks). Great recommendations, menu knowledge and pacing of the meal. Everything I could want for an exceptional birthday dinner.
Poor quality food in three distinct areas including going up a couple of flights of stairs to wait in line for omelets and crepes. Food was not Shoney's breakfast bar quality for an overpriced breakfast Will not be back.
