Our waiter was very nice. Some of the brunch food was cold. The mimosas are pre-made and are mostly juice.
A little loud but food was awesome! Parking experience was less than desirable though. Valet was full and unapologetic and other options were sketchy at best. Ended up parking a block away and walking!
Brunch was excellent!
Had an awesome time at Sinema and we will be returning soon. We have family coming to visit in early February and we intend on bringing them to Sinema.
Came with group of friends for annual brunch and this was the perfect place. Every thing was great. The only draw back was having to walk down the stairs to get your food for brunch, other than that we had a great experience and plan to return.
Wonderful birthday bunch
Food was excellent. Waitstaff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Will definitely be going back.
Service and food were fantastic. We had the meat and cheese boards, and the ravioli starter, each got different entrees, and 2 desserts. I’d say this place knocks it out of the park with their sauces. The ravioli starter was amazing and I don’t typically like ravioli. The meat and cheese boards were well made with just enough to share and taste everything, and was beautiful to look at. We all enjoyed our entrees very much. We also each ordered a drink and were pleased with the selection available and the taste.
The ice creams on the desserts were the best part of the course, but the cakes were a bit dry without taking a little ice cream with it. I would probably pass on dessert next time in favor of another drink.
Our server, Jordan, was delightful and very helpful.
Sinema was more than I imagined it would be, and it exceeded my expectations. Our server was phenomenal. The bourbon list was extensive. The wine choices were decent, and the food was incredible. The ravioli app was very small, but incredibly delicious. The bread was perfect. I ordered the scallops and was blown away. Ladies, make sure you take a trip to the bathroom (you’ll thank me later).
Great ambiance, atmosphere was cool. But the food was mediocre, too expensive for the quality of food. Not bad but not great. Best for a happy hour setting or drinks and appetizers.
My girlfriends and I met up for a Saturday brunch, and it was a wonderful and fun experience. We are already making plans to come back.
This place is really cool and I love the atmosphere. Overall, the food was pretty good -- the biscuits were excellent as were the potatoes. My kids loved the waffle bar and sweet treats station. However, the kitchen menu items were a huge disappointment. They were either over-cooked or underwhelming. There are not many children, which was a plus. With so many places in Nashville to choose from, I probably wouldn't come back unless my kids asked to but it is worth a visit. Our server, Megan, was great. The Fruity Pebble french toast, which was half the reason (based on the website), we chose brunch here, was a complete letdown and was not what we expected. My 8-year-old wouldn't even eat it.
Visiting for the weekend and wanted to try a good brunch spot. This one looked the best of all the choices we looked up. Beautiful decor and wonderful options. Would recommend going with friends for the bottomless brunch. But next time we roll through town will be visiting again.
I’ve been there in the past 1-2 times a month all year. For the past couple of months the brunch is not as good as it used to be. The mimosas are watered down, the food is not replenished timely and there is inconsistency on the fruit/dessert bar.
The space is very interesting and the concept is good. The service was attentive. However, I had the huevos rancheros which was cold upon arrival to the table.
The dish was also underseasoned and some elements in the sauce were not cooked properly (i.e. crunchy celery and bell pepper in the cooked ranchero sauce).
Overall the ambience is interesting, the service adequate, but the food I tried was mediocre at best.
The restaurant was nicely decorated for the holidays and had the old cinema charm you would hope for at the converted space. The majority of the food was pretty good, but some of the food wasn’t as hot as desired and the pace of service was a little off (slow to serve, but fast to clear). Overall experience was underwhelming at the price point.
Went for brunch. Bottomless mimosas = perfect. They did a great job with refilling our mimosas, even just topping them off. The only thing though is when we first sat down they informed us another reservation would be needing our table in an hour and 45 mins. It was a 21st birthday brunch so we felt as though that seemed a little rushed and unprofessional to give us a time limit on our dining experience. The place is beautiful and the manager was friendly but the young server was snobby to all 7 of us girls.
We really enjoyed our business meeting at the Sinema. Will be back soon!
I ordered a $10 salad and asked for grilled chicken to be added. I received a diff type of chicken and was charged $12 for dry chicken. Out of 5 women, no one loved their meal and 2 people did NOT like it. The ambiance and decor is great though, and I will try again for brunch but never for dinner again.
First time here, been meaning to come for a while but came for a business dinner. The staff could not have been better, we had a time issue with a few members of our party needing to be at a previously scheduled meeting when I notified our hostess during our dinner the staff acted promptly. Goes without saying that the meal and drinks were amazing.
I eat here a lot but not at brunch. I was very disappointed with the brunch. My reservation was at 1 pm, and the food wasn't plentiful or fresh at all. Perhaps reservations should not be taken so late. I love having other meals at this restaurant, but the brunch was a huge letdown. Plus, the kitchen and staff starting closing down and cleaning towards the end of our meal. There was a horrible smell from the kitchen. We did not enjoy our experience. What is going on?
Superburb experience. Excellent food, outstanding service and beautiful decor.
Really interesting place, cool ambience. Food was good but $28 for brunch is pricey if you don't eat meat.
Brunch was excellent and the service was extremely prompt. My mimosa flute was never empty!
Sinema and its staff was fabulous! We had a friend from the Netherlands visiting and wanted to show him something fun and different. We had two small children with us so they sat us in a more quiet spot away from the others, which was perfect! The brunch was very good and our waitress was very attentive - even when it became busy. The bottomless mimosas kept flowing!
Amazing food, incredible atmosphere, & great wait staff! Making this our go-to dinner spot!
Tiffany, our server, was the best of the best ever. Our drinks, appetizers, dessert were off the charts, ambience and decor perfect. LOVED it. Only criticism would be that for that kind of price, the 12 oz steak was near-impossible to chew bc it was so tough 😬
We enjoyed the great food and ambience at this wonderful eatery. Highly recommend.
Perfect date night! We WILL be back!
Sunday night at Sinema offered a Sunday Supper Thanksgiving dinner. We took my husband's family there because everyone is going to be somewhere else on Thanksgiving. They served an amazing stuffed squash appetizer. The salad had special zing. The ham was the best I have ever had. The potatoes and brussel sprouts were out of this world. The dessert was a pumpkin cream brulee that I really liked and I am not a brulee person. I would definitely recommend this place.
Read previous reviews, the price point should have given it away. Food was sub par with inexpensive Brunch items.
Love Sinema! Always try to bring my friends here when I can :) Thank you Q and the Sinema staff for always treating us like family!
Aweosme brunch selection and great service.
Visited Sinema recently with a group of friends to celebrate at 40th birthday. I was expecting a little more- more attention from the waitstaff, more food options, and more uniqueness. For $28, I expect more options for food than eggs, bacon, chicken/waffles and fruit. Yes, the waffle station was fun, but nothing special. Really, the best part were the items you could order- the chilaquites (sp?) and the french toast were amazing. We also had the bottomless bloodies and mimosas. We didn't receive our drinks until we had finished the first round of food. So, then we said just keep them coming. Everyone enjoyed dressing up their bloody mary's how they liked, however both drinks were quite weak.
Overall, it was a neat place to try for brunch, but we will not be back. If you go, ask to sit at a regular table and just leave the pitchers on the table! Do you know how hard it is to go to a buffet and sit in a booth?!
Our cocktails were carefully crafted & the food did not disappoint! Our server was kind & gave great recommendations, although I have a feeling you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. As visitors to Nashville, we were very satisfied with our dinner date choice.
My NY Strip was tough as nails!
Fantastic Service, Fantastic Food, Beautiful Lighting, Nice Quiet Music, Plan to Stay for a 3 Course Meal at Least its Worth your Time
A lovely experience all around!!! Hope to come back the next time I am in Nashville!
Food was not good, service uninspiring. Can do much better for the price. Several years ago this was an outstanding restaurant. It no longer belongs in that category.
This was a place that I have been dying to eat at. Also, you will want to have a photoshoot in the bathrooms.
