Simply Fondue Livermore Ratings and Reviews
The ambiance in this place is great and the food was also very good. Its definitely pricey but I think the quality and feel of the place was worth it. Only downside was things took a bit too long to get started. I think we waited 30mins+ before our fondue was finally served and we got something to eat. Overall highly recommended this place.
Cocktails menu extensive but the waiters explanations limited leading to an initial poor experience !
The menu states fondue $13.00 per person which is reasonable for sharing a pot of fondue . What they don't state is the pot is not a pot but a dish of cheese . The pot is filled with water and a dish placed on top as a double burner effect. We ordered the traditional fondue and when we saw the small amount of cheese decided to order another Italian Fontina fondue. We were not told we would be paying another $13.00 each to eat our second fondue. I might add that the bulk of the their offering are meat bourguignonnes and not traditional fondues. We ordered a Caesar salad to split that basically was lettuce touched by a tasteless commercial dressing and scattered with some hard commercial croutons.
The traditional Swiss fondue was good, as was the accompanying dipping veggies Unfortunately the bread was not the crisp and fresh but rather soft and not great.
I have dined in may fine restaurants in my life. This is not one of them! A little training of staff on how to establish a relationship with customers would go a long way. A detailed description by the waiter of what we had ordered might be in order as it migrated quite a bit from the traditional fondue menu. Most professional staff know to do this when confirming an order. Mixing cheese with pesto and marinara sauce defeats the purpose of the cheese experience and creates a tasteless mess. The other choices of cheddar fondue and pepper jack with added ingredients seemed equally atrocious.
As to the overpriced meat fondue bourguignonnes the menu was packed with too many confusing choices of meats then flavorings or sauces ?
Not sure what they are trying to do here but quality is obviously not the goal ! If you want to go somewhere to be attended to by condescending waiters that don't really know fine dining service and food that is subpar, tasteless and deceptive pricing this is the place for you.
Very fun way to spend a night out, dinner will take you about 2-3 hours as you get through courses. Go hungry so you can enjoy cheese, main course and dessert fondue! We had 7 people and enjoyed a good variety of fondue! Service was excellent, food very good. Prices are rather high, but look for their special during the middle of the week.
The good is always great & we have always enjoyed our visits to Simply Fondue. However, what really makes for. Great experience is attentive and personable waitstaff. This visit was no exception. Phillip was our waiter and was very friendly and helpful, and still very attentive despite having a large party and other tables. We had a great dinner & will return soon! Bring your appetite!
We went here for our anniversary dinner and the food was good. Something very different than usual. Drinks were good and the entre and dessert was too good but I felt lack in service. Our server wasn't that great nor she did anything special for our anniversary. I saw at other tables they did get them some champange with candle. I would have expected them to do something for us than just dinner.
I had explicitly mentioned them in my reservation.
This restaurant has extremely good food. The service is really good and the experience is fun. My only issue is the pricing. We went for Sunday brunch and decided to add in the chocolate fondue for 4. The bill came out to close to $300 with absolutely no drinks whatsoever. Again food is great but I will not be going back
It was mine and my best friend's first time having fondue so we really didn't know what to expect. The waitress was awesome and very attentive. She patiently explained the do's and dont's and also gave great food and cocktail recommendations. It was my bff's birthday and I wanted to go somewhere we'd never been and it be a good experience. It was and I'd definitely go back. We had the combo platter of steak chicken and shrimp. I loved the sour watermelon martini which had kick and tasted just like a sour patch kid and we had the desert which came with fruits, brownie, cookie doe and the fondue was a mix of white and milk chocolate.
Quite delicious. We hadn't been there before and our server took the time to explain how the menu worked. We were truly stuffed by the end of the meal. We were celebrating our anniversary and we got two complimentary glasses of champagne at the end. We will definitely visit again.
I've been to Simply Fondue twice and it's my 3rd dining experience over there. I am a cheese and bread person, so it can't go wrong with Fondue ;) Our waitress Susie had the exceptional customer service, she explained the menu thoroughly even we told her we have been to Simply Fondue before. Not to mention our cheese fondues were BOMB, I am looking forward to visit there this year again :) Thanks Susan for the excellent services!
Came here for my birthday. It was great. Our waitress did a wonderful job. We had come here once before and liked it enough to come back and give it a Second go around. This time we ordered 2 cheeses and an entree and decided to grill it. We chose the Smoked Gouda and Whiskey Cheddar cheese with the Combination Entree. The smoked Gouda was delicious it was our favorite of the night and the Whiskey Cheddar was good but it was a bit rich in flavor for my taste. They bring you as much fresh veggies and bread as you’d like. Our entree was the combination and it can came with shrimp, 2 kinds of beef, 2 kinds of chicken. A ravioli and we ordered a lobster tail on top of that. Plenty of food for the both of us. I will say one of the chicken and one of the beef had a little too much spices and made it a little difficult to eat.
Our first visit we ended up getting the 4 course
Meal for 2 @ $59 a person. Again, it was delicious. This came with a salad each, choice of cheese fondue, choice of 6 meats or seafood (3 choices per person) with choice of cooking style and a chocolate fondue. It was plenty of food for the two of us and great since you get to have a taste of just about everything on the menu then this is the way to go. Be prepared to spend some time here and make a reservation as it has been busy both visits and hard to get a table once the dinner rush time hits. Overall I recommend this place if you have never fondued or like to have a nice night with your significant other.
Wonderful food and service!
We actually probably did not need reservations for our late lunch at 3pm..they open at 3pm. The food was fabulous. We had salads, cheese fondue and wine. We chose a local Wente wine, which paired great with our food.
Awesome place! Will go back for dinner soon
This was the best meal I have had in a long long time. The meal was everything we expected and more. The martini's were flavorful and totally worth the price. Yes, it is a little on the higher end on price. BUT the food was well worth it and the atmosphere was incredible
Unique menu - fun to cook at the table but can have the restaurant prepare your meal. Cheese fondues are delicious, salads are fresh, sauces are really good, nice wine list. Enjoyed the dessert chocolate fondues as well. Too pricey for me to become a regular but great when you want to splurge.
