Simply Fondue - Ft Worth Ratings and Reviews
It was our first time there, it was a great experience over all! Our waiters name was Levi and he was awesome, so upbeat and helpful. The only complaint we had would be the booth arrangement having us so close to the table it was uncomfortable. We will definitely go back again!
Over priced menu for bland and sometimes downright horrid food. Dingy location with exposed duct work on the ceiling of this basement location. The service was sub par for the price and an overall disappointing experience. Spend your money elsewhere. Any good steakhouse trumps this place by a country mile.
Simply Fondue is a fun and different dining venue. The quality of meats, vegetables and fruits are amazing. Be prepared to stay a few hours as it takes a while to cook your own food. That's the fun part; dipping an assortment of bites in delicious cheeses, broths and to die for chocolates!
It was the best overall dining experience I've ever had. We enjoyed every part, from beginning to end. Our server Marissa, was helpful, as it was our first time dining at Simply Fondue. The atmosphere was wonderful, and overall experience was amazing. We will be back.
Our service was great--nice, friendly, attentive waiter. This restaurant just lacks character. For us, it's pricey (even with the coupon) and there is nothing special about its ambience. Our table had a board next to it that could be removed to connect it to the adjacent table. A young couple was seated on the other side of the board and we had to work at not hearing every word of their first date. I like that the meal is paced slowly, but they need to think through some things. Hard bread and raw veggies are not great with melted cheese. The options for dessert don't feel well-matched either. Seems like a scoop of ice cream was needed to pour the melted chocolate over.
We were given cheesecake for free since we told the waiter we were celebrating our anniversary. As I said, our waiter was great and being forced to eat slowly made for better conversation.
My wife and I celebrated our 49th anniversary at Simply Fondue and we were simply thrilled with the staff, food and ambience. Everyone we encountered after walking through the door was pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. We were seated immediately and served by a cheerful young lady who took our order and checked in on us regularly throughout our stay. I can say, we will be back again. Thanks to the entire staff.

It was super simple making a reservation online and for it being a last minute decision, the wait was only 30 min from the time I made to reservation to the time we got there and sat down. Levi was an amazing waiter and took his time wth is even though we were only there for dessert.
Food has gone down hill...not as good as it used to be!!! Not really worth the price anymore...
We came to celebrate birthdays and the hostess sat a dad and 4 small kids right across from us.
When the server has to raise her voice to tell us how to do the cooking, you know it’s bad!!!
Incredible experience! Wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The experience of cooking your own food is what it's all about. A little pricey, but well worth it. My wife and I loved the atmosphere, the coziness, and the experience. This is not a rushed dinner; it is an experience, so plan to spend some time (we spent 3 hours). Savor it and enjoy. The martinis are terrific as well!
Overall, I would say Simply Fondue is just average. The first thing I noticed was the dank, musty smell as you make your way downstairs to the restaurant and through the hallways. You definitely feel like you are eating in a basement. The decor is old and in a little rough shape. Could definitely use an update. Our waitress was great! Very knowledgeable and friendly. All of the service was great. The cheese appetizer needs some help. The veggies are okay, but the, what seems to be week old, bread chunks could be improved upon. The selection of meats was great for the main course. A little something for everyone. The definite highlight of the meal was dessert. The rocky road chocolate fondue was awesome! This place is a bit overpriced for you cooking all your own food, so the overall value isn’t that great. This is definitely a place to go just for the experience and not much else.
Simply is one of my favorite places to eat, however this visits was disappointing. The service was not the same as it was slow and the quantity of bread, veggies and desserts was very small. The table placement for our party of 4 was very small in the tete tete. The restroom was very dirty and had no paper towels and trash on the floor. I believe this has to be just an off experience, the restaurant is too nice and costly for this to be the new standard for Simply so I will be back again for my birthday. Hoping improvements are made because I would hate to have to find a new favorite.
Our server John was outstanding. Proximity to Bass Hall was perfect. Reservations were easy. The only complaint is that it is ridiculously overpriced. We ordered the "Chef's Special" which is $50 a person. This is a 3-course meal which is nice, however, with the additional cost of alcoholic beverages and tip our total bill was $150 for two people. (I should also note that the meat portion of the meal is served with hot oil for you to cook yourself and is a bit tedious remembering the cook times for various types of meat! ) This is a definitely only a place for "special occasions" for a couple on a budget!
Our server Levi was fantastic and made our experience fun and special. He overheard us saying it was our son’s birthday and brought him a complimentary slice of cheesecake topped with a candle without us asking. The food was excellent as well. We will be back!
