Simon Pearce Restaurant
Reservations are not accepted for lunch.
Fabulous food. Wonderful service. Gorgeous restaurant. We highly recommend our favorite dinning spot.
Wow! One of my new favorite restaurants in the area. Super cool space - you can watch glass blowing while you wait for a table, and the restaurant is right on the river. So beautiful. Food was excellent too and reasonably priced for an upscale restaurant like this.
Restaurant had nice ambience. Food was fantastic and we enjoyed it very much. Would definitely come back.
From beginning to end, perfection. Beautiful building, decor and intimate atmosphere filled with Simon Pearce glass and pottery. The staff were truly happy and accommodating.
The Simon Pearce wine was wonderful. We had the cheese plate followed by the duck and fish. Delicious and perfectly presented.
We asked our server to surprise us with dessert. Out came a wonderfully smooth and yummy creme brûlée.
Perfect evening out with even some Simon Pearce shopping.
The restaurant is in a very nice setting, with windows looking out over the river. The food was good, not fabulous but good, and we enjoyed our dinner. The service was extremely slow (it took an hour for us to get our entrees), and the restaurant was not at all crowded so I don’t think it could possibly have been a question of the kitchen being backed up. But for me the biggest problem was that the server did not apologize for the slow service. He was not at all attentive.
Awesome, as always! We cannot wait to go back each season !
Have been coming here for 25 years and have never had a bad meal or an unpleasant server. Highly recommend this restaurant
The place is lovely and the food good but our server was surly and unaccommodating. Really too bad. The shop staff and glassblowers were all very friendly.
May have been the finest meal we have had at Simon Pearce. The service was fantastic.
Waitress’ family happened to be from Finland and one of my guests was as well. What a coincidence!! Aside from that and including that the experience was fantabulous! View, craftwork, food, diners, waitress, wine; conversation, cheese, pork belly, fish, short rib, cocktails...all was fantastic!!
A perfect experience, food was exceptional and so was the view, couldn't of been better
Amazing food, service, overall experience. Highly recommend.
Service was excellent. Table had a view of the river. Dinner was very good.
Enjoying a long awaited weekend away in Vermont. We had a great time and very much enjoyed visiting Simon Pierce. Food and atmosphere were just right for a wonderful evening.out.
The food and ambiance at Simon Pearce is consistently excellent. Not much can beat a waterfall outside the window. My cod was tender and delicious, with finely shredded onions, delicately deep fried, as a garnish and flavor enhancer. The portion was so generous that I only ate half of the entree, which resulted in my sole complaint. As I was enjoying my second perfectly prepared cocktail and the conversation at my table, my remaining dinner was whisked away without my notice. The usual question from waitstaff, "are you done enjoying your meal?" was skipped so that I didn't have an opportunity to ask for the remainder of my meal to be packed up for home. I was so disappointed when I realized that my dinner was gone. The delicious chocolate dessert and the staff's fulfillment of a request for a birthday candle for our guest of honor was some consolation.
Wonderful in every way!!! Delicious food. Great service. Gorgeous environment.
We always enjoy dining at Simon Pearce, but I think that this recent meal was the best I've ever had. I had erred when making the reservation and we showed up a day in advance, but the hostess couldn't have been more understanding and helpful. I'm sure it would have been somewhat different if it were a weekend night, not a Tuesday, but we would have just driven back the next evening. It's that good.
We had a wonderful time , our server was lovely he was welcoming a lot of knowledge, made our experience well worth the visit.
I made a reservation here for my mom’s 70th birthday but wasn’t able to be there. They accommodated me and made my mom feel super special.
This is hands down the best place to eat in the Upper Valley. Make sure you have a special occasion, though, because this is special. An incredible view, artfully crafted food, amazing service, and a relaxing atmosphere. Couldn't recommend this more.
Wonderful from beginning to end. We really appreciate all of the special dietary adjustments the chef made. Our server took special notice of our requests and made the evening special.
Beautiful setting, glassware, service...cheese platter outstanding, arugula Brussels sprout salad yum, everything else was good but most would not get what they got again and would perhaps try something different next time. Our service was unbelievable and it was a very special night.
very pleasant experience, will be duplicated as soon as possible!
One of my favorite restaurants ANYWHERE.
Lovely setting and good service but the food has declined. Disappointing cod dish( a white mound of potatoes and fish with little taste) and downright weird tuna. It was a Tuesday night so maybe should have avoided fish? Duck just ok. Beef short rib good .Cheddar soup is always good. Server was very nice .
Great presentation - delicious entres
This was the second night I went to Simon Pearce and the food and service were delicious! I had the salmon entree and maple creme brûlée. Everything was cooked to perfection!
I would most likely recommend SP to friends and generally do. That said, I am always lukewarm on the food. This most recent visit half of my meal was AMAZING (scallops in a creamy bacon and clam cream) - I could have had another serving. But the gem lettuce salad with anchovy was average and under-seasoned and the chickpea fritters dry and a bit flavorless (as was the lentil base upon which they were served - the tzatziki saved this dish from being completely terrible). When I walk away from a restaurant - especially a fine dining restaurant - I don't like thinking to myself "I could have done a better job with a few of those dishes." So, food was average. That said, our service was PERFECTION and could not have been better. And having dined at SP dozens of times over the past decade and a half, I often have this experience. So, a good meal, yes. Stellar, no. Lastly, it would be nice to see SP be a bit more creative with its menu...I realize that a majority of your clientele are tourists and it is probably safer to serve for the palette of the masses, but us locals who love you wish you would mix it up a bit more.
The duck, the duck, the duck! Enough said.
My husband and I brought our adult children there for dinner. We did a little shopping first!
It was a wonderful evening. We loved dining in the room that overlooks the river. The service was great and we enjoyed our meals.
Great restaurant. Food was pretty good. The vibe was even better. Glass shop downstairs was really cool.
never fails to be a magical night, with an amazing table overlooking the falls and a server who was very special. Just a lovely night. Worth every minute of the 1.15 hour drive to get there!
We have been to this restaurant before and it was usually good.
This time the service was very slow. Other diners we getting their meals before us. The appetizer was good but only warm in temperature when it should have been hot. We told out server about that. Then our main course arrived and the same thing happened. Both were warm but not hot. They offered us a gift certificate for a future visit, but we declined. I was sad because we always had great meals there but I fear they have grown too big too quickly.
Fabulous food and amazing service - all with a spectacular view and you can shop before or after dinner! Such a great!! Will definitely go back!!
Very accommodating for our large group. As always food was delicious, service was great!
Special wife date
The food was excellent. I enjoyed the winter seared salmon as a main course and it was a beautiful dish, perfectly executed. My waitperson, Suzanne, was polished and friendly. A lovely dining experience.
Simon Pearce is still a special destination, especially if you can come during the day in spring, summer, or fall because of its setting/location, and of course, the gorgeous glassworks. We had not been for almost 20 years, but the ambiance and levels of service (superior and graceful but never stuffy) were still there. The menu selections and wine list also continue to be first rate. The food was good and artfully presented (is that not a trend in itself that is getting a bit stale?), but not as mind-blowingly good as remembered. The Vermont Cheddar soup was "okay." The baguette and grain bread served were forgettable. I had the rack of lamb special and my companion had the sirloin. Portions were somewhere between Nouvelle and now (why skimp on the sides?). Certainly great for a special occasion and 3-4 stars overall, but I think there are more creative flavorful and satisfying dishes to be had in newer places.
Our appetizers and food were very good. We were disappointed that our dinners took and hour and a half to come out.
The food was delicious the service was fast and the waitstaff were friendly. Worth every penny.
