The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was over priced and average compared to other similar restaurants.
of all the selections you have for recommending this restaurant for (you can get rid of 50 %) theres sure not much for being able to rate the food! Which was outstanding and cooked to perfection. The servers cared when each selection was ready to be delivered to ones table. Excellent attention to patron's dining experience!
Went for the BOGO weekday lunch special. The meal was exactly the right amount of food for a light lunch. It was quiet, the service was quick and the quality excellent.
Beautiful view. Great food. Awesome service
As always, Simon and Seaforts never disappoints. Great food, service (Darryl was our waiter) and enjoyable other diners. Yes, we will be back.
Very good but very expensive food in a great location with spectacular views. Also has a decent wine list.
Our server was very courteous and our food was delicious. The Cod was so fresh. We sat right next to the windows and it was such a beautiful ocean view.
We were visiting Alaska, and a good friend suggested Simon and Seaforts for dinner. We were not disappointed.
After spending the day on the Mantanuska glacier, we were exhausted. But... we were also very hungry. Thankfully, we had made reservations ahead of time at Simon and Seaforts. We walked in and were seated immediately. The view in this restaurant is beautiful; the sun was just beginning to set.
Our waiter Ryan was great. Really friendly, and knowledgeable. Because we were so tired, he took our orders and brought our cocktails quickly. I had the the special Blueberry cocktail; one of the best I have ever had. A perfect cap to our day. Salads and dinner came shortly thereafter. We decided to split the wedge salad; it was great, and just the right size. Because we had been in Alaska for over a week, we had eaten plenty of fish, so we went for the prime rib, and char-broiled filet. Both were excellent. Cooked perfectly, with tasty sides. They also have an extensive wine list to choose from.
Another plus is, Simon and Seaforts is centrally located; an easy walk to many of the downtown hotels. We were staying at the Captain Cook; only 2 blocks away.
So yes; this is a great place to eat, excellent food and cocktails with a breathtaking view. Highly recommended. It is a bit pricey, but in our opinion, worth every penny.
My sister was up from California and we had a great dinner there before she flew back. Simon’s has been my favorite place for over 30 years.
Great dinner for a large group. We had a nice space in the back where we could talk freely
Service was excellent. Appetizer, salad, and desserts were great. The prime rib was rare as requested but unfortunately it was very chewy. Nevertheless we will be back. Thanks. Sean
I had mentioned my husband and I where celebrating our anniversary and they made our night special. The food..service..setting all where excellent
Great company, great food, great service and atmosphere! Had a wonderful time!
Chose Simon’s for its iconic reputation for a business client who’s never been to restaurant. However, the food was mediocre. Very disappointed and embarrassing since I spoke highly of the place. Service was excellent as usual. Pleasant atmosphere too.
As usual, food and service was excellent. We came in for brunch and got there before the restaurant was crowded.
For the first time, the background noise level was very low and we were able to have a normal conversation. Usually the noise level is too high for conversation.
Great food with an incredible view. I would't bring children, and it can be a bit noisey. All in all a great dining experience.
Simon and Seaforts never disappoints. My wife and I went out for a long overdue date and it was the best meal that I have had in a long time. The atmosphere is always nice and the the food was delicious. The prime rib and the steak that we had was cooked to order and flawless. While sitting at the window facing the water we had a beautiful view of the Cook Inlet and the mountains.
Always good food and great service. I had forgotten how loud the dining room gets. It is also starting to look like the furnishings have seen better days...
Everything was great. Thanks for the great dinner!
Food came out cold - that was really the only complaint. Food was quite cold upon arrival at table (crab legs with grilled tomato and green beans and prime rib with potatoes and asparagus)
We had a wonderful meal celebrating the 42nd anniversary of our blind date. Kyle's service and attentiveness was superb. The baked Alaska for dessert was a very special treat!
The mussels are always fantastic! The wine was great, the prime rib was great, the bread was great. And I'm sure the dessert would have been great if any of my party was not too full to eat any!
Simon's is always a great time!
The food was good, the service was excellent and attentive but it took a long long time to get our servings of each course.
it took a long time for our food to arrive. It was not particularly busy.
service was good.
I am disappointed due to the fact that I had reserved this letting them know my husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and requested a window table with an ocean view. We have always been accommodated with this in the past and acknowledged for our anniversary and none of this happened. Otherwise our food and service was fabulous!
I've been a Simon's regular for since the 80's and consider it a comfortable, reliable place to dine. Food is consistently better than average and service is very good. That being said, I feel that Simon and Seafort's is falling a bit behind in serving the local dining scene. Times have changed for the better when considering local dining options and Simon's needs to step up it's game. While the view is certainly a draw the venue has looked a bit tired and dated for quite some time now. I think it's time for a long needed deep cleaning and perhaps a total makeover. When I take out of town guests to Simon's their reaction is most often underwhelmed. I think Restaurants Unlimited can do a bit better. I'll still dine their on a regular basis but it won't necessarily be my first choice as it was in the past.
We found our food so-so. The halibut was over cooked and both red meat dishes were undercooked. Pretty expensive for the portion size.
Top-notch as always. Excellent service and great tasting food.
We made our reservations a month in advance but still our requested window table was unavailable. The food is average at best. I would rate this restaurant a tourist attraction.
The view was spectacular- we arrived just prior to sunset and we had a window for or table of 10. The staff was attentive and efficient. The food was great. I hadn't been to Simon & Seafort's for some time. It was such a great dinning experience for all of us. I will be back soon.
Out w our favorite friends- great time!
My wife and I always go to Simon's on our anniversary and, we've always enjoyed it. The smoked top sirloin was THE best steak that I've ever tasted.
The bar side can be loud, restaurant side is appropriately quiet.
Great food and service, the only issues was I asked for a window seat and it was written in the comments but when we should up they said sorry but no seats, however the food and our server were great.
Simon’s is or favorite for special occasions and out of state visitors. It is always excellent and the views fantastic!
We arrived for the 'First Seating' menu, which is always a very good value. PLUS, we were there for sunset and it was magnificent. The food was good. Not great, but consistent and good. Our waiter was WONDERFUL, as was every other staff member we encountered. This is why we will be back; they treat you great, the views can be amazing, and they serve good food.
We celebrated a birthday/anniversary and they had decorated the table and provided a “free” dessert with a candle! Amazing service, amazing food, spectacular view. Everything was perfect. This restaurant has never let us down. It’s my “go-to” restaurant for any special occasion!
Love selecting from the specials menu. Our serve Steve was awesome.
Food and service was very good. A little noisy but it cannot be helped because the restaurant is very popular. It took me some time to have my coat back from the cloak.
We had a late night flight out of Anchorage and wanted a good seafood dinner before leaving. Simon and Seafort didn't disappoint. We had scallops and halibut, well prepared and good flavor. Service was excellent.
