One of my favorite places to eat!
Service was good. Food came out fast. Not a busy night. Generous portions on appetizer.
Calamari was good but could have used a little seasoning. Never had to ask for anything from servers, they were on it. Water, dishes cleared etc. .. Ordered the French onion soup and it was wonderful but rich and then I couldn't eat my entrée - oops. Nice place for quiet dinner with my husband and not too outrageously expensive for Anchorage.
It was our anniversary and they got us in and taken care of. The halibut cheeks were amazing. They made it a great night.
Worst waiter ever . Dirty dishes left for ages , courses in wrong order and stacked at the same time . Ordered 2 medium prime ribs one was well the other boarderline medium well / well and both mostly fat . This was a joke of a dinner . I have never been so disappointed with Simons before . I believe our waiters name was Ryan . Thanks for making date night not wonderful .
Great food, wonderful service! Our server was right on top of things. Had a great time!
The quality of the food did not meet out expectations, as it did 20 years ago.
One our favorites in Anchorage and if you can time the sunset it is truly a memorable experience. All our dishes were well presented and hearty. Our waiter took time to recommend beverage pairings and even set our son up with his favorite, local root beer. The entire staff is helpful, friendly and incredibly professional. We'll be back.
Our date was magical. We love everything about Simon and Seafort's, it was my first time there for a dinner. They are very welcoming and the employees enjoy being there. Upon arrival they adjusted our seats to avoid sitting next to a newborn. Even the baby was happy and made no noises throughout the evening. The waitress, Elisie had an impressive knowledge of the menu. Many would agree the mixed drinks are the best in town. The Calamari was great and we enjoyed the the seafood and sirloin very much. We will come back for sure! For price, its about $100 for two people and totally worth every penny.
Had a wonderful first time experience at Simon’s and Seaforts. Our waiter Steve, was very knowledgeable of the menu. Will definitely come back again for another special occasion.
The service was outstanding, almost over-the-top and theatrically friendly. I was thinking of asking the server to blink twice if she needed help. The food lacked diversity. The menu hasn't seemed to have changed in in over a year. It is understandable to have a shortened menu due to the sheer volume of tables during Valentine's day but there was nothing new on the menu, even the special of Halibut Cheeks has not been refreshed in 6 months. Utterly disappointing, I will hope not to go again.
My prime rib was good a little over cooked for med well and not hot when served . my husband’s sirloin was tough. Menu selection was not a full menu due to holiday. Forced to select from a few items and one dessert. This was unexpected. Service was excellent.
Great service great food. Expensive but it’s to be expected. Was a great place to spend an early Valentine’s Day. Our waiter was exceptionally excellent.
Had not been there in years, my family never had been. Everything was as it had been, very nice experience for all.
Seated quickly. Great views from table. Appetizers and food were great. Service was timely and pleasant.
This is our second visit and like the first one the service, ambience, food and view were great. Tim was our waiter. We will be back!
The food was delicious and fresh. We went the day before Valentines Day for dinner. The lobster tails were sweet and the steak was tender, juicy and delicious. Our service was exceptional.
We have been coming here for over 30 years. The service and ambiance have always been exceptional. Food quality always OK, but sometimes excellent. Recently it has been excellent. What seemed an odd combination of blue cheese sauce and mussels turned out to work very well, almost as good as the previous green curry sauce. The calamari is almost always perfect. I do wish you had not removed my favorite item from the menu, a disarticulated etoufee.
Great venue for family dinner celebration. The Alaskan seafood if’s amazingly well prepared . I would commend the congenial and efficient wait staff. A very satisfied “Local”
Valentine’s Day brunch
Food is good but very overpriced. Only eat here every 4-5 years. Better value and cuisine at other restaurants in Anchorage.
The food was excellent the service was good and the portions were huge. The view of Cook Inlet from our table was awesome.
The duck confit was incredibly salty and surprisingly spicy. The menu did not indicate spice. Also, the server said it would be medium rare however this was not the case. It was well done due to being cooked sous vide.
The bread was stale with a half inch ring that was very hard. Overall the food was well below standards especially for the price.
It feels as if Simon’s has lost a step or two. Sorry to say that.
Honestly they scored overall great. Fun for all and a great date restaruant
We have a birthday/anniversary celebration and our server was really fantastic in helping us celebrate our friend to the nth degree. We appreciated her attention to detail and personal attention. I also updated our Open Table reservation about 45 minutes before we were to arrive to let them know it was a birthday and to please "birthday-fy" our table if possible. It was short notice but I was--and our birthday friend--was absolutely delighted to see it when we were seated. Thank you for making our birthday/anniversary lunch so special.
The food was delicious. The service was great. And the noise level was perfect for us with feisty kids!
If you go, request Kaitlin for your server! She will take good care of you and she’s one of the best servers I’ve ever encountered. Also, the food is delicious! I had the macadamia nut stuffed halabit... you’ve not lived until you’ve tried this dish.
Jasmine was excellent!
As always, the food is very good and the view was spectacular.
Went for a date night after receiving gift cards from my employer. Heard very good things and looked forward to it. First, asked for a window seat and we did get one... Overlooking the street nearby, not the view of Cook Inlet. Second, we watched people who arrived after us not only have their orders taken and food delivered, but finished their meals, paid and left before our orders were delivered. The wait staff and manager did apologize along with adjusting our check so as to reflect one meal on the house. Third, when the food did arrive the main dishes were nice. However the side vegetable, green beans, were nearly raw. Lastly, and my biggest complaint, for whatever reason our table just seemed to fall between the proverbial cracks. If I had been paying for this myself, it would have been worse. As it was however, we kind of laughed and just filed it in the category of "it happens". In a nutshell, I wouldn't pay the prices they are asking for the food or service we received.
