Staying at the Tribute Marriott, my daughter and I ate at the Silver Trumpet the morning after attending a ballet at Segerstrom Hall. The Sunday brunch selection is ala carte, which we prefer over a buffet not being big eaters. My daughter loved the lobster omelet. It was reasonably priced with loads of lobster and included a side of fruit. I had the make your own omelet for $15 which included three items plus fresh fruit. Coffee was amazing.
My daughter and I ate at the Silver Trumpet for dinner pre-ballet on a Saturday evening. We were seated immediately but food came before our drinks. I think they are used to rushed people trying to catch a show. The bacon wrapped dates were the star of the meal. The French onion soup was a little too sweet for me. We both had the beat salad (mine with salmon and my daughter's with shrimp). The salmon was amazing.
The service was excellent. It was our first time
Our waitress was.willinf to walk to theater. The prefix menu is excellent. We had the lamb chops and salmon. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Extremely pleased with everything. The food, servers, and atmosphere were lovely. Totally enjoyed our friends night out!
The restaurant is beautiful. I have eaten here many times before. The food was really mediocre. Everything was hot, but all three of us had the same opinion that there was no flavor in any of the food. We were adding salt, pepper, lemon etc. to everything. Very blah food!
We arrived early and fortunately were seated right away. Service started out slow but once showed up did a super job. A nice meal except a little too noisy.
A lovely spot to enjoy a nice dinner before the show across the street at Segerstrom.
The food was delicious, the service was excellent. This is convenient for pre-theater and you can pre-order your dessert and return after the show to enjoy it.
The restaurant is conveniently located next to the performing arts center. Location. Location. Location. The ambiance is trendy. But after that, the thrill diminishes. The service ok. The waiters work hard and are covering a lot of territory. The food for vegetarians is minimal although the salad was tasty. Basically I would visit again because of the location. Otherwise, this restaurant is nothing special.
The price fixe dinner is wonderful. Also so easy to park and walk to OC Performing Arts. Best restaurant in area for this convenience with upscale dining.
We had a nice big table, nice waitress, good wine Always a pleasure to eat here before we go to our plays. Thank you.
Just loved their choices on their priced fixed dinner options. The rack of lamb was superb, along with the desert choices! I'll be back again soon!
Great choice pre theater. Server kept us on schedule, the Fig Martini was outstanding followed by salad and short ribs. Ample portions and delicious. Short walk to the theater. Would definitely dine here again before the theater - wish we had time to try the key lime dessert!
First time to this restaurant, what a perfect find. Went prior to show at Segerstrum theater.
We chose the 3 course prix fix menu. One of us had rack of lamb, the other salmon. we choose the wine paired menu. Everything was excellent.
Our friendly and experienced waiter, Iud, was a treasure. Timed food delivery perfectly so we could walk across to the theater in plenty of time for the play. He shared we could park in the self parking structure, which we had, but they validate and you can leave your car parked there during the preformance. Nice perk and very convenient.
All in all, a most delightful evening.
With no preplanning, and help from Open Table in restaurant choice, it couldn't have been better. Definitly will be repeating this plan.
We went prior to attending a play. Caroline, our server, made sure we were in and out in a timely manner. She offered wonderful recommendations for dinner. We are looking forward to coming again!
Excellent food with great service! Visited before going to a show and would definitely go back!!!
Came here for breakfast, and was underwhelmed with overall experience. I can see the restaurant capitalizes on the business and theatre crowds, but nothing special. Standard menu and overpriced. Service was sub-par. Disappointing.
Great restaurant if you are going to the theater . Parking once, enjoying dinner, and walking to the theatre !
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The lamb they do here is outstanding. Also their risotto is superb. A creative menu with a lot of options. Service is always very good. You don't expect a restaurant this good in a hotel, but they really excel.
The Restaurant is nice and offers indoor and outdoor seating with a view. The price is pretty good compared to other places their brunch menu is fabulous offering $14 bottomless drinks. I just have to make a remark on the staff, The staff was very unprofessional and seem to hate their life they seem to be antsy and not liking the fact that they were working. we had three different people give us a lot of attitude and seem unhappy with their work.
Overall a wonderful experience with a very modern and elegant feel while still being relaxing. Food was superb and restaurant was extremely convenient to the Performing Arts Center: park and get validated through dinner and theater performance and walk across the street to the PAC.
The service was simply great and it's a lovely restaurant. Although the food was good, I thought it was rather pricey.
Came for Christmas Day dinner with Prix Fix menu. Service was excellent and the food was great. Yule Log served at table side was exceptional.
Our 1st Christmas together as husband and wife. Wanted to take my bride for a nice dinner, where I knew the food was good from previous dinners I've had there.
Was a great choice and had a great dinner.
Christmas day breakfast
Food was delicious but the value was not. Would have been nice to know there was only a fixed price menu when we made the reservation or they called us to confirm the reservation. Fixed price menus are not ideal for large families with smaller children who don't really eat several courses or need that much food.
Wine list prices are outrageous. Room was freezing (the folks behind the desk had space heaters). They give you blankets, but couldn’t actually get the room temp above 60.
Food & service were excellent, It was nice & quiet for our 54th wedding anniversary. The ambiance is rather dated but the overall experience was wonderful.
A great restaurant under any circumstances. We took our family of 10 to dinner after seeing this years production of Scrooge. So convenient, right across the street and with dinner parking is validated. I don't know why everyone seeing a performance doesn't top off the evening with dinner or drinks at the
Silver Trumpet. Food was very good, my lamb was a bit to salty for my taste and I think for most others, but still good to go. Craft cocktail menu is very nice and for beer lovers their is a type for all tastes. Mitchell our server was attentive and on the spot with drinks, bread, food and all. He even pleased all of our non meat eaters and vegans. We originally tried to eat at the restaurant in the Symphony Hall but they stop serving at 6pm. Considering the schedules of the performances not even sure why they have a restaurant on site. So going forward we are Silver Trumpet fans for every family outing and date nights after a performance.
Delicious dinner Sunday night before a Christmas concert at Segerstrom. Service was fantastic. Highly recommend this restaurant and ask for a booth if available. Salmon was the best!
Took my daughter here for brunch before going to see The Nutcracker. It really was the perfect place for a lovely special occasion. The service was outstanding, the food was great and the Bloody Mary’s were excellent :)
The food was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful. The best part though was parking there, eating, getting validation for parking and the walking to the Segerstrom Center for a show. Easy to get to the theatre and easy out at the end of the evening.
We loved the ambiance. The brunch menu on the weekend is much less than the menu online. There was nothing vegan. We chose this restaurant because of the menu. My mom was disappointed with what she ordered. They did take of us. The hamburgers were good.
Writing reviews aren't my cup of tea. Been coming here for 10+ years since when it was the Wyndham due to it's food, bar, & proximity to the theater across the street. However, after going to this restaurant last night, I will not be back, nor will I recommend people frequent this establishment.
Made reservations for a table of 3, as usual, before the symphony. This was 6-9 weeks in advance. The restaurant called the previous day to confirm the reservation, again, as usual. We arrive a little early as we normally do, but we are told that the restaurant has been bought out for the evening for a private event. We had to find a seat in overcrowded bar, sit outside on one of the coldest nights so far this year, or go somewhere else. The wait staff made no excuses; true or not. No apologies were extended. The staff was lacking to the extreme.
If a respectable establishment confirms a reservation, one expects the establishment to keep their end of the reservations. It is simple courtesy in our civilized world. As the Hong Kong based owners of this hotel keep spending millions trying to make this hotel a destination, they have lost focus on the staffing & their training. They have lost sight of what makes a good hotel... Or maybe they still do not knew.
Stay away from this establishment.
We had a reservation made some tme ago for this past Saturday evening at 5:30pm, 12/14. The restaurant had called the afternoon before to confirm the reservation. Furthermore, I called the restaurant on the day of our reservation around 2pm to let them know that two in our party were sick and could not make it reducing the amount of people that would be attending. When we arrived on time for our reservation we were told that the restaurant was reserved for a private party. We could either sit on the outside patio or in the bar. Since it was cold outside we chose the bar. It was very loud in the bar. I complained to the hostess whose only response was that she would let management know that I was not happy. I thought this was a "fine dining" restaurant. I will not be coming back here and certainly cannot recommend anyone else go here.
This restaurant was like a glorified low-end hotel experience. Lights were very bright, fake plants. I would not recommend it for a nice dinner.
Kitchen runs slow here quite a bit. If you’re in a time crunch due to a show or meeting, you should skip this restaurant.
The location near the Music Center is perfect. The food and ambiance is great, as well as the service.
Amazing food, awesome service, seating was not as cozy as we would have wanted
Evening out to the symphony.
