Silver Trumpet Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
Very chic place. It wasn’t as busy as I thought it should be but the location is not visible. My friends I took Drive that area all the time but not that street and they thought it was just a hotel. It would be nice to have such a cool place near the water or more exposure.
The food was excellent. I had the rack of lamb, very generous amount and delicious this was the price fixe and everything prepared su7perbly. My husband had the filet mignon and it was one of the best he ever tasted. cooked to perfection and fork tender. I would certainly go back for dinner. It was a drive from Riverside but was going to Segerstroms following dinner,It was a perfect night!
Staff was friendly. Server was attentive. Crab cakes and soup were very good. Don’t know the reason but both of our salads were served undressed. Chef over cooked one of the filets when both were to be broiled the same. The lobster was over cooked and tough. Service was slow even though the dining room was not full. This is the second time we have dined here and the first experience was similar. I do not believe that I will give them a 3rd chance.
Had an amazing time with a group of friends to celebrate Christmas .The place look sooo festive ,staff was right on point beginning with the hostess and ending with the GM Mario . Very professional and knowledgeable servers amazing food and delicious cocktails .Made us feel very welcomed
We had a 4 p.m. confirmed reservation before our theatre performance which started at 5:30 p.m., and we actually arrived 15 minutes early for our dinner reservation. It took ONE hour to take our order when there were only 3 filled tables in a large restaurant! The service was terrible except for the person who filled our water every 10 minutes. We had to rush through dinner in order to arrive to our theatre reservation. It is unfortunate as the ambiance and location are excellent; however, the service completely ruined the experience. I also do not appreciate having to be forced to recommend this restaurant when none of the choices apply. You need to add "Do NOT recommend" and define selections as to why to improve the problems.
From start to finish consistently bad service. The server was very inattentive. The whole feel of the restaurant was negative. Many of the people sitting around us were not being served and ignored. The food was bland and unexciting. In general a poorly run restaurant with terrible food.
We visit prior to the Performing Arts once or twice a month.....Waiters are great, we get our wine and place our order........then wait & wait for our meal. The last twice the waiter had to go to the kitchen several times. this was for fish dishes that take no more than 5 min......so we got our meal ten minutes before we had to leave for the show.
The Kitchen needs more staff for sure !!
The staff are very nice, parking is included for the show. Please get more help in the kitchen.
What a great place to get together with my friends .The place is decorated for holidays and is just magic .Everyone is smiling here and just makes you feel very welcomed .Delicious cocktails at the Bar ,amazing wine list and well prepared food .Cant wait to go back
Thanksgiving buffet was delicious, fresh and organic. Patio dining overlooks lake but currently there is construction next door so not the best view. One of the chefs visited our table to check on us—very nice. Waiter was friendly but not as attentive as I’d like, given the price paid. For example, no cream provided when coffee brought to the table and had to wait quite a while for him to appear again to ask for it. Was not that busy then, so not sure why better service not provided. But overall, very friendly and helpful wait staff.
Setting: beautiful. Parking/location: easy and convenient. It was a very quiet and not crowded Sunday brunch which made it easy to talk and catch up. My friends and I had a few issues though. One of our side orders did not arrive so we reminded our waiter. No apology. It came and was dropped off by someone else. When we received our check, we were charged twice for that order. No apology. Things happen and I understand but when we are the only diners at the restaurant why can’t you do a good job? It wasn’t busy at all! We saw gratuity was already added on our check... maybe our waiter didn’t try hard because they knew they were going to get a good tip regardless. Pathetic.
This is a great place to eat when you go to a show at the performing arts center. They have wonderful food and wine and great service, as well as a prix fixe menu which is a great value. The servers are excellent and they were able to accommodate my change requests (food allergies and preferences). I also got a free birthday dessert which was really good (toffee cake).
They create a very welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be back!
Caesar Salad was made with older lettuce. Lamb chops so tough barely edible. In the past the food had been fairly good , but this last occasion was just ok. Great location for theater so we will try again. I hope the chef has better food suppliers the next time.
What an amazing night ,started in the Bar with some amazing cocktails ,one served in a copper pineapple mug ,very impressive . Moved to the dining area and had the best service in Orange County .The GM/Wine Director recommended some delicious wines ,we liked the fact that he never pushed expensive wines like most of the restaurants do .Very knowledgeable staff and very attentive .Short rib was melting in your mouth and very flavorful ,our guests Lamb and NY strip steak were done to perfection .Great experience cant wait to go back with our friends.
Decent food, wonderful server, but it wound up being a bit expensive for a meal that was good enough, but not particularly memorable. We went to see a play at South Coast Rep, so it was extremely convenient. They validate parking, so you don't have to pay to park at the show.
Unfortunately the restaurant was not up to it's usual level of excellence. Seat at a table for 6 our group of four found it difficult to talk across the table. The food was not prepared to order and the service was slow supposed due to a problem in the hotel. We had to skip dessert to make our concert and arrived as they were giving the two minute warning. The manager did comp our meals only after I seriously complained.
