Good food, great service!
Manager was your responsible by not coming to the table after return of two bottles of wine. The food came out cold and the service was mediocre
I hate to have a somewhat negative review, but it is. I got the flat iron steak cooked to medium rare. There were portions that were absolutely raw, and most of it was very difficult to cut into. Very chewy and just an all-around poor steak. The carrots that came with both of our dishes were tough and not very flavorful. Our server, Lee, was outstanding. I wish I could recommend Silver Trumpet to a friend, but given the price and weak quality, I will not be doing so.
The food is pretty good and the drinks are great, but there is no attention to detail. Even though everyone was very nice, It seems like the manager does not understand how to manage and train the staff to provide the level of service you would expect from a nice restaurant. From dirty menus to stains on the table, it makes you wonder if the kitchen is clean. With a few small changes this place could be great, but I can’t say I’d be back anytime soon.
Excellent brunch and great service!
Unusual seating arrangement. We were first going to be seated next to a mom and baby, who were very close to us and felt awkward. Then decided a table further in. Not really a restaurant but for people who wanted a casual drink.
The menu very limited for lunch. Waitress was going to give us our bill and didn't ask if we would like anything else. We ask for a dessert menu. The dessert we choose was Pear Tart (like a bread pudding) with salted caramel ice cream. Ice cream serving was smaller than a ping pong ball. We love the location since we were going to a show at the Sergerstrom Theater and was able to make the short walk over. We will try again with the dinner menu . . . the jury is still out for a verdict.
Ask for Nora...she is an excellent server!!
I had never been t the Silver Trumpet before and will definitely return. I had an absolutely fabulous time, the food was awesome and nobody kicked us out. We were there for a very long time celebrating. It was an amazing evening.
Nice place to eat, park (validated!) and walk over to see a play.
Service is excellent. Food had smart and creative flavor balance.
Awesome service and food!! The ambience was spectacular. Super cool, swanky vibe.
Great food and perfect location close to Segerstrom!!! Highly recommend it. Great experience every time I have gone
Great all around experience. Took business colleagues there. Was perfect. James did a great job..
Been here on many occasions, never disappoints. The lamb is superb, and the risotto is perfect. For dinner their prix fix menu is a really good deal. We were here to celebrate a birthday and it was just lovely. Can't wait to return!
Beautiful location and food is decent, but service needs to massively improve.
The food was very good. The bread was very good. We got a tuna appetizer that was tasty. I had the Cobb salad and my husband had the salmon and both were enjoyable. The service was attentive and pleasant.
Our waiter James was outstanding. I would rate his service as a 10 out of 10.
Service was outstanding - not busy when there. Parking convenient.
Our experience in the bar prior to eating was outstanding, especially with our server - Brandi. The disappointment came with both my scallops and my husband's fish as both were too salty on the outside. The big problem was with the coffee which was the color of weak tea and tasted like water. Our server brought us each a shot of expresso to fix our coffee and it did.
Highly recommended! We three ate wonderful cuisine, drank fine wines/cocktail and loved the ambience!
Sunday brunch.... bottomless mimosas in a beautiful setting. Food was delightful.
Excellent staff, ambiance and food.
Excellent variety on the menu. Prompt and courteous service. Ideal before events at the Performing Arts Center.
Held a large business dinner here. It’s a cool spot with a stylish interior. Everyone agreed the food was delicious. The chai latte cocktail was a particular highlight.
We had dinner before our Kenny G concert across the way. The restaurant has a cool contemporary vibe. The service is good but not great. Two of us had Chilean Seabass. It was fresh but very bland. I had a lemon slice with my water, so instead squeezed it over my fish & added salt & pepper. That helped! I’m surprised the chef didn’t season or do anything special with a nice fresh fish.
Food was over cooked. Salmon burnt. Service slow. Ambience in back room poor.
We visited the restaurant for dinner before our show at Segerstrom. We loved the decor, the food, the service. Extensive wine list however limited vegetarian and vegan options.
Great for date night.
We went there for Valentine’s Day dinner.
Made reservations and got there early & got seated immediately! Since it was Valentine’s Day they had a special 4 course meal. Everyone and Everything was 5 stars! Salad thru the dessert delicious!!! We celebrated Our 20th wedding anniversary and Valentine’s Day and had a meal that we will always remember.
Food was flavor less. They had a prix fixe menu for Valentines Day
Enjoyed our meal but did not know there was a pre fixed menu that evening. Probably would have picked a different restaurant.
We visited Silver Trumpet before a performance at the Segerstrom PAC, and were both pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, service and ambience. While we didn't visit the bar area, it looked like a very nice spot to meet for a drink with friends. We will definitely return and will recommend to friends.
The menu looked great. The 3 course meal was a good value. The soup and the bacon wrapped dates were wonderful. The main course salmon and lamb were a little over done and the salmon plate had a odd flavor with the Chards.
Dessert was fantastic! The service was a little off. Waitress was very nice, but would disappear for long periods of time. I think she had too many tables. Had to flag her down a few times, which I hate having to do.
OUR SERVER NOOR WAS GREAT! WINE IS EXPENSIVE, FOOD GOOD.
The service was very slow in general. It took half an hour for water, and our server barely noticed us. The food was alright.
It’s a lovely restaurant but brunch was just ok. We will look for another pre theatre restaurant
I celebrated my husband’s birthday and the manager Mark and his whole team were absolutely amazing!!! They helped with all our needs, made sure all 24 guests were taken care of and assisted me with the whole surprise! My Husband was extremely happy with everything and every guest was greatly satisfied with the food and the service they got! I absolutely recommend to come to this place, it’s the best brunch spot in OC for sure! Not sure if the staff will see this review but want to take the time to say one more time THANK YOU to All!!!! ❤️🥳
First pre-theater dinner... pleasantly surprised with delightfully delicious cuisine...we had all appetizers so we could taste as much as possible... we raved so much, our lovely server must have told Chef Hector Zamora who came to our table so we could hive him his due applause..I will never have rack of lamb anywhere else... we had lamb chop lollipops, calamari w/incredibly tasting sauce , and Brussel sprouts to die for..yummy arugula salad... thank you WE WILL BE BACK!
The lamb was very good, however the scallops were very skimpy.
There were3 medium scallops preced at 41.00. Not a good value
The restaurant was very cold where we sat. Although we asked, it never warmed up.
Lastly, our table was changed after we were seated. The ”cold” table was where we were moved. Noone ever sat at the table while we were there even when we were told that there was another party coming.
Didi (sp?) was a phenomenal server.
