Wonderful meal. I had the best lamb dish I have ever tasted.
Always an enjoyable meal. Fresh and well prepared. Friendly atmosphere with well informed and capable staff. Have never had a bad experience there.
We celebrated a birthday with friends. All four of us enjoyed the tri tip which was tender and delicious. Our server was delightful too.
Excellent service and food options. Just thought the meal & beverages were priced a little high.
We were late for our reservation, but they were gracious and accommodating. The restaurant was about two thirds full and staffed by only the chef, the dishwasher, a busboy/server and a bartender. (The chef and bartender are the owners.) They handled everything with aplomb and in a timely way. Our drinks arrived cold and delicious and the bartender took the time to recommend wine for our dinners and joke about her dogs. Our dinners were served by a jester of a "busboy." He had a great, cheerful attitude and helped make our anniversary dinner a treat. And a delicious dinner it was! Please, please have the gorgonzola hazelnut toast (or whatever they call it.) It is to die for and I'd go back just for that.
Silver Grille is a favorite. Been there 4 times now and each time it gets better and better. Already recommend this place to everyone who enjoys a high quality dinner in every sense of the statement: food, service, ambiance.
It was our anniversary and we were looking for a peaceful and delicious dining experience. The Silver Grille was both!
Food was great as always. Service was excellent. Highly recommend.
Lovely everything. The food is delicious and it’s a nice quiet spot for a date or conversation. Doris was a fabulous server and made perfect recommendations.
Acceptable on all fronts, albeit a slightly limited menu. We would have been just as happy at the lively wine bar and bistro that’s kitty corner out the front door...where we had a glass of wine later that evening. Prices here run a wee bit high given other competing price points. Ravioli and beef entrees were delicious. The only miss was a rhubarb dessert which was unlike any tart I’ve had previously.
Food is outstanding, very creative and beautiful presentation.
Been there many times. It is my "go to" for special occasion choice.
We left Chef Nizlek's lovely restaurant still savoring yet another scrumptious meal. If you get the chance to try his Pork Marsala , you're in for a treat – thinly sliced pork loin strips pounded into tender cutlets, slightly seared and served with a rich Marsala Mushroom sauce.
The generous portions were accompanied by a dollop of mashed potatoes and a medley of perfectly prepared, farm fresh vegetables.
The service was excellent and the local Willamette Wine suggested by our hostess paired superbly with the meal.
The only disappointment was that they had run out of the Rhubarb Cobbler! Instead, we thoroughly enjoyed the rich, chocolate hazelnut cake.
The charcuterie/antipasta plate is beyond compare and the food, including dessert and service was spot on. We had a lovely graduation dinner!
Our second trip to the Silver Grille and the chef and staff did not disappoint! We had the pork and beef dishes and both were superb -- as was the yummy mushroom soup and stupendous raspberry profiteroles. We planned our Oregon trip just so we could have dinner there.
Had dinner here with my sister’s for a recent weekend getaway. Two of our meals were wonderful right from the start, a third meal was not good at all but was quickly replaced once we let our server know there was an issue. The replacement dinner was wonderful. Staff was very apologetic.
My absolute favorite restaurant in oregon! Always excited to go back!
Super food! Friendly service! Excellent quality for reasonable prices
One of the best choices for fine dining in the Willamette Valley. It is farm to table from a Best of Valley kitchen and staff.
The lamb dish was disappointing. I got noodles instead of gnocci. It kindof tasted like chef boyardee. I was expecting a piece of lamb I guess.
The food here used to be wonderful and it was always a great experience. This time I think I could’ve gotten better at Subway. A very expensive disappointment. Really just so-so
A lovely, quiet, elegant restaurant. Excellent service and delicious entrees. The desserts were good but not great. A quality dining experience like this is hard to find outside of Portland. We will definitely return.
I would recommend the Silver Grille unreservedly! I continue to believe this restaurant is the best in the entire Greater Salem Area. A true Farm to Table restaurant where Chef Jeff translates that freshness into exquisite examples of Food as Favor Art. Not to be missed!
The bruschetta was really good. The tri-tip was tough and my wife was very disappointed. The meat balls were average though the sauce was quite good. The portifritos (?) for desert were superb. In all, I thought the serving sizes small. The brushetta could come in a 4 piece size for 2 people at a cheaper price.
Our dinner and service was awesome. Atmosphere was super everyone was very helpful.
Never disappointing, we enjoyed another great meal at the Silver Grille
Very nice ambiance in this upscale small place. Excellent service, all the food was very good, prices on the high end but worth it for the experience. Really appreciate that nothing is rushed at this establishment which is very, very nice!
Best restaurant in the Greater Salem Area. Outstanding Farm to Table food, prepared wonderfully!
Silver grille is one of our favorite places! The menu changes a lot so that really makes it fun! Fresh, local ingredients, absolutely awesome restarurant!
Our first dining experience at the Silver Grille was outstanding. On arrival, we were quickly seated in their cozy dining room. The service was excellent - friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Our food was delicious - we ordered the mushroom soup, Naughty Librarian Salad (who could resist that name?), tri-tip, and lamb ragout. The ambience was lovely - quiet, intimate, and light enough to read the menu, but dark enough to feel cozy. We definitely will be back.
Nice find, would recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates good and attentive service and delicious food!
A favorite restaurant of ours to go to for a great meal when we're visiting our farm in Silverton.
Impeccable service. Classy atmosphere quiet with the ability to be able to have great conversations with friends uninterrupted. Phenomenal drinks great wine selection. Food that will tantalize your palate. Truly an exceptional gem. And quite a surprise for such a small little town like Silverton.
There isn't a restaurant in Eugene or close-by surrounding areas that has fine cuisine like Silver Grille. I work up in Salem every couple of months and always dine here, but now I find myself looking for excuses to dine here (and people to introduce to Silver Grille) . Excellent chef and wonderful wife team.
This is our first time at the Silver Grille and the food was excellent along with great staff. The pricing was as expected for a first class restaurant.
Although possibly considered one of the better restaurants in the area but I would not return. The food was average but the service was very poor and inattentive. My food server disappeared leaving my wife and I waiting for extended periods of time while another server spent extensive time chatting with a group at the next table in a loud irritating voice. It certainly did not create a pleasant, intimate dinner experience.
So grateful to have this gem in SIlverton.
Food was wonderful. Service was outstanding. We will be back
Finished a vigorous hike at nearby Silver Falls State Park. Drive 15 miles to Silverton for a late lunch or early dinner. Doors opened and we were greeted right away by hostess. Service attended our table immediately for water offer of beverages, and dinner specials were also printed and discussed.
First course charcuterie was one of the best I’ve ever had. Meats cheeses and pickled veggies were delicious and artfully presented. I enjoyed the parsnip soup, and my partner had the grilled/charred Caesar salad. She did share a few delicious bites of the salad with me. Then onto main course: she had melt in your mouth lamb, and I tried the “cuts the butter” tri-tip. Both tender and flavorful. We paired our entrees with glasses of local Pudding River Pinot: delicious modest mouthful of flavors (not overly robust).
We finished this feast with creme brûlée and apple strudel. The strudel used fillo dough which made for very enjoyable flaky texture, and minimized the sugary sweet compote so you enjoyed the toned down natural sweetness of the apples.
How much did we enjoy our meals and the ambiance? I posted the name of this gem on my FB page so friends can find it as well.
