Came here with a few out of town friends. All of us are "Special needs" dieters...Vegan, gluten free, you know the type. This place had enough items on the menu for each of us and it was good. My friends got the avocado and salmon toast, which looked beautiful. After they added salt and lemon juice on it, they said it tasted good.
Great Food. We have gone many times, this particular time we had horrible service. The waitress might also have been the bar tender. Worst in a while.
I wouldn't recommend. the server we had was downright rude. It was almost as if he was bothered to be serving us. He rarely came by and when he did it was like he had merely a second to hear what we had to say. The food was also only ok....I would try someplace else.
I’ve been to this restaurant before and it never disappoints. The food is very good, the prices are reasonable and, especially this time, the service was phenomenal. Nothing fancy, but highly recommend.
We had a fantastic time! Great food, great atmosphere!
Food was good. Service was good. Table was good. Price was good.
Our waiter was split between outside and inside. He was stretched his abilities and we did not get the regular attention that I have had a Silver.
My shrimp and grits dinner was absolutely delicious! My daughter ordered a salmon meal which was ok. She compared it to a dish I make at home and Silver's salmon didn't measure up! Her pear drink was delicious. The wait for our drinks and our meal and our dessert was so long. It took a while for the server to come to our table. When we ordered, I mentioned to the server we had to get to a show. About 15 minutes after we ordered our drinks and our meal (we ordered both at the same time since we were on a time table), the server apologized about the drinks not arriving and said the bar was backed up. My daughter's drink arrived. Then our meals arrived. I flagged down another server and asked about my glass of wine. . .that arrived a little while later. After we finished our meal and our plates were cleared. , the server asked if we wanted to see a dessert menu. Timing wise, we still had time for dessert. We ordered a pistachio mousse and I mentioned we had to get to a production and could she also bring the bill with the dessert. Again, waited and waited and waited 15 minutes(?) for it to be served. My food was delicious. Silver needs to work with its staff on basic efficiencies and maybe hire another bar tender to keep up with a Saturday night crowd! It would have been nice for Silver to comp something on our bill given the delays we experienced.
The food is always good and the kids love the milkshakes. It seems to always be busy so you might not see your waiter/waitress to often.
Food was not great. I had the crabcakes which were not very good. My fries sere cold when my food was delivered. My daughter had a burger which was ok. We had the same experience several times before. Food is marginal at best, service is not great, and very expensive considering what you get. We wont go back.
Great from the time we walked in until the time we left. Great place. Great service. Great food.
Great for visitors from LA
Close to LANDMMARK BETHESDA movie.
The Buffalo Chorizo Huevos Rancheros were amazing!
One of the best value restaurants in Bethesda assuming you don't like plastic utensils and paper napkins. There is a a variety of food to choose, the chef didn't go overboard which is reflected in the overall quality of the food. Looking forward to trying the burger or eggs Benedict next time. If you order liquor neat or on the rocks don't be surprised when it arrives in a small cat bowl.
Silver is a Bethesda gem that has become my favorite brunch locale, especially when I have visiting guests in town.
Food is nothing special here but they have options for all sorts of eaters and serve generous portions. As usual, the service was very slow. Good for groups as they have lots of space.
Good lunch on a tight schedule. Sat outside which was quieter than inside and comfortable, too.
Wonderful food great way to celebrate a birthday!
We were seated outside as we had to arrive an hour early for our reservation and the dining room was full, completely understandable. Service was very prompt and accommodating as well as super friendly. Our Brüssel sprout spatiier was amazing and pickled fried chicken Mac and cheese was spectacular. Will absolutely visit again.
Lots of choices on the menu which is somewhat similar to the Silver Diner menu. Although there are lots of vegetarian options my friend and I both chose meat dishes. I had a gouda burger and he had meatloaf. We both enjoyed the meal. The lemon tartlet for dessert was particularly good.
Took great nephew for birthday brunch. He loved it. They provided cake a lamode as a great surprise. Service was excellent. All enjoyed.
Tatiana was our server and was terrific. Friendly and helpful.
This restaurant always pleases. Food is varied and delicious, portions are large, and service is excellent.
Went for Sunday lunch/brunch with a friend to catch up. Noise level is a bit high for engaged conversation but we persevered, fortunately the parties on either side of us were not loud. Service was mediocre, not terrible. Waiter did not come back to see if everything was okay and had to get his attention to bring the check. He was busy b/c the restaurant was full, but I don't see how you can ignore a customer and not ask how everything is or whether the customer needs something else. All that being said, the food is good there and and there are many cuisine varieties for vegetarians, vegans, and those needing gluten free meals.
Great place to eat and have a good time with friends
Silver is my favorite spot for eating breakfast in Bethesda. Good food, service, and atmosphere. I always order the barnyard breakfast.
The bruschetta appetizer and salmon dinner were excellent.
Went for a Saturday afternoon brunch. Had reservations and we were seated immediately. Brunch menu had nice variety and food was tasty.
Ambience on the loud side--not many sound dampening materials and enough young children to amp up the decibels a tad much.
Nice after theater restaurant bar, they close later that anyone else in Bethesda.
Chicken wings are excellent and good selection of wine.
Ate outside on the terrace, so noise was minimal. Excellent meal of hanger steak and fries. Great service from Mohammed. We were super happy with our evening.
We sat outside and it was wonderful. There wasn't a lot of noise from the street as we had expected.
Excellent service, nice place. Very good Bloody Mary (different in a good way). Food was good - hard to mess up brunch. Nothing particularly interesting on the menu but what was there was good.
Never enough waitstaff on the patio
The food was delicious and interesting. We enjoyed our meal.
Absolutely delicious, flavorful food. Particularly enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer. Chocolate cake for dessert was forgettable.
Drinks and food were excellent and reasonably priced. The menu has a wide selection with some very unique items that are quite tasty. The wait staff is friendly and very accommodating.
I have been to Silver a few times for lunch and the food is always good. They have several wonderful salads to choose from as well as other great meals. I've tried quite a few different meals and never been disappointed. This time I tried the Bison Huevos Rancheros. They were tasty and quite filling. Everything was cooked perfectly.
Our waitress was fantastic, but the food and drink were all very slow in coming . The food was excellently prepared and very delicious.
A friend was in town so myself, my friend, and my partner went to Silver in Bethesda for Sunday brunch. While the menu is only one page there are a deceivingly large amount of options! Everyone was very happy with their food and drinks. It was a bit loud, but the place was packed. We sat inside, but they do have outdoor seating you can bring your dog to. I was very happy with Silver and will likely dine again in the future.
Meal and service were very good. We sat outside so it was relatively quiet and easy to have a conversation. Not sure that would have been the case inside.
