Great service and good food. Really a fun place
Great location for quiet business lunches especially if you have a booth. Healthy delicious food options. Korean tofu bowl is terrific.
A solid add to the Bethesda scene, professional staff and some very good food. This could be a great regular lunch date location. Nice variety on menu, both value priced lunches and good healthy options too.
Loud environment but solid brunch option in downtown Bethesda. Enjoyed the Bison Huevos Rancheros.
Silver is always great, good food at a decent price point and usually very good service.
A slightly more upscale version of Silver Diner. Great food, a bit hectic inside as I've found most Silver Diner's that is a symptom of them being so popular. No real complains about that though, just something to be aware of. Will definitely be going again.
Silver was good. I can't say the food was great, but I definitely enjoyed the time there. The ambiance is nice, the service was great and our waiter was very friendly. I'd recommend it!
Food was very good as was the service. Interesting menu selections and a large amount of gluten free options. Will be adding to the rotation. Only negative was we came here for New Years and they were already out of the rosé champagne even though it was still very early in the evening.
The brunch is excellent. Silver is very responsive to requests such as no salt or egg whites. Top notch service. The noise level is relatively high but adds to the energetic vibe.
Silver is one of my daughter’s favorite places in Bethesda. So, we decided to take the whole family and a guest for her birthday dinner. 5 adults. The Bad: The service, kitchen, bar had several mix ups with our order: made the wrong chicken dish than what she ordered, brought the beer 2 times early. The “Raised by Wolves Lager” is mis-advertised. It is not a lager. It’s very much a very ‘hoppy IPA’. Yuck. Not what he wanted. He should have sent it back. The beer was requested to be served with dinner, as we were already enjoying cocktails, but different staff kept bringing it to the table. Finally, he relented and just had them leave on the table. The dessert coffee drink never arrived at all (which should have arrived with the other desserts). So we cancelled that drink order as we took our last bites of pie. When our desserts arrived, our silverwear from dinner had already been cleared and it took 2 requests to get new. And, then our request was filled 2 times. I did notice that the dish with the Korean tofu my son ordered did not get all eaten. I couldn’t ask across the table, but I did observe my daughter’s pickle chicken sandwich arrived, something was not quite right with the buns and she ended up having to eat it with a fork and knife. Good: We made reservations for a Sunday night at 6pm. With a phone call, the hostess was able to adjust our reservation by 30 with no issues. Hamburgers were a hit. The fries are always great. My salmon sliders were quite good. The berry dessert pie was fabulous! The pre-dinner cocktail of the “Mulled-Hatten” was excellent. The birthday girl was hopeful you all had some sort of dairy free shake or ice cream option. So, with your vegetarian and vegan offereings, I would like to suggest that the kitchen or bar could fashion some sort of frozen dairy-free shake or dessert. So much is happening with Soy, Almond and Coconut milks in the stores, that would think Silver could be creative. 3 stars out of 5 for this dinner.
We were eighteen of us in Washington area for the Holidays from different states & we decided to get together for Sunday Brunch at Silver . We were all happy with the food & the service . Our waiter was wonderful & professional in hospitality. Thank you
We made a reservation but when we arrived they tried to seat us at the bar near the door which was quite cold. We wanted to enjoy a meal at a table which is what we thought we would get by making a reservation. I explained this to the hostess who assured us she would find us a table. She completely forgot us. I went to her after waiting 30 minutes and she admitted that she had forgotten us. She asked us to wait a few more minutes and then took us to a table. But another hostess sat a couple at our table right before we reached the table. And now our seats at the bar were taken. The service at the bar was slow to non existent due to the large crowd and the restaurant is very noisy. Would not go back.
We enjoyed a family dinner at Silver. We enjoyed all the food and the service was fabulous.
I'm not bashing it too bad but they are trying to hard. First our server spilled our drinks all over the table but that was not a big deal. My chicken sandwich was greasy and the bin fell too pieces, my dad's omelette dish came out cold, mom's hummus looked good it was small but she didn't mind. Friends tomato soup looked really goid, girlfriend baha burger (meatless patty) was also cold. Food is not great, overpriced, they are trying to be too fancy.
Food was great. Good value for money for Breakfast. We were a group of 7 and everyone found something to enjoy including the picky eaters.
Pleasant servers. Will visit again when visiting the area.
Perfect setting for friends gathering to catch up over excellent food and great ambiance
This is an upscale restaurant in casual surroundings. My wife loved her salmon salad, and I loved the bison meatloaf. Yum!
Food was cold - Silver has a great menu but I’m finding the execution to be entirely lacking lately.
Great service catering to different dietary needs and requests from the kitchen. Nice to know you can bring your own wine and pay a corkage fee— very happy with our meal and special service. We were not rushed and thoroughly enjoyed the meal, although it got pretty noisy when the restaurant was filled. Lively and fun atmosphere!
Very crowded and noisy for Sunday Brunch but we were not rushed and things quieted down by the end of our visit
Great service! Glad we open tabled a reservation!
From the friendly hostess to the server, the staff was great. Food was excellent! Despite the pouring rain, it was a great visit. Thanks!
Evening meal - the noise level was too much - no conversation was easy.
The place was jammed - so staff were almost overwhelmed. Won't go again
at night/ Great brunch spot still.
Place has great potential. Had the fried chicken & Macaroni. Chicken clearly was not cooked to order and thus needed more temperature.
It was just generic and nothing special. The whole "french bistro" feel and look they're going for may work for some people who haven't been to a nicer restaurant where they actually do this successfully (eg, Le Diplomate or even something like Ted's Bulletin which is very diner-feeling with delicious food and great service), but this just felt like an overpriced, middle of the road chain restaurant. The crabcakes were good and our server was super attentive and nice, so I would give them positive feedback on service. But overall the atmosphere was was just kind of blah. It was like they have tried to be upscale but it was definitely not.
Server Jose was fantastic. Very accommodating to substitute - we don’t eat potatoes, so cauliflower mash it was.
Chicken wings in the chimichurri sauce were great,
The ahi tuna- yum, cod with lemon sauce delicious, burgers great! All around good and a lot of selection. Love that it is on the healthier side.
Healthy recreation of traditional foods. Delicious.
Lots of care and...from reception to kitchen to service...even when the house is full!
Fabulous place for breakfast, and lunch, and afternoon happy hour!
Delightful quick bite before the movies. Had had some dentistry so I only had chowder. It was full of multiple flavors and a great little kick. My friend had a salad with a grain that was so good she was racing to finish every bite before hurrying to the film. Wine list reasonable by the glass choices appropriately priced. Service as always involved personable but not intrusive waiters (Sophie et al). They happily accommodated our rushed schedule. If you are going to the movies or have gone (Bethesda Row), keep your ticket stubs. Silver will give you a lovely free dessert for each ticket stub. Thank you.
Always seem to get a decent meal with great service. Can't complain... it has been a favorite lunch spot. Give it a try!
There are some things on Silver's menu that I just love! Their boozy milkshakes are amazing, and the pistachio mousse on their dessert menu is divine. I also love the veggie huevos rancheros; I order them almost every time I go!
Fourth time and still very satisfied. Will return- great spectrum of food and prices - not cheap but not $$ either. Clearly the staff are working towards making something special here. They have a clear view of what they want to do- "upscale" diner with foody flair- at least that is what I pick up. I think they are achieving this. I like this place, have taken business dinners here and my guests were satisfied.
Short block from Bethesda Row Theater with public parking in building right next to Silver. Easy quick bite before or after movies. Ample portions so if they offer a half portion consider it. Wonderful Cobb Salad and Hanger Steak with fries. If you have your movie ticket stubs, you get a free dessert to either consume there or take with you. Service delightful and quick.
Clam corn chowder was good. Hanger steak was tasteless even with the sauce and tough. Fries very very good. Greens were over dressed.
This place was awesome! Great food! Great service!
Had a celebratory brunch with the family at Silver. We all enjoyed our food and would like to go back to try out some other things on the menu.
Ist visit and the food was good. A variety of options on the menu. Fast and Friendly service. A go back place for me.
Dependable and good value for the money. Comfort food. God service
Very pleasant server and her table was nice. The food was what I considered average at that price point not bad but nothing special
