An off-day for Silver. Husband ordered plain hamburger -- came loaded with orange mayonnaise spread. Coffee tasted very wrong-undrinkable. Plates didn't appear really clean. Waitress got order wrong twice. Not up to usual standards.
The service was extremely slow and my burger was not cooked as requested. Not up to it’s usual level.
Consistently good food at a good value. Eat there a lot. Nice sit down area; like your outdoor area too.
You should provide steak knives with the avocado toast. We had trouble cutting our portions -- then had to wait to flag down a waiter to bring us steak knives.
The avocado toast was delicious.
The miso glazed salmon bowl was very, very good. The service was pretty non-existent. The restaurant was freezing cold. My entire family ate in their coats and no one ever asked us why.
My reservation was not honored. The menu was very limited. Portions were very small. Noise level too high. I requested my hamburger to be well done and it was raw.
Great food and wonderful sitting outside on the sidewalk in downtown Bethesda.
The food and service were very good.
I love their food. And their pistachio mousse dessert is currently my very favorite.
We were there for my husbands's birthday and dined on the outdoor patio. Each table had a domed heater and we were quite comfortable despite temps in the low 40s'. It took a few minutes before we were approached by a waiter, but once that happened the service and food were outstanding! My steak with peppercorn sauce was done to perfection and was one of the best I've had since we lived in France. The patio atmosphere was a bit picnicky, and next to a quiet road, but we were happy to be able to sit outside in November. Eeryone who came out to check on us was extremely helpful and kind. Lovely waiter and bus people, as well as the manager who came out to say hello. We will definitely return! The food was nicely presented and very good quality.
Food was well prepared and flavorful. Service was spotty. Tables were so close that we had some trouble holding our own conversation due to interference from the neighboring tables. Will definitely return for the cooking and select a less busy time to enhance the experience.
The beer was good and the ice water was cold. Otherwise, the burger and the short ribs were mediocre at best. First and last visit.
We sat outside and even though it was very chilly we were comfortable because the heaters were on and there was an awning.
The waiter was excellent and fast!
The new branzino dinner was fantastic as was the vegan roasted tomato bowl.
Can't wait to go back.
Good. An informal place to share friends. Good food not expensive.
Silver is always very good. This was our first time for brunch, and we enjoyed it. Our server was very busy, and she provided excellent service in spite of the many demands on her.
We have always enjoyed our meals at Silver and the good service. We highly recommend it.
We eat at Silver in Bethesda family frequently and very much like the food. However, we have noticed that the staff doesn't seem to be particularly well trained. For example, food is often delivered to the table without any accompanying silverware that you then have to wait for in order to eat your food. Also, on occasion, the bar seems incredibly slow to fill drink orders.
Solid diner food; dependable. Hardly gourmet but that's ok. Good service, Very reliable.
Breakfast was fine, though underwhelming. It’s a place with what I call an ego menu. Too many choices, odd categories, I guess they mean to draw pescatarians and vegans and anti Glutenites. Good for them. Just not for me.
Excellent food and great outdoor seating with heaters.
Try the wings!!! Amazing. We enjoyed the tuna poke bowl, the french toast (for dinner - yum!), and two rib dishes. We had a great meal and a great time.
We took an outside table and they had heaters to keep people warm if they wanted, which was great. They are clearly short on servers but our server did a great job despite the number of tables he was covering. Understandably, it was difficult to get coffee refilled but he did the best he could and we certainly didn't feel rushed!!! Food was fine and served pretty promptly. We will continue to support Silver because it has made such a great effort during the pandemic to serve its customers safely.
All I can say is that Silver continues its tradition as being very reliable. Reliable in that it is mediocre. Never bad, never good. Looking for a reliable lunch spot with easy parking and reservations, this works.
Overall, it just felt very dark inside, but was generally a good experience
Great as always - just a little chilly outside but I know the tent and heaters will appear soon
Silver serves consistently good food for a good value. Also love that it's open late!
Was a great evening- yada our server made it very special. thank you!
The brunch options are fabulous. Indulgent to sensible. I absolutely loved the Power Breakfast - tasty, healthy and hearty.
Very good. Wish bacon and home fries were crispy.... ;)
Hadn’t been in a few months. Food was room temp when it came to the table, very salty and portions were half what they were. Manager was wonderful. Server too. Didn’t complain but won’t be going back.
This is my go to place when in Bethesda. Very good food at reasonable prices with friendly service. Also, it is quiet enough to enjoy a conversation.
3 out of 4 diners were stomach sick within hours of dining.
Service was simply awful. We were sitting outside and twice I had to walk inside to find our server. Think he was overworked but still…. We waited a long time for our main course. As server was flying by after a long time we asked where our dinner was. He said it was ready and waiting for him. Well,at least 20 minutes later, we were served. It was a 2 hr meal for a casual dinner. Not right! Luckily the food is yummy.
Brunch was great. We had super service, lots of delicious choices for everyone’s palate. The fresh OJ is a must. They did run out of whole wheat toast at 10:30am! That’s odd
Chicken pot pie was disgusting. Overwhelming herb flavor and hard, oily crust. Very disappointing.
We have never been but can’t wait to go back!
We needed to eat inside at a quiet table and they were very accommodating. It was my friend's birthday and they brought a complimentary piece of delicious cake!
Service so-so, bathroom not very clean. Food good, nice outdoor seating and like very much that can reserve an outdoor table online
I am willing to dine indoors because of Silver's improved airflow system. The service is always good. As is the food. I especially love the dessert I always order: Pistachio Mousse.
As always the ambience was nice and the food well prepared. Our server provided excellent service and one step ahead of our asking for something. We’ll be back.
