The food was really good and the ambience was typical for a Friday night in the center of Bethesda, it was humming. I enjoyed the bruschetta and the lamb meatballs. It was also a fun people watching experience.

We tried some new dishes (including the Moroccan Tagine) and they were great. Very good service as well. We were first seated near the window but it was very cold with a draft from the overhead vents. The hostess seated us elsewhere and that was much more comfortable

We did a girls dinner here and had such a wonderful night - our waitress was super patient with us and went above and beyond - some of the best service I've ever had! We can't wait to come back again - and check out their daily specials - we enjoyed the half price bottle of wine night for Wednesday.

I always love Silver's warm, seasonal vegetable salad. My friend ordered a side of mac-n-cheese, but found it very bland (she added her tomato soup to it, and liked it better). Our waiter was attentive and helpful. However, it was chilly in the completely shaded outdoor dining area. This was the second time this summer that I've felt cold there. Might it be possible to open up the canopy to let some sunshine into this area?

We had a 7:30pm reservation and didn’t get seated until 8:15pm. The host staff was very nice and apologetic. We ordered and didn’t get our food until after 9pm. I had ordered a seasonal peach salad. The peaches were not ripe, hard and had no flavor. The “heirloom” tomatoes were not that at all as they seemed like grocery store tomatoes that were also not ripe. My zucchini dish was warm at best and not very flavorful. Not sure what the hype is about this restaurant, but we will not be back.

I went to Silver to meet a friend for lunch at 12:30 on Sunday. There was a line, but I had made a reservation. I ended up with a tiny table by the bar, even though I made a reservation. I asked to be moved and staff complied, and after about 15 minutes got a better table. My meal came out about 15-20 minutes before my friend's meal. The food was just OK. For the price, I expected better.

We are normally very happy with Silver but the food last night was mediocre at best and the service was poor. The salmon was bland and overcooked. We waited much too long throughout the dinner and decided to take home dessert. And the restaurant was not crowded. The wait for one slice of carry out pie took over 20 minutes.

I eat here regularly, for morning coffee, brunch, sometimes alone, other times with friends. I work there, read, talk, and enjoy the friendly environment and interesting people watching. As with Silver's resto near the Cathedral (on Wisconsin Ave), from top to the staff, Silver is well run, diverse and friendly. Senior management has obviously given lots of thought to its interaction with customers. it shows in the selectivity of the staff, who are extremely diverse, but clearly selected because of their ability and desire to talk with clients. Silver, a bistro with above average interesting food choices and pleasing environment, deserves the devoted clientele who obviously go to its properties. I am one of those

The food was ah-mazing! Our server was also bar tending, which I think is why our service was slower than other tables. The other server (for nearby tables) checked on us and took care of us when we needed things, so they hold it down with teamwork.

My friend and I both had the seared scallops, and they were terrific, with nice sides of crispy fingerling potatoes and a melange of gently cooked green beans and cauliflower. We added a 1/2 price bottle of pinot gris, and were very happy with our evening.

Excellent for Sunday brunch. Our group tried 3 different omelettes, all 3 were delicious. Best home fries I've had in a long while. The restaurant was very busy, but the wait staff held things together, and we did not feel neglected or rushed.

I want to comment about Kevin, the manager that evening, and the other staff on duty.. My husband had a medical emergency and he helped us get him inside to lie down in one of the booths. The staff was terrific. Thank you so much!

Our waiter Kathy was wonderful. The food was superb--my salmon omlette with goat cheese was delicious and my wife said the same about her caramel French toast. The service was speedy. It was a very enjoyable time.
