Went there really early in the morning for breakfast. Great food, very quiet, great service. Will recommend to others.
Food is good and service is good! It is a good place for casual lunch or dinner.
We were a large group of energetic 12 and 13 year olds. The staff was very kind and accommodating. Great for groups!
all excellent, but the lemon tartlet was way too sweet for my taste.
Pleasant restaurant in a nice convenient location. Servers are a bit casual, even for a casual restaurant. But we had good meals in nice surroundings.
Relaxing, casual and quiet. Great place to have a conversation. Beautiful presentation of tasty dinners.
We come back to Silver time and time again because it is reliable and delicious and priced right. Especially if you are conscious of calories they have a delicious low calorie menu.
Quiet place for lunch.
Great service accommodating my 14 year daughter’s bday brunch.
Wonderful experience for my birthday! Great service and food
Typically i come in with my family and we have a great time. This was my first time by myself and I assume because that'd translate to a lower check, i borderline got ignored. Yes food was served but pretty much it. 25 minutes into it, i had to flag down another to get a refill on my coffee. Very poor experience.
The service was horrible. It took forever for our drinks to come out, and once our entrées came out, our server disappeared. We were given the wrong check and the wrong credit card back twice after we paid our bill. I will not go back. I would take silver diner any day over this place.
We had a post-Thanksgiving party of 16!!! No wait time, table ready and food always good! Great spot for large parties.
Casandra is a skilled server. We appreciate her effort and will always try to request a table in her section on future visits. Food is always good.
Service/Server was very good save for Server not knowing what the seasonal draught beers were. Went to inquire and returned to say “there are no draught beers right now as we ran out and didn’t get any ordered for this week”. Really? It’s the holidays and you can’t stay atop your seasonal beer selections?! Whatever.
3 of 4 brunch/breakfast were spectacular. Eggs Benedict was horrible: was barely warm, English muffin was doughy, and whatever meat was used in lieu of Canadian bacon was sinew and actually tasted tart/sour. Overall very bland entree.
Food and service was excellent but we made a reservation and were treated like a “walk-in” - didn’t appreciate that for a business meeting. Maybe best just for social
Great food selection and a great price. Food is always fresh.
Lovely, patient server. She let us talk and checked on us appropriately. Food was good as usual. Nice experience.
Looking for a bite after a movie right there near Bethesda Row, SILVER is the perfect spot. Loads of great choices whether you want something light given a late hour or something far more substantial. We elected light. The CHICKEN AVOCADO COBB SALAD (half portion) with crisp greens, cucumber, carrots, bacon, blue cheese, egg, croutons and avocado, of course, was scrumptious topped with homemade ranch dressing. The FISH TACO BOWL with lightly battered fried fresh fish, grilled pineapple, chimichurri, avocado, colorful veggies, queso fresco, bibimbap rice and salsa roja another array of combined great tastes. Their WARM GRAIN BOWLS are not to be missed but WARNING you'll find yourself ordering them repetitively when there are so many other super choices from which to choose. REMEMBER TOO---Save you movie tickets as SILVER graciously rewards you with a free dessert for each moviegoer. ENJOY!
Our server Mir (sp.) was very friendly, polite and pleasant.
Service was poor, waited at the bar for at least 10 minutes without any service. Table was awful—pressed up against a pillar and backing into the host stand. Delivered (shareable) appetizer without plates or utensils. Entrees quickly followed and we were asked “Can I just give these to you now?” Ordered regular coffee with dessert. They didn’t have any made so it came later. (8:30 on a Saturday night.) Server did not know how to handle gift cards and was ready to reject them until we asked for a manager... Overall very poor training/standards. Food was ok.
This is a neighborhood restaurant open until after midnight and it is very convenient.
Food was just OK. It was a table of 4 and half the table's food was hot and the other half warm. Portions small in comparison to the price of dish
Went for my daughters outing with a group of friends. The food was great and atmosphere lively!
All good EXCEPT the host/hostess ignored my request to send my guest to my table, which meant he was seated elsewhere and it took us 15 minutes to realize we both were there in separate locations. VERY INCONVENIENT.
Classy spot at a perfect location. Great food. Quiet, perfect for a meal and conversation.
We really liked breakfast here. Food was delicious and waiter was very attentive.
Food was fine but not the best brunch in town, I felt it was overpriced for what I got, and again, better and more reasonable places in town. Service was good, coffee was good. Upscale diner ambiance was fine.
The food was great except for the dessert. The chocolate cake was dry and the ice cream was almost frozen.
I would definitely come back again.
Arrived just before my reservation time and was told that they were running late and didn't know when we would be seated. However, friends of the manager arriving after us were seated right away. Once we got to the table, food was mediocre and coffee was cold. Definitely not recommended.
The hubby and I ate at Silver yesterday before a movie. It was my 2nd time there. The (vegan) food was amazing! I love their selection for those on a whole foods, plant-based diet. Last week, our service was excellent. Yesterday, the server was really nice but not very attentive. She forgot items, didn't bring things out in a timely manner, and had to find her behind the bar taking to a coworker to ask for the check. She was sweet, and we'll be forgiving because of the vegan options, but we do hope the manager does a better job of training servers in the art and science of customer service.
Clean, friendly service, modern, food not great but good, not busy, you can usually get a table. Very good family place - not so much a romantic date
Great for kids. The kids menu has some nice choices. My picky grandson choose the mini pancakes, which also came with scrambled egg and fruit, and he ate all but a small amount of the egg. The avocado toast was really good as were the soups (tomato basil and crab and corn chowder). Lots of vegetarian choices, including some with Beyond Burger meat.
great brek, nothing better than a bloody and huevos rancheros for a sundy hangover.
This is a great place to take children .— especially early!
This rating is for breakfast at Silver. It's fine - nothing special. The eggs benedict are overloaded with tarragon. I think they're trying to be too fancy with their breakfast; service is friendly but slow. Their lunch and dinner menu items are much better. But for breakfast we prefer the regular Silver Diner restaurants.
We had a great experience at Silver. We visited fir a birthday brunch. The food, drinks and service were excellent! It was a bit noisy but it did not detract from our experience.
Eric, manager was very helpful
