Food was fine but not the best brunch in town, I felt it was overpriced for what I got, and again, better and more reasonable places in town. Service was good, coffee was good. Upscale diner ambiance was fine.
Arrived just before my reservation time and was told that they were running late and didn't know when we would be seated. However, friends of the manager arriving after us were seated right away. Once we got to the table, food was mediocre and coffee was cold. Definitely not recommended.
The food was great except for the dessert. The chocolate cake was dry and the ice cream was almost frozen.
I would definitely come back again.
The hubby and I ate at Silver yesterday before a movie. It was my 2nd time there. The (vegan) food was amazing! I love their selection for those on a whole foods, plant-based diet. Last week, our service was excellent. Yesterday, the server was really nice but not very attentive. She forgot items, didn't bring things out in a timely manner, and had to find her behind the bar taking to a coworker to ask for the check. She was sweet, and we'll be forgiving because of the vegan options, but we do hope the manager does a better job of training servers in the art and science of customer service.
Clean, friendly service, modern, food not great but good, not busy, you can usually get a table. Very good family place - not so much a romantic date
Great for kids. The kids menu has some nice choices. My picky grandson choose the mini pancakes, which also came with scrambled egg and fruit, and he ate all but a small amount of the egg. The avocado toast was really good as were the soups (tomato basil and crab and corn chowder). Lots of vegetarian choices, including some with Beyond Burger meat.
great brek, nothing better than a bloody and huevos rancheros for a sundy hangover.
This is a great place to take children .— especially early!
This rating is for breakfast at Silver. It's fine - nothing special. The eggs benedict are overloaded with tarragon. I think they're trying to be too fancy with their breakfast; service is friendly but slow. Their lunch and dinner menu items are much better. But for breakfast we prefer the regular Silver Diner restaurants.
We had a great experience at Silver. We visited fir a birthday brunch. The food, drinks and service were excellent! It was a bit noisy but it did not detract from our experience.
Eric, manager was very helpful
All but the noise is great and consistent server was very nice ❄️Thanks
My husband and friends have been enjoying the Silver in Bethesda this past year. Their menu is appealing and varied for all meals. When there was a double billing on my credit card for a visit the waitstaff and manager were very helpful to resolve the issue. I was put in contact with corporate and found the customer service staff to also be understanding, knowledgeable, and friendly. Kudos — and we’ll be back!
Brunch was delightful. The only issue was noise level.
Four of us went in for brunch last Sunday. We all had different meals and they were all excellent! Service was good. I would definitely recommend going there
When we were seated, there was a noisy table of children nearby. They apparently thought they were at Chuckie Cheese. The hostess sat us at a different table but it was not any better. Your restaurant was described as a quiet restaurant on Google. We left before we ordered.
Service was very slow but everything else was good!
A healthier, vegetarian-friendly take on diner comfort food. Yummy, fun, and brunch mimosas are only $8!
Always reliable for a group with different appetites and dietary issues. Delicious choices across the board. Service was uneven - slow getting drinks to table (well after appetizers arrived...) but otherwise very good experience.
Pleasant atmosphere and attentive service. Food is well prepared and some good healthy options.
Have had lunch here three times and each time, ordering different dishes, have eaten tasty, satisfying meals. Will definitely return.
Was good but they did not have my reservation from open table. That did not make me happy.
Once they took us it was fine! We waited about 20 minutes.👎
It was a lovely night so we were outdoors. Our server was terrific. I have been to Silver many times and have always liked the food. This time- no. I ordered fish and chips which I usually love. The fries were fine but the fish tasted like it was cooked frozen fish sticks. I have had this dish in many restaurants. Usually the batter is crispy and light and the fish is tender. Here, it was over cooked fish with a dense batter. Don’t order it. Go for the many other great dishes here.
Exceptional service! The food was excellent, as always, but that was hands down the best waitress I’ve ever had. She gave great wine and food recommendations and is a real asset to the restaurant.
Great location! For a casual diner type place, the menu is quite gourmet and food is good. Healthy options.
Silver has good food and good service. We're glad to have it in the neighborhood .
Service is incredibly slow. Restaurant is very noisy, but I guess that is good if you have children. Eggs were rubbery and so inedible. Maybe it is different in the evening.
Great food and service
Delish! We lived it and will go back when we’re in the area!
Excellent all around
I will return. Waitress was knowledgeable of drinks and food.
It was the tenth time I ordered avocado toast but the first time at night. There must have been an issue with the chef because the toast was soggy and the avocado was spread extremely thin. I was extremely disappointed. It, also, should be noted that a patron at the next table sent his order back to the kitchen.
Second visit for lunch — good, diverse menu and service
Excellent food. Service was very good. I’ll go back again. I highly recommend.
Food isn’t great but family friendly.
I was in town for business and had not been to Silver. I tend to find a place I like go there every time. This time, my husband was with me and wanted a burger, so we searched and settled on Silver. The food was excellent- he had a burger and I had a pretty amazing salad with tuna. We shared some apple beignets for dessert that were out of this world. Our server, Matthew, was excellent. He was attentive (but not too much!), made good recommendations, and offered my husband a taste of a beer so he could make a good choice.
I think I found my new go to place when I’m in Bethesda for work!
The service and lunchtime lack of clientele was underwhelming but the food was solid and inventive and well priced fir ample servings.
Awesome place to bring out of town family. The new menu is amazingly delicious! I don’t eat meat and went for the pasta with the incredible (vegan) Italian sausage. Probably the best vegan dish I’ve had in a restaurant!! I let my meat-loving parent try and they were blown away. My mom kept doubting that it was vegan — in fact, she said next time she’s in town she plans to get that dish! Silver continues to impress!!
Our reservation was for 5:30 PM so it was on rushed. I’m trying to keep to my vegetarian diet which I was able to do and my wife enjoyed a delicious crab cake which she shared with me. Great location
