   The flank steak marinade… off the hook! Sooo good!! Beef stroganoff was some of the best I’ve ever had. Server was just the right amount of attentive. If it was closer to my house I would be there every week. I highly recommend. Thank you

   Prices were quite a bit higher than they use to be, but the quality and portions were quite good and as expected. We frequently come gets to celebrate birthdays, so we are likely to return.

   The staff are the friendliest and most courteous that you will find. The lighting and ambiance are good for those of us with tired eyes to read the menus. Food is always excellent. This is our favorite restaurant to visit for great food and a nice time.

    The only thing that was enjoyable about or experience was our waiter, he was awesome. The food was sub-par and it took way too long. We were stuck in the corner by a noisy group of people despite having reservations..... Most likely will not return unfortunately. The waiter was the only thing we enjoyed.

    The cocktails at the bar were perfect. Ryan knows what he is doing. The portobello mushroom was not my favorite appetizer but I did want to try it and it was satisfying. The Fillet Mignon was magnificent and cooked just the way it should be. The chocolate dessert was a great way to end a fantastic meal.

    “Pregame” drinks in the bar with very attentive service. Seated on time and greeted immediately by our server. Devin was very professional! Yet capable of easy talk and congratulated us on our anniversary. Food was plentiful and prepared perfectly! A nice touch was our names at the top of the menu acknowledging our special night and complimentary glasses of champagne. Very comfortable inside. This was our third visit as long time Elk Grove residents. Can’t wait to come back…..with friends!

    Both the food and the staff were exceptional. It was our anniversary and eveyone went out of their way to make it special. I highly recommend the place. Wish I could give them six stars.

    If you are in the Elk Grove/Wilton area and want to have a five star dining experience, you can’t do better than The Sheldon Inn Restaurant & Bar. We went there to celebrate our 7th Wedding Anniversary. From the receptionist who greeted us to the hostess who seated us and the server who took our order and anticipated our every need, the service was outstanding! I ordered a 12oz Rib Eye and my lovely wife chose a 9oz Filet Mignon. Everything was cooked to perfection! We saved room for their house-made desserts and they were great. We will definitely be regular guests of this super restaurant!

    We had a lovely Mother’s Day brunch at Sheldon inn , our server was outstanding and very attentive , we all ordered different entrees and each was delicious and satisfying. We were in the upstairs room and it was nice for us because it was much quieter than downstairs which made conversation nice. We also had dessert which was really good !

    I took my mom and my wife out here to a dinner for Mother’s day. We started out with a bottle of wine and the brussel sprout appetizer. The wine on the list was a 2019 cab and the waiter brought out a 2021 and told us that was all there was and that it was the same price, even though the menu was wrong. The brussel sprouts were drenched in a vinegar-based sauce and were saturated and not really crispy. They still tasted decent. For the main course, I ordered the ribeye medium-rare and it came with fingerling potatoes and green beans. The steak was easily past medium unfortunately, but still was seasoned well and was a decent cut of meat. The potatoes were tasty and cooked well, but the green beans were terrible. I would have never served these undercooked, under-seasoned vegetables to someone, especially at an upscale restaurant. My mom had the filet which was slightly overcooked as well with similar green beans and potatoes. Same deal. My wife had the lobster ravioli which was great. No complaints there. For dessert, my wife ordered the bread pudding dish and I had the keylime pie. The bread pudding was tasty, but maybe just a little overdone and lacking in chocolate chips. The keylime pie however, WAS AWESOME. It was a two-layer dish so it had two layers of crust which is my favorite part. Really saved the whole meal for me, considering the price. Overall, the place was “good” but not great. I’d give it another chance and maybe order some other things. Still a bit pricey for what you get!

    The food is always consistently well done. The adult beverages offered are great, and always tasty. We enjoy sitting on the patio and the outdoor atmosphere is so pretty and so relaxing. The wait staff is always professional, courteous and very attentive. Yes, we’ll keep going back!

    Sheldon Inn is NEVER a disappointment. My rib steak was incredibly tender. The service was fast and our waitress was very friendly. The lemon cheesecake was delicious.

    We love this restaurant wish it was a little closer but worth the drive. The food and service all great. They have timing down perfectly never rushed but never ignored. Plenty of time to finish your first courses before the next course. Much appreciated.

    They took the time and effort to acknowledge our anniversary dinner by providing their latest menu with "Happy Anniversary" printed at the header. They didn't have to. They asked and took a photo of us at tableside and printed and framed the photo with cardstock with the caption (you guessed it) "Happy Anniversary". They didn't have to. The food was outstanding and a glowing statement of commitment embraced by the kitchen and serving staff. Devon was knowledgeable, polite, accessible and serious about his tasks. The staff were in perpetual motion. Will we return for another celebration? We most certainly have to, even if we feel the need find a reason, such as seeing the smile of my spouse enjoying a special time in a special place. Elk Grove has a gem and it's Sheldon Inn.

    I went to Sunday brunch around noon with my 8-year-old son for a special mom-and-son outing. We were pleased that our seats were on the patio, as requested. However, two very loud and seemingly drunk women were cussing and making the experience feel uncomfortable. The service was friendly, but the server forgot my son's root beer and his bacon was not prepared extra crispy. The kids plate was rather skimpy and could at least come with a side of toast.
