Amazing food, great ambiance, the only thing i could fault was the desert the tiramisu wasn't very nice - it was very soggy and the crepe was not great either but the rest of the food was fab! the best prawns ever!
It was my mums birthday and she thoroughly enjoyed it
Absolutely spot on as always. Staff so amazing and genuinely amusing. Wonderful experience
Had a Wonderful time with my family on Sunday afternoon. Lovely atmosphere with the waiters singing.Food was excellent. Staff very accommodating. Can’t wait to go back!!
The best Italian food I’ve had in London no question! Traditional Italian food along with a team of true hearty Italians.
Amazing service, amazing food.
I treated my friend here as a farewell meal who was leaving the UK soon and absolutely love it and highly recommend. All the food was fantastic. Lobster spaghetti and truffle risotto are must-haves. Scallops are so tender, tiramisu is really satisfying. Will come back after the lockdown
We booked this restaurant as have been to many of the San Carlo restaurants, but this was very disappointing.
I was taking my wife out for our anniversary which we had informed the restaurant in advance, but no mention whatsoever of this by this restaurant, usually a restaurant would at the very least acknowledge by saying happy anniversary and some would offer you a small desert or something.
We ordered starters which was scallops which was good to average, then to main, my wife had lobster risotto and I ordered ravioli. Risotto was very good, buy my ravioli tasted like it had come out of a packet and was very very thick. I took a few bites and advised the waiter it was too thick and I didn't want it, he didn't offer to replace it with another or apologise just this is our ravioli, always like this. I said to him I never ate such ravioli in an Italian restaurant, he just chose to ignore and took my plate. I was still hungry so ordered a chicken dish that sounded very good with a side of spinach.
The dish arrived and no spinach, I asked the waiter where is the spinach, he said coming coming ... asked again after 5 minutes and then after 10 mins after my chicken arrived the spinach arrived..
Chicken was very tough and somewhat tasteless, very very disappointed.
By this time I just wanted to get the bill and leave, but wife said lets just try the desert we maybe surprised.. ordered pancakes and yes were surprised, they weren't as described .
Asked for the bill and I saw they charged for the ravioli they had sent back, at this stage I wasn't in any mood to argue, so just paid and left.
If you want very average food and service then ok. But there are far better, more attentive restaurants.
This was definitely a huge let down for something we was looking forward to.
Should not be a San Carlo affiliated restaurant.
Perfect date night location. Best italian around and very authentic. I recommend the fillet steak with the butter sauce with 30 ingredients!
I ate lobster pasta and tiramisu.
Both were very delicious, especially lobster pasta was amazing.
The staff was very kind from the beginning to the end.
I highly recommend this restaurant!
The menu was great, could have tried every dish. The food and wine are amazing, the staff even better!
There were some good and not so good elements of our overall experience. To begin with the service was extremely slow. The food was hit and miss: the starters - gnocchi and truffle tagliatelle - were really good, the mains - dover sole and veal chop - were OK and the desserts were poor. The tiramisu was the worst I've ever had, and that's very disappointing from an Italian restaurant. The staff seemed to be struggling on the night I visited so maybe it was just a bad night for them.
Food was very average, service was shocking. Highly overrated.
Good location close to Harrods. Nice oyster and scallops. Lobster spaghetti didn’t have much lobster in it. There was a really loud group dining on the night we were there. Waiters very friendly however they were too busy to provide attentive service
Another stunning meal, one of my favourite restaurants in London
Very good service and friendly staff. Food is also always great
I had my birthday meal at this restaurant and had a lovely experience. Nice friendly staff. Disappointed with their signature dish, Lobster spaghetti which was dull. The sauce had zero seafood taste. All you could taste was the sweet tomatoes. In my opinion the best Lobster spaghetti in London is at Bentley’s in Piccadilly. The sauce is super flavoursome, rich shell fish base and just the right amount of tomatoes. Their lobster bisque is to die for.
Very good service and good quality. i am a frequent visitor and the quality has stayed good always ..
Wonderful experience! The food was absolutely amazing! Will definitely go back again soon.
Outstanding food and service! I absolutely love this place!
Lovely restaurant, great decor, friendly staff, fantastic choice of food to suit everyone, food is amazing, will definitely return
Pasta was lovely and fresh. Service was great and felt very welcome. It felt like a small cosy restaurant as the rooms are divided up, this gave it a bit more charm.
Overall a great night! Delicious food & lovely atmosphere
This was lunch and catch up with a dear friend.
The experience was perfect, from the beginning to the end. The food was, as usual, delicious, the service faultless and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and laid back. Both of us have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely return soon!!
There was a very rude waiter, who was shouting (we are out of Lobsters) next to every table that was ordering
Great food , that is why we keep coming back
The food was very average, service was slow but they were busy. They were kind to seat us after a mix up with the reservations
Signor Sassi is so consistently good - great food, service and ambiance - no surprise it has been a favourite of mine for over 30 years
I am sure the dinner would of been lovely if we even managed to pass the door.
We arrived a little early and was basically screamed at my the host as soon as we walked through the door.
We are not taking reservations as we are overbooked. I tried to explain we actually had a reservation but the ignorant didn't want to listen. He shouted in our face that they was over booked with a party of 9 and then 15 - he didn't care to ask if we was one of them parties. Ironically there was plenty spare tables we could see through the window. The host was potentially the rudest most ignorant pig I have ever met. No apology they had overbooked, not even contacting us beforehand. We was left trying to find a restaurant with no reservation and two small children.
What a great afternoon! This is now my second visit and both times did not disappoint. Great staff, great food and great vibe. A lovely afternoon and one we will remember!
We had another lovely meal here - the best Italian food we have had in London. Service was excellent as usual. So busy this time though - we felt a bit squashed in and hurried. No complaints about the food though. It was all delicious.
Amazing real Italian restaurant - couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Fantastic restaurant, great range of Italian food and really delicious. Very high standard of service from polite staff. Reasonable prices bearing in mind it's Knightsbridge. Relaxed atmosphere, there were a few families with children but they were not disruptive at all. Very pleasurable dining experience and highly recommended.
One of my favourite restaurants in London - great food and even better service. A must visit!
Good food, attentive staff, and great ambiance! We enjoyed our dinner, and would not hesitate to try any San Carlo restaurants. Menu is extensive....lots to choose from. Branzino was amazing. Thanks!
Our favourite restaurant in London - always great!
Staff was a bit rough. I think maybe is their Italy culture. We ordered the lobster spaghetti and shell seafood for main course. Main course was ok. Nothing to shout about. Starter was crab salad and oyster. Crab salad was good fresh
Favourite Italian restaurant - best lobster spaghetti and risotto in London. Good ratio of value and portion sizes.
