We dined at Signatures after visiting the Christian Dior exhibition across the street at the Royal Ontario Museum. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Intercontinental Hotel and I'd highly recommend it as a perfect lunch spot on a museum visit or Bloor Street shopping day, a meeting spot near the University of Toronto (I'm an academic so I think of these things) or a great place for a business lunch (and, in fact, there was a group there when we visited). Clean, modern decor accented in restrained French country style; greys, beiges, whites and creams, with the most beautiful golden leather banquettes; and plenty of natural light coming in through tall windows facing onto a hotel court-yard area - a relaxed up-scale atmosphere in a large dining space that feels both spacious and intimate. The lunch menu is not extensive but the dishes are beautifully conceived and the ingredients are the very best; we shared a turkey 'club' in which every ingredient was superlative (real turkey, crisp bacon, lovely lettuce and tomato (in February!) on toasted, brioche-inspired bread). Other entrees included a delicious looking chicken curry, a wonderful creamy cauliflower soup - the chef treats the very best ingredients beautifully. Lovely wine list. Gracious, attentive serving staff, discrete and efficient. We felt pampered and appreciated -

The wait staff were lovely but the food took quite a long time to come such that we had to pack up our dessert to go.

Pleasant locale within the Intercontinental. Convenient for business meeting.

Mixed reviews for service. First breakfast service was very slow. Second day service noticeably better.

Newly renovated and it shows with a positive attitude. Chef visited the early tables before the kitchen was too busy. Great menu - spoilt for choice. Best not to sit too near the entrance to the restaurant as there is a draft from the hotel front door (we visited in mid-January). Very good experience and appreciate the mini-desserts (e.g., 1 chocolate dipped strawberries + truffle for $5).

Comfortable, not noisy, excellent food and service. Ambience is pleasing and attractive. Menu is relatively small but preparation, presentation and service are excellent. Wine list more than adequate.

I hate to mention this lovely place, for fear it will become too popular and we won't get in..
Wonderful food and lovely staff and nice atmosphere... Comfortable seating and not too noisy In short a place for conversation. Perfect for before Koerner Hall.
