Overall lunch I had with two friends was fine. We like the room because it's quiet. I thought the service was a tad slow, i.e. it took a long time for the food to arrive. It was not very busy, except for a table of about 10 people, which might have slowed things down in the kitchen. The service was otherwise very friendly and accommodating.
I accidentally made this reservation for the wrong Signature. I’m in San Antonio & this Signature is in Toronto. We did not dine at this restaurant so please disregard the review. I forgot when I was rating & there was no way to erase.
We enjoyed the food, service and special details, like serving a birthday cheesecake! We thoroughly enjoyed it! Thank you!
Bridal Brunch was lovely!
Much better than a hotel restaurant.
Food and Service was very good or excellent.
Diner was very good quality and portion.
Wine list was short, however I found a wonderful wine.
Breakfast was over priced. Good quality food.
Servers were all excellent.
We enjoyed the meal! Our plates were totally cleaned. The service was excellent. Very friendly staff. Thank you for the lovely lunch.
I eat out a LOT and I remarked how excellent the service was, albeit the place was half-empty, but it was genuinely attentive. The server was not simply going through the motions, he truly cared about treating us well. Food was good too!
We dined at Signatures after visiting the Christian Dior exhibition across the street at the Royal Ontario Museum. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Intercontinental Hotel and I'd highly recommend it as a perfect lunch spot on a museum visit or Bloor Street shopping day, a meeting spot near the University of Toronto (I'm an academic so I think of these things) or a great place for a business lunch (and, in fact, there was a group there when we visited). Clean, modern decor accented in restrained French country style; greys, beiges, whites and creams, with the most beautiful golden leather banquettes; and plenty of natural light coming in through tall windows facing onto a hotel court-yard area - a relaxed up-scale atmosphere in a large dining space that feels both spacious and intimate. The lunch menu is not extensive but the dishes are beautifully conceived and the ingredients are the very best; we shared a turkey 'club' in which every ingredient was superlative (real turkey, crisp bacon, lovely lettuce and tomato (in February!) on toasted, brioche-inspired bread). Other entrees included a delicious looking chicken curry, a wonderful creamy cauliflower soup - the chef treats the very best ingredients beautifully. Lovely wine list. Gracious, attentive serving staff, discrete and efficient. We felt pampered and appreciated -
The staff was personable and attentive. Food was delicious. Overall a very pleasant experience.
The wait staff were lovely but the food took quite a long time to come such that we had to pack up our dessert to go.
Excellent food & service
Pleasant locale within the Intercontinental. Convenient for business meeting.
Mixed reviews for service. First breakfast service was very slow. Second day service noticeably better.
Newly renovated and it shows with a positive attitude. Chef visited the early tables before the kitchen was too busy. Great menu - spoilt for choice. Best not to sit too near the entrance to the restaurant as there is a draft from the hotel front door (we visited in mid-January). Very good experience and appreciate the mini-desserts (e.g., 1 chocolate dipped strawberries + truffle for $5).
Comfortable, not noisy, excellent food and service. Ambience is pleasing and attractive. Menu is relatively small but preparation, presentation and service are excellent. Wine list more than adequate.
Very nice and quiet lunch with a friend. Very friendly and courteous service. The food was also good.
We took a senior friend or ours and our daughter and all of us enjoyed everything -food, service and decor. We will come again!
I hate to mention this lovely place, for fear it will become too popular and we won't get in..
Wonderful food and lovely staff and nice atmosphere... Comfortable seating and not too noisy In short a place for conversation. Perfect for before Koerner Hall.
No menu before noon. Don’t make reservations for before then otherwise, you will be eating cold buffet.
My friends and I went on a Sunday evening. Honestly the service was slow at the beginning but it caught on as the traffic slowed down. However, it shouldn't be like this given the status of this restaurant. Food was tasty and the presentation was very artistic.
Overall, outstanding experience! The food was comparable to Sassafraz, but at a much more affordable price tag. Just a heads up though, the restaurant does not accept outside food, which includes birthday cakes.
Service was acceptable, but keep in mind we were a group of 20 and were told from the start it would take longer than average to be served, so no surprise there. The ambiance is very pleasant, low lighting and chic decor made it a perfect setting for late 20's - early 30's birthday setting. What made the experience outstanding was the fact that we were seated at the big table in the center of the restaurant (rather a number of smaller tables lined up to make one) . It was not busy at all, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. There is a great bar next door at Proof, so it was very convenient to hop over for apres-dinner drinks.
The one and only complain is the execrable wine list. I'm all for spending $40+ on a nice bottle of wine, but getting charged $52 for a bottle for your run of the mill Argentinian Malbec that you can buy at LCBO for $12 is a shame.
We had a family celebration for my mom's birthday (about 10 people) and had brunch at Signatures. We had never been before. The service was excellent, the food was great and the place itself is very nicely decorated and a really nice room to be in. I recommend this place and will be back.
Team dinner, enjoyed by all. Each course was fantastic!
The food and service were 1st class. The lamb shank that I ordered was perfect, and the scallops that my wife ordered were exquisite. My wife said the crab cake that she ordered as appetizer was the best she's ever had.
The atmosphere is coffee shop(ish), but the food and service more than makes up for it.
I would definitely return.
Awesome experience. Everything perfect.
We ordered the 5 apps for a meal as well as a main and shared. Everything we had was cooked perfectly and delicious.
Food was OK, nothing outstanding, we had two kids dishes, and I had a steak meal , place was almost empty on Saturday evening, I heard it does get full during breakfast, due to Hotel restaurant
Had a wonderful experience. Great service, delicious food. The quiet atmosphere created a perfect place for conversation.
We enjoyed the food , service and ambiance. The patio provided an excellent oasis for quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday during the Summerlicious period. An excellent menu to choose from. The shank of lamb was especially successful. Fine service and pleasant surroundings.
Great menu as it shows which items have specific food allergens. My wife has celiac disease & they were very good about checking to make sure her meal was gluten free. They even gave her gluten free bread. Service was excellent & food was very tasty. Very attentive to details. Very relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely go back. The crab cakes were excellent with lots of crab meat &the beef tenderloin was done just right. My wife's mushroom & chicken soup was very tasty & her grilled organic salmon was the best she every had.
Signatures Restaurant provided exceptional food and service once again. Our daughter was celebrating her graduation from U of T and to our surprise the staff reserved their private room for us; created an amazing dessert platter to congratulate her and were incredibly attentive and friendly.
The meal choices are quite diverse and offer alternatives to those with restricted diets or requiring special dietary meals. All the dishes are flavourful; have high quality ingredients and are perfectly seasoned. The soups are an absolute must try! Definitely save room for dessert - there are delicious sampler sizes to try or indulge in one of their offerings.
Great dining experience and thank you to all the staff and the chef who made this special day totally memorable.
Excellent service and foods as always!!!
Good service, not too noisy and food was good
Already gave glowing review on tripadvisor, pleased to repeat: excellent service, quiet enough for business brunch, accommodating to my wishes. I'd gladly return. Only complaint: traffic on Bloor on a spring Saturday was horrendous. Doormen and wait staff just terrific.
I don't like this review page since it doesn't have 6 stars. And this is 6 stars restaurant. Excellent food, and excellent service. Going back again on Mother's Day.
Reallly love and and it's a highly recommended restaurant.
Thank you for the excellent experience.
Service was attentive and the restaurant is large enough to host big parties. We were there for the Christmas day menu. For about 5 courses, it was a good deal at $65 (wine and coffee/tea) not included.
The appetizer portion was generous considering it was foie gras.
For mains, I was told that the stuffing was spectacular but that the turkey was slightly dry.
The other main, the beef tenderloin was cooked to the requested medium rare but slightly lacking in flavour (it's a lean cut-- so was to be expected).
This restaurant is excellent in every way. Missed their Fixed Christmas menu as in years past, but their choices were ample to choose from. They allowed us to sit and chat without rushing us out the door. This is our third annual visit to this restaurant
We have been dining at Signatures for more than 18 years and have found the food, service and ambiance to be nothing less than superb.
That's why it is our favorite restaurant in Toronto.
The staff is always friendly, accommodating and attentive.
The food is first-rate and has never wavered in quality.
Our last visit was Nov.7th and 8th when we stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel for 2 days so we enjoyed dinner and breakfast at Signatures.
Jenna was our server and couldn't have been nicer.
We highly recommend this wonderful Toronto spot!
Food took a bit long to arrive but all good. Always go there for lunch when I'm in Yorkville.
attentive service; quiet; great patio option; comfortable seating for adults
