Signature Grill at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa

Daniel our server was outstanding. The wine we requested was not available so he upgraded our choice at no extra charge. Food was amazing and service the best!

The salmon was poorly prepared. Had a somewhat sour taste and was a poor meal for the price. The martinis was poorly prepared. The server tried very hard to make this a good experience , but the restaurant did not measure up to expectations.

My friends and I made a reservation for 7:30p. We placed or orders and continued on talking and enjoying our evening...but once we saw it was 8:45p and no food or explanation of an issue,, we all got hangry.

We had to flag down our waitress and she informed us that the kitchen was backed up. She was running all over so I empathized for her. Her Management really left her dangling. I understand that COVID-19 has everything out of balance, but Management should have been proactive with their guests and politely explained the kitchen was backed up and offered us complimentary chips and salsa...OR...had their wait staff make a suggestion to order some due to the extended kitchen time. Since neither occurred, it definitely put a damper on the experience.

Btw...the food was not complicated. We had 2 pasta dishes, one filet mignon, and 2 salads with shrimp. Nothing to merit over an hour wait.

The food was very good, once it came out. Had Management taken the time to say something before we did...we would have walked away with a much different perspective.

We did return the next morning for breakfast and our experience was much better! Our waiter was knowledgeable and polite. His recommendations of food were spot on. Im glad we gave them another chance.

We enjoyed eating on the patio. The service and safety was excellent. The wine is fairly priced and even though the menu is limited the food is excellent. We shared a salad and seafood pasta that were excellent.

The waiter, Germann was horrible. I had to stop him every time he walk by the table to ask for service.

We dine here regularly because they have a nice patio with a wonderful view. The menu has been pared down because of the drop in business due to Covid-19, but the service and the cooking is still terrific. It would be nice to have misters outside, since we'll probably want to dine on the patio next summer, too. My husband and I usually order burgers (which come with great fries and pickles) but this time I ordered a steak and it was very good. I do miss the lavosh - perhaps they'll bring it back when the pandemic is over.

We go here monthly for burgers because they always cook my medium-rare burger correctly, and the spicy pickles and sweet potato fries are killer. When we order regular dinners, they always come with the best lavash and grissini we've ever had anywhere. When we were younger, we used to finish dinner with their chocolate brownie cake, but as we've grown older we don't have room for it anymore, but we highly recommend it. Service is always friendly and attentive. Great views from the patio.

Wonderful food and outstanding service. Will be glad to visit the resort and it’s restaurants again.

We ordered a bottle of wine with dinner and when the food arrived, our waitress said the bar was really backed up and the wine would be out soon. We ended up canceling the bottle because by the time it would have been delivered, we would have been halfway through our meal. I understand that we could have taken the wine home if it wasn’t finished, but the whole point was to enjoy it before and during the meal.

We also didn’t get the bread basket until right before the entrees arrived. The timing seemed to be very off all night—quite disappointing because we were really looking forward to having a special dinner at Signature Grill.

Disappointing, as we love primo . My husband did like his burger but my veggie pasta was swimming in cream. Menu said garlic white wine sauce so I was thinking light as we started with chorizo fondue which was very heavy . Good but not necessarily for 14 bucks. Overall, not impressed. Will go back to primo in the future

Signature grill is a place we always love to come for breakfast and we’re always warmly received and served.

The food was very good, our server, Claudia, was on point.....very helpful in recommendations for entrees and accommodating changes for dietary needs.

They've changed the menu again to keep it interesting, but I do miss my old favorites. The food and the service are always consistently good, and so are the desserts even though we're always too full to order one (the chocolate cake has always been our favorite). My husband said that his soup was very good - like a :wet enchilada" (that didn't sound appetizing but he liked it). My burger was perfectly medium-rare, as usual, and came with delicious sweet potato fries and spicy pickles (the best ever). Try not to overeat on the complimentary lavash and grissini - they are the best ever.

There is a picture of apple pie posted on the reviews. They do not have, nor have they served apple pie in quite some time. Other than the disappointment of no pie, it was an outstanding meal.

Average food. We both had the chef special, flat iron steak. My wife thought it was good, as she was starving. Nothing really special about the meal, we could have had it at BJ’s or Chili’s for half the price. Waitress was very good though.

I had the small Caesar and added steak AND shrimp. It was AMAZING! And since it was our last night we ordered the Churros-they did not disappoint!

Seafood in the Desert

The Signature Grill at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa has a refined, comfortable ambiance. The views of the desert are spectacular. It is the perfect spot for a quiet, romantic dinner. We decided on the Grilled Salmon served with quinoa, wilted greens, seasonal vegetables and tomato jam. The salmon was light and flaky with a pleasant grilled flavor. The seasonal local vegetables were the perfect flavorful side dish. The service was exceptional with attention to details for comfort and privacy.

The Signature Grill at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa features flavors from local cultures and American Western cowboy cuisine. We enjoyed delicious Pozole Soup with seasoned pork, chilies, and hominy. Then we selected the Signature Angus Burger. The Angus Beef burger was grilled to perfection with aged cheddar cheese, smoked bacon, lettuce and tomato. As a side we had Parmesan herb fries. It was a delicious combination of flavors. Service was excellent.

Great, but very loud. Not much ambience. For dinner, hard to have conversation.

We joined our good friends for a pre-Christmas dinner and were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the restaurant amazingly uncrowned.

We went to celebrate a birthday. Our table was ready when we got there, and next to the window so we had a lovely view. Our dinners were excellent and the servers attentive. We will return.

I was after reading some of the reviews; however, my wife and I had a great experience. Food and service were outstanding.

Chose the Signature Grill for a graduation dinner. The plate size was very small for the price. The service was very good and they accommodated me with a complimentary dessert for my graduation. They also accommodate food allergies. I was just expecting a bit more. We frequently visit Rita’s kitchen at the Marriott at Camelback Inn. I highly recommend them if you are in the Phoenix area.
