Found it to be very $$for what it was. 3 drinks , 1 Ap and 3 dinners( pizza’s) 154.00 … had to ask for place settings and empty plates were still on table after we paid the bill… defiantly paying for the rooftop deck… if you are looking for high end food, it is not here, probably a better place for just drinks
Upstairs outdoor seating is a must
Great service and fun atmosphere
The server wasn’t attentive at all he only came to the take take the order and give us the check. The drinks were good, but not sure if I’ll be back because of the poor service.
Food was cold and terrible. Tasteless, description much better than actual food.
Waited quite a bit of time before anyone came to acknowledge/offer water or drinks for the table. Staff seemed to be more focused in the rooftop that was full vs customers inside resulting in messed up orders. Food was pretty good, bathrooms could definitely be cleaner.
Good place. Great location. Nice ambiance. Bit pricey but par for the course here. Had a $20 chicken caeser salad. It was good.
First time here and instantly fell in love with the vibes. The rooftop was so nice and the music was at a perfect level. Our server was great and explained certain things on the menu after knowing it was our first time. Food was amazingggg. Everything we ordered (it was 4 of us) was absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back soon!
Great food, great drinks, great staff. Waiter delivered my drink and asked if I wanted to record it before it was poured over dry ice (which was very courteous of him). He memorized our orders which was very impressive and cracked a few jokes. 10/10 experience.
They were missing a lot of the stuff that we ordered that night so we had to compromise. It was too cold because the AC was blasting on is the entire time. Empanadas and the fried calamari were amazing!
More of a bar than a restaurant. Large menu but huge bar. Not as seafood-focused as the name suggests. Food was ok, service was terrible. Having been a server and bartender in another life, I was compelled to tip, even though I didn’t want to.
The food was delicious. My wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere and I got to watch a few games while we dined.
Our waitress was very attentive. Our appetizers arrived about 5 minutes after we ordered them.
Overall excellent experience!
We will be back!
sitting right next to the bar was a little too loud for me and my date.
The restaurant featured 2 tropical pineapple bowls as entrees on the menu, but neither were available. The restaurant seemed to be a great meeting place for young urban professionals. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
We waited for too long for the food to come up. More than 30 mins waiting for food after order , and told the waitress that we are in a hurry. We waited and waited nothing to do but wait.
I had to change my reservation time last-minute, and the staff were incredibly accommodating and understanding. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were immediately sat and the staff remained attentive & friendly throughout our brunch. It was a fantastic experience with great food, and I'll definitely be back!
Wasn't a bad place, but the server was obviously on her phone while we were waiting for the check. Also the kitchen was closed for 30 minutes during peak dinner time?
All staff was sitting at the bar. They barely noticed us when we walked in. They told us to choose anywhere. No one showed up to our table for 20 minutes. So we left.
Met in Stamford for Fathers Day brunch, 1.5 hour trip. We sat outside on slate deck and was extremely hot. They only had 3 umbrellas. Every table should have an umbrella! Service was prompt and courteous. Mussels and beet salad were great! The chicken skewers were good, but a bit dry overcooked. The shrimp tacos were just okay. We won’t be back.
I went for a birthday brunch. The food was really good. We got to sit up top on the rooftop but didn’t get to really I enjoy it because we were put in the back corner with no umbrella. The service was good even though they were busy.
Went for Father’s Day brunch. Service was very very slow. The waitress said that people was talking to him and that why it took so long to bring our drinks. It literally took him about 30min… well he brought us a warm mimosa! Yup! In a hot summer day! Our bill came wrong a couple times. First we got a bill of 68$ and my credit card was charged 86$ instead. Then after chasing for the waiter to complain he brought us another bill and again it was wrong. He was finally able to get it right in the third time. Luckily the food was good!
We came in without a reservation and were told that no tables were available because they were all reserved and that there were only seats at the bar. So I turned around and reserved a table for 10 minutes later and was seated at a table immediately. Not sure who makes the reservation process but clearly the tables weren’t reserved and it was mildly annoying to say the least. Food was ok but we didn’t see our waitress that often so getting a drink was tough at times. Other than all that we had a good time.
This is a great restaurant. We went at lunch time. They weren’t quite ready but once things got going all was good. Very windy area and they couldn’t put up the umbrella for shade because of the wind. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
We were there at 6.30 pm to find a table upstairs. It was available, While having drinks, ordered food closer to 7 pm. The waitress was polite. Atmosphere was pleasant. Around 7.40, we asked about our food. She said the chef left the day before and therefore a bit slow. Finally, after more queries, and when we decided to leave, the food finally arrived at 8.20 pm.
It was a lousy experience - even not worth wasting my time to write this note.
Food was good. Took a very long time to come. Clearly it was an issue in the kitchen; the waitress was attentive and apologetic. Nice to be outside on an early summer day!
The pineapple bowl with shrimp was so good and flavorful! The drinks were really good, I’d recommend the strawberry mules. Loved it here, will definitely be back very soon
My sisters birthday! The view food and ambiance just perfect .
Both the food and drinks were different but very good, not something you find everywhere. The ambiance was lively. I’d look forward to coming back.
Loud music!!!!Not great! Service disappointing! Food not seasoned well….3% COVID charge for disinfectant surprising!
Armando was great! Made the experience wonderful. Will go back
Wonderful experience. Good food. Good service.
The food was ok. I had the French toast and it was burnt, the eggs were flavorless. The atmosphere was nice but the music was too loud. I probably would go back but next time sit on the rooftop where it may be less noisy and order something else.
Turns into a nightclub/bar after 10
i had a reservation but still had to wait 15 mins for a table. They weren`t apologetic at all.Still love the food so i`ll go back
Made a reservation and hostess was a bit passive and asked if we could just eat at the bar. I don’t think that was the best way to provide a solution. However I do understand that you were busy. We were seated 35 min later. Food was actually delicious! I had the seafood pasta and my friend had a burger. Both were cooked perfectly with tons of flavor. Good music and atmosphere, young people everywhere. Roof top is always fun when the weather is warm. Will definitely come back.
Security guard was profiling my younger brother because of how he was dressed. He thought he was alone so was following him the entire night. Little did he know that the young group of adults standing next to him were with him. When I approached him and asked hi if there was a specific dressed code he was looking for he said no but would like him to pick up his pants. He then stopped following my brother when he realized the group he was with.
Great breakfast/brunch. Amazing deal on mimosas. Fun place.
First time me and wife have been out in a while. We also invited a friend. Our experience was mediocre at best. Our rooftop sitting was great, the food was okay. But the waiter ruined the experience for us. He was so rude! He showed up at our table did not introduce himself, when our friend asked what he suggested for drinks, he couldn't even give a suggestion. I asked for coffee but he said the coffee machine is broken (keep in mind, it was brunch time 12:30pm). After he brought some mediocre mimosas, he was gone for a long time. I flagged him down n said were ready to oder. When they finally brought the food, it was cold. N we didn't see the waiter again. He didn't even come back to check if we needed anything. So once again, I flagged him down. When I told him the fries were cold and soggy, he reached over, didn't say excuse me and left, almost hit one of us with his elbow. After he brought the fries back, he didn't come back. I went to the bar, paid n left. This waiter is in the wrong industry, and we will not return to Sign of Whale until this is rectified.
Great food, reasonably priced
