Food was pretty good and the drink choices were great. Ordered steak medium rare and was cook correctly but meat was tough (even using a steak knife). Location was great however, guests did not follow social distancing rules (and took photos near us while were dining without masks - staff seemed okay with this). Otherwise, it was a pleasant experience.
We ordered items that never came and then we were charged for them. The server did take them off the bill after we asked, but service wasn't great. We ate outside and it started to sporadically rain and their staff was very unprepared - no umbrellas, a lot of chaos. Food was okay.
Muscles were the worst I’ve had in Stamford- tasted like ketchup
This was my first time visiting and I was in awe Everything was so impressive. Staff was friendly food was delicious and the Dj was playing all my favorites! Definitely will be returning !
This place was awesome! We came in on a Friday night. They had a DJ playing really fun music, a good mix of 2000s hits and current hits. It was loud, but the music was good so we didn’t mind. The drinks were amazing. So delicious and creative. Food, also amazing. My boyfriend and I got the meat platter for 2 and it didn’t disappoint!
Food drinks service everything was exceptional would recommend to
The ambience was amazing! The food was so well prepared and tasty! Great portions! The music was THE BEST! Felt like a big party event! Loved that!
I really had fun and the ambiance and music was great. The food was not the best. Great for having drinks and hanging out with friends. Really great atmosphere I had fun.
Great music! Perfect summer roof top for day drinking!
Very nice the place. The brunch it’s very nice with your friends.
It was cold on the rooftop, they had several heaters available but were all apparently broken. We were freezing and our food never came. We opted to get our food to go because they wouldn’t swap out our tables for one inside the restaurant, even after waiting nearly an hour for a table. They said there weren’t any available. When we left around 10:30, there were plenty of tables available within eye shot view. We just wanted to eat our food. So we spend over $50 each and couldn’t even sit and have our meal. They were generally disorganized and not accommodating at all. The calamari was super oily and not appetizing.
I went there prior and had no issues. This time took awhile to order then when ordered never got water or what we asked for within 40 mins it was crazy. The waiters were to busy flirting rather then serving. Very disappointed
Wanted this to be better - it was OK. Not great. Very good location.
The staff seemed to be a bit unorganized, but the real issue was the drinks. $14 per mixed drink and they were by far the worst I have ever had.
I first had the “Strawbery Lemonaide: Juice Box” which was just served in a regular plastic cup. Very sweet, strawberries were old and gross, overall stale tasting. I then ordered the “Paloma” and asked for it to be spicy. I honestly could not even finish it. The club soda was flat and there was zero flavor. I essentially was drinking some vodka and stale water.
Food was delicious. The “Hangover Hash” was worth every penny. Again, not a terrible experience... except for the drinks.
Food was delicious! I went twice in the same wee
Unfortunately the food came out cold and was not address after we told the waiter. Also waiter was too busy with so many tables he really did not pay attention to us other than taking our order and bringing us the check. Not a good experience at all.
They gave me a ridiculously small table in front of the kitchen that had lettuce leftovers all over the place. Left immediately.
Meal and service was great as usual!
We usually love Sign of the Whale and have been going there for many years and even during the pandemic on the rooftop dining. This past Saturday the restaurant was very crowded and the service was terrible, that has never happened before! I think I will be waiting a while before visiting again! : (
This is a local place near the water in my town and I’ve never had a bad meal here. I really like the roof top seating when you can get it. Really nice atmosphere and the service is top notch!
Love the rooftop and the cocktails. Great atmosphere.
Environment was super loud. Hard time talking and service was really slow. The Tower dessert was fun for a crowd celebrating
Our party really enjoyed dinner, the staff was amazing and management was very accommodating!
the half a bird might be the best chicken i`ve ever had comes with veggies and potatoes.excellent dish i probably should try something else there but it`s so good.
The drinks were watered down. Food was good. But that was the only thing. Will not be going back
All good and didn’t rate higher because felt uncomfortable with the amount of people that were in the restaurant
Just way too loud!! It was unbearable honestly. Some rowdy guys knocked over our lovely server who was carrying a drink. They didn’t apologize and the manager did nothing. Upsetting!!
Our server was so sweet and the food was delicious. We won’t be returning because it was just extremely loud.
Service was great as usual
Went to celebrate my boyfriend birthday, we had a great time food was amazing. Love this place!!!!
Amazing food . The coconut shrimp was to die for ....had to order a second order . Music and vibe in general was great. I’ll be back very soon.
Great atmosphere. Prompt, polite, attentive service.
Great food as always
The food was amazing! It came out in a timely fashion and was worth every penny. Our server and bartender, Danny, was especially exceptional. Perfect place for a get together or date night.
Brunch was great! Recommend the brunch platter. Service wasn’t the most attentive, but the place is busy.
They did a great job as people are starting to come back to in-house dining.
Barley touched both our meals, for the price we were highly disappointed.
Eric and Emily were great at helping me make my girlfriends birthday amazing but they also helped her on the same day surprise me with an engagement ring yes, she proposed. Everything and everyone at this restaurant were amazing and when you go get a blue whale drink you'll love it.. I recommend sign of the whale to everyone.
This place is amazing for Sunday brunch. Live DJ playing great music and the atmosphere is energetic. I'll definitely be back!
Food was good. Music was great! Waiter was really nice. They ran out of a lot of food selections b/c the previous day was a holiday but the waitress guided us through the menu for alternatives.
Made a reservation to eat here for Valentine’s Day the host didn’t really confirm our reservation just kinda placed us at table top. I read the reviews online and checked out the website before the place was marketed at a nice sit down restaurant by the water. But it was not the music was so loud! You wouldn’t be able to talk to your party and for a Valentine’s Day date it was just not the vibe we where going for. We walked in sat for 2 mins and then left. Don’t get me wrong I love a nice loud bar but not on Valentine’s Day. Don’t market as a classy restaurant if your more of a sports bar. The food could be great, but no food is worth enduring auditory torture to enjoy.
