   We arrived 45 min before our reservation time for lunch. Very appreciative that they let us through the gates so we can explore the gift shop and their grounds. The restaurant was perched on a hill over looking the beautiful ocean. The view was really wonderful. The service was lovely from beginning to end. The food was delicious! It’s a special place for a special occasion.

   Felt like a wonderful procession from the reception are up the stairs and through the tunnel-like entry. Food was very good and so was the hostessing and service. And of course the view was out of this world.

   It’s obvious why the restaurant is highly awarded. The menu was diverse, technical, and packed with unique flavors. The setting is beyond perfect. Perched just above some of the best ocean views, enveloped in an architecture that reflects the natural shape of the hillside, and brimming with local charm. Our crew especially enjoyed the time we spent at the bar before heading to our table. The bartenders were quite knowledgeable about the history and vision of the property. Their cocktails were equally complex and delectable as the menu, incorporating many housemade components. Would recommend. And will try to return soon.

   Hands down the best oysters I have ever had! WE had the prix fixe with the wine paring. Every course seemed like it couldn't get any better and then it did. Ingredients were so fresh and creative. The views of Big Sur from our table were also amazing and the server, though new, was attentive and friendly and helped make the event. I would go back in a heartbeat a thousand times.
