Sienna Ratings and Reviews
I was flying in from a end of a business trip back home into Sacramento airport and my shuttle driver told me about Sienna. So, my family and I came in for the Sunday brunch. It was a wonderful Sunday brunch. Our waiter, Thomas, was punctual and extremely polite and knowledgeable about the many varieties of food served at Sienna. The food was different and had more variety than most other places and was absolutely delicious!
Had an absolutely delightful time.
Our experience at Sienna was fantastic. The food was great. The Ahi appetizer was a great value. The wine list was notable with several great selections. We brought friends that had never been there, and they were so impressed that it will be a regular stop when returning from their home in the mountains. Great Job. Wait staff was outstanding. Young and energetic.
This was recommended by a neighbor who said it would be good for a birthday dinner. She was right! Everything was wonderful from start to finish. Our server, A.J. was awesome. We told him what kind of wine we like, he made a recommendation and it was spot on! We started off with the fried calamari. Excellent! I had the sea bass which was cooked to perfection. My husband had the pepper steak pasta dish that was accompanied by what looked like a soft breadstick with baked on Parmesan cheese. To die for! I wish we had room for dessert, but unfortunately we didn't. I will make sure I do next time. I already know what I'm going to get. Limoncello cheesecake. My husband has a good appetite and when we left, he was satisfied. I can't wait to go back again. When we were done with dinner, A.J. gave us tour of the place. Looking forward to trying their Chef's table sometime.
I was so excited to try this place. I brought my Dad for his birthday. The waiter was "cheesey" for lack of a better word. My Dad's skirt steak was chewy and salty. My halibut was a bit dry as was the cilantro rice. The halibut was actually fishy. Our salad had no taste and looked like it had been sitting out for a while. When the server brought our entrees, she waited for us to move our salad plates so she could put our entrees down in front of us. So disappointed to pay for a very poor experience and service.
We are 5 girlfriends who meet at different restaurants monthly, we had been here before and loved it so much we returned. We all loved our meals (scallop risotto, salmon and Mary's Chicken) and the outside seating was spectacular. We will definitely return.
The waiter forgot to put in our soup order, our table wasn't brought bread, either. We ordered two drinks, one was a sangria and the other was a cucumber drink, as well as two glasses of champagne. The drinks were all good.
I ordered the risotto made vegan, and it was decent. I wish the restauraunt had more vegan options, because it was basically rice and vegetables for like $25. I called earlier and was told the kitchen could alter numerous items to be made vegan. I would have been more satisfied with the meal if the vegan soup I ordered and the bread was brought. Every other table was brought bread.
The waiter was very nice, and made a big effort to check with the kitchen on what things could be made vegan. That was excellent. However, someone forgot to put in the order for the soup. My date got the pasta, and that was decent.
Overall, it was $100 for a nice atmosphere with friendly service, but the food experience, which is the most important, was subpar... I would come again, if the options were more diverse and the service was better.
We met friends there and started with drinks and appetizers outside--wonderful setting. We got cool when the sun went down and our waitress was very accommodating and moved us indoors for our main course. The food was good and we enjoyed our visit very much. Will be back.
It was a girls brunch date and we were all very excited to try Sienna! We have been there for a few happy hours, and dinners, but never together and never for Brunch. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect for our day out. The only feedback we had was that our server didn't seem to pay attention to us. We don't think it was intentional. We had a table in the corner of the restaurant and slightly hidden, also with it being brunch we understand that the servers are refilling beverages and clearing tables, not necessarily checking on a regular basis. We could have used a more consistent check-in with the mimosas and waters, but again, it was probably just the nature of the 'brunch'. We love Sienna and welcome the newest one being opened in Roseville! Thank you for bringing such a wonderful gem to the community.
I am not sure what was going on. The restaurant was not that busy except they must have had a big group in the back as it was very noisy back there. There seemed to be only two waiters and we were ignored for about 10 mins. Then it took another 10 to get our wine actually to the table. We ordered a bottle. She never came back to repour or ask how we were doing. The food was good as always. It was not the best experience, I hope its the last!!
Our server, Zach, was very good. He worked hard to get everything just right and communicated allergies to the kitchen right away. We are so happy to have this high quality restaurant so close to home.
I had the prime rib French dip sandwich with rosemary shoe-string fries. This was excellent and the portion, though it looked small, was actually home-made style bread packed with high quality meat. My husband had the Asian chicken salad and he says it had a good balance - the chicken was great and the dressing wasn't too tropical. It came in a huge bowl that was comfortable for him to work with as he tossed and ate.
We were very disappointed in the beer selection. With all the craft beers around, including two breweries right in EDH, we were hoping that it would be more creative. We were told that the Angel City IPA was a pint, but it was served in a 12 oz glass. They didn't even have an amber on tap. Coors Lite? Who taps Coors Lite in a high-end restaurant? I would be embarrassed even to say the name as a waiter.
The room was so dark and the typeface on the menu, a very light sienna color, was totally unreadable. Note to self, bring your lighted magnifier.
After a number of disappointing dinners on Valentine's Day at other restaurants, I decided to give our neighborhood Sienna a try. My wife and I have been to Sienna on a number of occasions but not on Valentine's Day. Well we were very pleased. The food was amazing (as always) and the service was outstanding. Our server was Kathy who was also the bartender ( as we were seated in the bar area as per our request) Well we never felt like we were forgotten and were given great service. Kudos Kathy. Thank you for renewing my faith on going out to dinner on Valentine's Day.
We chose this restaurant for Valentine's Day buffet brunch. Sienna is a pretty place, nice decor. The food presentation was lovely, but a few items were warm when they should have been hot, or chewy when they should not be. The desserts, however, were outstanding. Not a bad one in the bunch. Our server was personable, throughly explained the brunch menu, cleared the table of empty plates, and never let us see the bottom of our Mimosa glass. Great job!
Let me start by saying I sent a polite email to the Sienna management regarding this issue and received no reply prior to completing this survey.
We made reservations at Sienna on the Friday evening prior to Valentine's Day. The plan was to meet another couple, have dinner and then continue the evening elsewhere.
We were seated promptly, kindly greeted and then the night took a horrific turn. A staff member spilled two (2) full glasses of ice water down the back of a female in our party soaking her sweater and pants. The floor and table were mopped up however our table mate was left in a miserable condition for the remainder of the meal as you might imagine.
We never received a visit to our table from a manger or senior staff member and the staff decided that providing a free appetizer was sufficient to placate us. Our party was forced to end the Valentine's celebration night immediately after dinner due to the incident and our table mate who was soaked with ice water was forced to pay full price for her meal.
All in all a horrific incident and we will never return or recommend this establishment again unless the management reaches out to us in the future.
This was our second time visiting Sienna's for dinner. We went in the summer a couple of years ago, and the food was delicious. However, we were rather disappointed this time around. We ordered the calamari and Brie appetizers which were extremely tasty! So of course, we were anticipating wonderful entrees. That was not the case. The salmon was lacking flavor, potatoes and green beans ok. The peppercorn
steak pasta dish was a huge disappointment. What they did to the steak was cut it into small pieces and mix it with pasta. Not a good dish at all. I'm not sure we will go back anytime soon.
The Sunday Brunch buffet was delish, a wide variety of yummy dishes including everything from eggs Benedict to seafood dishes to the bottomless mimosas. The ambiance was lovely, I love the cozy fireplaces! The service was excellent. Our waiter, Isaac, was attentive and very personable. He went out of his way to make sure that my vegan daughter had plenty to eat. Thank you, Isaac! We will come again!
