Nice place for dinner. Excellent wait staff. Probably better Italian food in town for the same price.
Been here several time and each time it's awesome! I would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal that is reasonably priced. Its not just for a special occasion.
Loved the risotto
Gnoccchi's are also extremely tasty
Good choice for a couple seeking a delicious meal and a reasonable bill
My husband and I ate here this past week and had a great experience. The food was wonderful and our waiter Isiah was very knowledgable about the food and wine. We would definitely come back!
Our waiter Isaiah was knowledgeable, friendly and very hospitable! Great music, menu selection and overall ambiance. Looking forward to coming back soon.
My second visit to Sienna- I love the food. Staff is always accommodating and the atmosphere is fun and classy.
The homemade pasta was the nicest touch. Flavors were awesome, great ambiance. Excellent.
We find ourselves at Sienna often, so you could say it’s our favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh. It’s close to the theater district and that’s great, but the food is what keeps us coming back. Creative, comforting, delicious and reasonably-priced are good descriptors. The service is friendly and it’s also nice and quiet inside.
Great butter nut squash soup & argrula salad. Waitress & other staff were very friendly
We were seated at our reservation time and promptly interested to our waiter. Waiter was knowledge of offerings and me recombinations which were very good. Service and food matched on quality.
Liked the renovations. Food and service great.
Our first visit since they began serving Brunch. Interesting and delicious. As always, excellent meals all the way around.
Food was awesome! Espresso martinis are amazing. Service was awkward. He didn’t connect with us so it just felt super off. When we asked questions about the drink menu, he couldn’t answer them and we asked for extra bread three times and had to get another severe attention to get it.
Our waitress decided it was appropriate to have a 20/25 minute conversation with the table next to us, as opposed to getting our meals. Someone else had to bring them as they were ready. She never brought bread over as we requested, & never replenished our empty water bottle. Highly disappointed. A 5/10 minute conversation with customers... I understand. How ever 25 minutes and ignoring your other tables, unacceptable.
Had the roasted chicken and my husband had the lemon spaghetti. Amazing. Sat on the patio, great service.
Had a great dinner with friends. The food excellent, but pricey. Dig difference between the lunch and dinner menu.
Love sienna every time. The new brunch is a great addition to downtown!
Wine was a bit expensive... not many reasonably priced options but it was good... some meals were pricey but were really flavorful... great over all experience
Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The only negative was a limited gluten-free menu.
Our waitress was fabulous. She was great with timing and with suggestions.
We were there for a family dinner. The staff was attentive and friendly, knowledgeable of the menu. Terrific food, with unique choices. Recommended!
I guess I expected more. The food was mediocre - I don't think either of us finished anything we ordered. We did order a lot - one appetizer, one salad, two entrees, four drinks, one dessert, one coffee - but the $150 total plus tip seemed REALLY high.
Our server was Grace, and she was fantastic!
Will definitely be returning again!
My favorite restaurant in Market Square. We had Eric, who went above and beyond waiting on us, suggesting various dishes and working the room like nobody's business! (But then, the staff at Sienna is always accommodating.) As for the food, you have the meatballs, for which Sienna is known, and a small but flavorful assortment of entrees that cover a range of tastes. I've never been disappointed!
Isaiah was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to help me and my family decide on the perfect entrees and wine pairings. Food was incredible and came out fast! Will definitely return.
Love this place!
Great business lunch
I took an employee to a going away lunch and we had a great meal, with great service. We both ordered sandwiches and our food was tremendous. The service was and is always great as well
Our waiter, Isaiah, was very knowledgeable and professional. He made it a very enjoyable experience. Didnt feel rushed. Food was outstanding.
Generally very good. Braciole was outstanding. Our server was a recent transplant from LA, which I found interesting. I found the Restaurant Week panna cotta rock hard and not up the the quality of the rest of the meal. If I found myself in Pittsburgh I'd try Sienna again - but I'd definitely pass on the Panna Cotta!
My only complaint was that we had a very small table for 4 so it was very crammed when we got our appetizers.
In all points it was a good but unremarkable experience. Appealing pictures of dishes on the websites have nothing in common with the dishes that were served to us. The food was bland and nothing really impressed and make a mark in your memory so you'd want to come back for more. Just another touristy trap spot.
Reservation process worked without a hitch, we were seated immediately. We sat outside on the sidewalk. The sidewalk is sloped and the chairs were metal, so a bit uncomfortable. Ordered the salads, they were fresh, lots of ingredients and the dressings were very good. I ordered the bolognese, the pasta was chewy and the sauce was a bit overbearing and bitter. My friend ordered the clam linguine. The clams did not come in the shell and were clearly NOT fresh. Very chewy and not palatable. With so many great foodie options in downtown Pittsburgh we were disappointed in dining our one meal on our way through at Sienna unfortunately.
Waitress was not personable at all. It was almost felt that we were a nuisance or a bother to her. Then when I went to pay with the corporate credit card she actually smiled at me and was somewhat pleasant. I can honestly say I’ve never felt so uncomfortable from a server before.
Our server, Zoey, was outstanding. It is few and far between that you experience her level of professionalism. - friendly, knowledgeable, inobtrusive.
Sienna on the Square used to be one of my favorites in Market Square. The last two times I have been in for a meal the result has been disappointing. Food quality is still solid. Service has really fallen off. And, the host/hostess attention is at an all time low. First impression is the host/hostess interaction and this is broken. I hope Sienna can recover from this overall decline, but I will have to wait sometime before I go back. Given the current direction, the place may close before I do cycle back.
Lunch service was quick
Our reservation noted a request for outside seating. It was a beautiful day. The host set a lovely table for us in advance so we could enjoy the day.
This was our first visit to Sienna On the Square. Everything was excellent....the food, our server, the ambiance....Excellent! We'll definitely go back the next time we're in town!
We were visiting Pittsburgh for the weekend and simply found Sienna On the Square by chance...and we were quite pleased we did.
The food was excellent. Our server, Isiah, I believe, was a pleasure to work with. He was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He provided detailed descriptions of our options, which were quite helpful.
We will recommend Sienna On the Square to anyone we know planning a visit Pittsburgh; or to anyone we encounter who happens to live in/around Pittsburgh.
We have enjoyed Sienna on the Square in the past. It’s got a great location, a fun vibe, friendly and knowledgeable servers, and well-prepared, tasty food. The only negative in the past was a somewhat cliche Italian menu. Now, the menu is fresh and creative without abandoning the classics. We really enjoyed the zucchini toast, classic Caesar salad, and scallops served on a risotto with fava beans and chanterelles. Really delicious dinner!
