Siena - Smithfield Ratings and Reviews
When we arrived we were told we were no shows because the Open Table reservations they had on their computer listed my reservation for 5:30. I have a confirmation from Open Table for 6 on my phone. Also on our way to the restaurant I received a reminder we were due at Siena at 6. This has happened to me before, I love the restaurant but I was a bit embarrassed when there was confusion about the time. Open Table please look into this.
What an fantastic night. Went there to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating., from the girls at the receptionist desk down to the waitress. The food and drinks were delicious and tasty. 5 out of 5, I must add. The ambiance was very cozy and warm as we sat by the fire. One of the best experiences that I have had at any Siena restaurants. Bravo and thank you again. I look forward to returning.
We got a gift card for Christmas and decided to use it for our wedding anniversary. We are familiar with Siena from Atwells but hadn’t tried it yet. The Smithfield location was beautiful with a great Italian ambience. We luckily had a reservation made which came in handy despite the cold and snowy evening. The service and food was great, with the server being attentive and knowledgeable about the specials and wine selections. Great overall visit and can’t wait to come back again!
My husband and I ate here before the theater. It was a pleasant and comfortable experience. Everything was timed perfectly. Never felt rushed. The food was excellent. We will definitely go back.
Using Open Table to make the reservation was an excellent idea.
Left hungry. Short ribs were tasty but overall portions of meat and risotto were small. My wife ordered a chicken dish that was so dry it was inedible. Waitress took item off the bill. Drinks were ample and well presented. Service was sensational. Appetizer was very good and well presented. Very noisy - could not carry on a coherent conversation and had to have waitress repeat the specials a few times. Layout of restaurant has excellent possibilities. Our two guests were somewhat pleased with their meals (fish and shellfish). Again, portions were small.
I would not recommend this restaurant. When I booked a table online, with over a week notice, I requested a booth. When I went into the restaurant, I was told that booths need to be reserved for four persons. The booths were empty. Before I left, I saw three separate couples sitting at booths!! I was lied to outright.
The food was so-so; the cappuccino was lukewarm. There were no refils on a $3.00 soda, even though the glass was small and filled with ice! It was awful.
I’ve been to Siena on Federal Hill as well as here in Smithfield. The food and service were excellent. The ambiance is very classy. I requested a specific table in front of the fireplace in the dining room. My request was honored and my date and I had a lovely evening! Thank you to everyone at Siena for making our night very memorable!
Enjoyed our night at Siena with friends! Love the arch martini. The dessert with the dough boys and gelato was to die for. Our service was great, our Waitress was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely recommend Siena to others and we will be returning ourselves very soon! Thank you HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
Waited 20 minutes for a table once we got there. Food was good. Appetizers and deserts were delivered to the wrong table. Food runners and servers seemed to be disorganized. Cappuccino was served cold (machine was broken.)
Not their best night but we’ll be back.
I have been to Siena in Providence and loved this one in Smithfield as well. Menu differs a little but food is just as delicious. The only drawback is the seating for couples is right next to each other along a long bench on one side creating less privacy for dates.
