Always a great meal with great friendly service!
The food was good. We were a little disappointed by the fact that the pasta is not fresh. The pasta in the Rigatoni alla Noricina were broken up. The flavor was good though. Our waitress was good. However, she forgot one of the desserts and a couple of drinks. I also mentioned when I booked the reservation that it was an anniversary dinner, and 2 birthday celebrations. It wasn't even acknowledged. We haven't decided if we'd be back or not.
We went on a very busy weekend so the service was a bit slow. Chicken parm was very good. The fish was mediocre.
We eat at Siena about six times each year. While the food is always great and the service is generally very good, it is frustrating that we always get a noisy table. I consistently make a reservation and request a quiet table and we are always seated up front near the kitchen entrance. We may need switch to another restaurant based on their inability to never honor a simple request.
Excellent! Always a fabulous meal! Never disappointed! Service is too notch! Our favorite restaurant!
The service, ambiance and food were all lovely and the prices were very reasonable. We enjoyed it very much.
Celebrated 50th anniversary that they knew about thought they would at least comp a dessert like capital Grille did for my friend
Awesome as ever. That said the service was slow to start. We sat in the back and waited a bit too long before our drinks to come. It got better after that.
Our meal, service and valet service were excellent. The noise level was VERY LOUD to the point that it was difficult to have a conversation.
As always the food and service was excellent. Sienna is a dining experience I truly recommend.
Great food. Family gathering the day after my daughter’s wedding. Spot on! The server was great and very sweet besides. She just got engaged! So perfect 👌
better than I expected. Very different menu with some excellent choices. Took our granddaughter there to celebrate her new apartment and we all enjoyed it very much.
What a great restaurant, have tried going there for months but it never worked. Finally made it there and wow what a treat. Food and waitstaff are terrific. Will definitely be back. Our new Federal Hill favorite.
Surprised that the bread basket was only served with butter and not olive oil...guess we should have asked. Caprese looked pretty as it was served, all stacked up, but the balsamic drizzle only covered the 1st slice of mozzarella, leaving the rest kind of dry, also the basil not the freshest we've ever had. The pork chop entree more than made up for the mediocre appetizer as it was nice and thick, cooked to perfection with a great bone! Unfortunately the chicken Milanese was rather dry, even with a squeeze of lemon, but the oven baked eggplant side more than made up for the dry chicken...one of the best eggplant parms I've had. No room for dessert.
We came to Siena on a friend’s recommendation and did not regret it. Everyone from the hostess to valet were friendly and attentive. The food was spectacular! We had zuppa di clams, tagliatelle bolognese, a NY strip that melted in our mouths and delicious specialty desserts. Highly recommend! We’ll be back!!
Second time to visit. Not so good this time. Had an early reservation. Had an extra guest. Parents weekend and daughters friend was alone so brought her along. When we got to the restaurant they said they could not accommodate us. Increase from 4 to 5 people. After much figuring out they offered to sit one at the bar. Not near our table. There was plenty room at our table to squeeze one more in. We checked with the neighboring tables If they were ok with squeezing an extra at our table. (They didn’t) we figured it out. Hostess gave us so much attitude. Waiter was lovely but service was slow. Also we had asked the waiter to offer dessert to our neighboring table as a thank you. She never did! Will think twice about returning.
Very good service!!
Great atmosphere. Everyone in our group loved their meals!
Have had so many great meals at Siena - not sure if it was the night or just going down hill. The food and the service left much to be desired. The famed balsamic calamari were so fishy they even made the manager’s face turn (2 bad orders). The rosemary chicken was rough and dry, and despite our careful instruction our server could not bring the bottle of wine we ordered. We have never waited longer for drinks. We really love Siena - I certainly hope this was an exception to otherwise good place but I certainly won’t be rushing back either.
We arrived and immediately upon entering felt as if we were a bother. We had a reservation for 4 but only 2 arrived, explained that the other couple was tied up
In a meeting and was unsure if they would make it. Was made to feel uncomfortable.
Seated at a table for 4 and when waitress approached and was told that we would put drinks and appetizers in and others may not show, she appeared annoyed and short.
This is not the feeling that I wanted to have for my birthday. After our drink and cheese board, we decided to leave and go to the Siena in Smithfield.
We wasted time, money and were made to feel poorly at the Providence location. (My husband also felt this way)
I will not be dining at this location again.
Fantastic from start to finish. Wonderful specials offered.
Best swordfish in R.I.-fresh, moist and delicious! Terrific meal served by our terrific waitress Kayla. Loved the doughboy dessert - unique and delicious!
Great place for a fabulous dining experience.
Arrived on time for our 8:30 reservation. Told the hostess we were here. She smiled and went on to other things. When we saw two seats at the bar we asked if we could take those instead (had no idea when we'd actually be seated at a table). Would not characterize the the food as northern Italian (which is why we chose this restaurant). My wife ordered the Penne alla Vodka with chicken and I ordered the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese. Both 'uggh'. I really have to wonder if anyone that cooks at Siena has ever been to Italy.
Absolutely wonderful!! Don’t bring outside food like a birthday cake
Amazing food and service. Not rushed. Wait staff very knowledgeable. Enjoyed our experience
We had heard about this restaurant by word of mouth. We had tried to get in once before, but were unable to. Siena was true its reputation. We started with the Calamari. This was spicey and unique and was a nice way to start our experience. The Bolognese was excellent and just the right amount! The swordfish was very good too. We finished the night with the Tiramisu. The presentation was different, in that it was laced in chocolate. We enjoyed it. The service was great starting with our host and it continued with our server. Overall we plan on coming back. Siena adds value the neighborhood and is a great representation of the city of Providence and the state of Rhode Island!
Everything from the pumpkin pizza appetizer to the main course Halibut special was amazing. Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend this restaurant!
Sydney was our most delightful server.... the food and service was awesome. I had the special seasonal pizza , pumpkin, chestnut, fig base, cheeses and I added mixed mushrooms to the top. It was the bomb!!! So delish. Also had the Harvest sangria. Very delish. Everyone’s dish was amazing! 2 of us took the train down from Boston and other two drove from Cape Cod! Well worth it!! Thank you for another great experience.
Food was amazing service was great ambiance was spot on. We definitely are going back and recommend it!!!!
Very very pleased with my stay, greeted at the door, server was great, food was excellent and prices were as expected. The only issue was the seating was very tight besides that I was pleased and will return!
From the time we walked in the door until leaving all the Siena staff encountered was outstanding, including our server Sydney. The food was exceptionally delicious. The atmosphere and noise level in the back room was perfect.
Great atmosphere with excellent service. The pasta is very good. Nice wine list too!
Our party of four were pleased overall except for the SeaScallops being a tad dry and Creme Brûlée too cold. Would still recommend this restaurant ‼️
Our server, Sydney, was fantastic! She was sweet, friendly, knowledgeable and completely spot on with her service. Our food was excellent and portion sizes were perfect. The dining was a bit crowded with tables pretty close together would really be only complaint. We would definitely come back and will recommend to friends.
2nd time, and it was just as fabulous as the first !! I can't wait to go back, the lemon blueberry creme brule was the cherry on top !!!
Thank you to Siena and Susan, our waitress - we had a wonderful evening celebrating my Birthday!!!
The quiet room is in the back room up a few steps. No view or windows but decidedly more tranquil than the front. Balsamic calamari a standout starter. Desserts, especially the budino, are delicious. Attentive, informed service.
Excellent food and service! Yummy martinis.
