Siena - East Greenwich Ratings and Reviews
Siena was fantastic! We haven't had a dining experience like that in a long time. The ambiance was great, the staff were friendly from the moment we walked in, our waiter was knowledgeable and did an excellent job in describing the specials ( Even though I knew I didn't like some of the things he was describing, he did such a good job that I was second guessing myself!). The food was incredible - the best Italian food I have ever eaten. I sampled everyone's food and that is saying something because my own entree was huge. Overall, I will recommend Siena to everyone. Selfishly, I have hesitations because I want this to remain a hidden gem but it is just too good not to share. We will be back way too often I am sure!
Always delicious and well presented. Wait staff is always helpful and paying attention without hovering. Yummy specials. Brought family from California for some authentic Italian. Nothing very good where they live. They were so impressed and loved every bite. Always fun to introduce friends and family to Siena. Never disappointed! Thank you!
Everything was awful, we were first brought to a dirty table which was just an accident then brought back to that table seated in an extra long booth awkwardly close to couples on each side. I did not want to hear their conversations and I also did not want them to hear my conversation with my wife. We ordered drinks but the appetizers were brought out before the drinks and when the drinks finally arrived they were both so bad neither my wife or I could even drink them. The food was so so. Everything (except for the drinks) was brought out right on top of each other even after we asked the waitress to space it out. We spent a total of 45 minutes at the table and felt rushed. Also sat in extremely bright uncomfortable lighting. Won’t ever be returning. On the plus side the waitress was pleasant and sweet.
This was our second time visiting Siena. The waitress was delightful but we did get the feeling that there was a push to get us fed and out of the door as quickly as possible. The food was excellent as was the presentation. Some of the seating was tight. It is hard to relax and have a private conversation.
This is the first time I cannot give this restaurant a good review. I ordered filet mignon and it was overcooked and dried out. They would not give a different vegetable because I do not like green beans with steak. the place was very noisy and they had air condition on and the restaurant was very cold. Sorry but I guess I won't be returning for a while.
Siena was the perfect spot to entertain relatives visiting from out of state. First, a special thanks to the hostess for fulfilling my seating request. The wine pairings and the menu/special appetizers were the perfect selections for the pasta and beef entrees that followed. Outstanding service and dining/drinking selections that never disappoint!!
We had a perfect dinner at Siena East greenwich. Even though we were seated at a small table for two, between two other like tables, it was very easy to converse without hearing their conversations as well. Penne with chicken and pink vodka sauce was A+ as was Rigatoni with a spicy sausage ragout. Service was excellent as well. Plenty of leftovers to be enjoyed at home, too.
Our dinner at Siena was excellent. We were seated in a requested area which was very pleasant. Our server greeted us and proceeded to handle herself beautifully. We were not rushed and enjoyed a relaxing meal! As it was a birthday celebration, we were treated to a lovely dessert. It was a lovely evening!
Siena is an upscale experience without upscale prices and "snootiness." My wife and I tried Siena two years ago after it was recommended by friends and it has become our favorite restaurant - if we're going out to eat, chances are we're going to Siena.
Spouse and I had the special red wine recommended by the waitress which was perfect. I ordered the special entree salmon and it was delicious. Spouse had the veal that he usually gets and raves about. We also had a board appetizer- great. And topped off the evening with a special dessert again most excellent and chocolate torte. Lots of food yes, but for a special occasion we splurged and totally enjoyed everything. Waitress was great!!!!
The Siena Group must be doing something right. This was my 3rd dining experience within a week that began on a Saturday evening at their Smithfield location, then Sunday evening in Providence prior to the theater, and finally for a birthday/anniversary dinner on a Wednesday evening in East Greenwich. All of their food offerings are consistent regardless of the location so that one is never disappointed when ordering a favorite, such as their bolognese (pasta and/or pizza) or their specials for filet mignon! TOTAL SATISFACTION!!
As always, Siena was well worth our visit. This is my favorite restaurant in RI due to the upscale, energetic ambience, the beautiful decor, the excellent service at both the bar and during dining and best quality ingredients used to prepare wonderful and creative dishes. The wine list is perfect and the drinks are always perfectly prepared. We spend no more at this restaurant than we would at any other restaurant in this class and the food and service is always so much better. Come to Siena but make your reservation early. They fill up fast for a reason!
Disappointed that our Open Table reservation did not assure us of a table in the wine cellar (rotunda) area but rather seated right by the swinging doors to and from the kitchen as well as next to the energetic bar area. Hard to hold a decent dinner conversation at this table. Remember to ask for a table in the wine cellar next time. Dinner portions very adequate but swordfish looked a little lost on such a large dinner plate. Cod very tasty but not expecting tomato sauce from the menu description. Saltimbocca portion very abundant. Tiramisu one of the best.
