Siena - East Greenwich
Our server Stephanie was the best. All three of our dishes were delicious.
Visited Siena for dinner, no special occasion. All four of us had great meals! Siena is a gem!
I had the pasta special with lobster and shrimp. It was delish. Hubby had the scallops. He said they were outstanding. We also split the chocolate cake and it was great too. My only complaint is that it was too cold near our table. Overall a great meal!
I have dined here many times and have never been disappointed. Amazing food, wine and cocktails, knowledgeable and attentive servers.
This was my first time. The service and the food were fantastic.
Overall very good. Went on Wednesday night. I was there a couple of weeks ago on a Friday night and it was better.
We went for restaurant week and we were anticipating a wonderful meal, based on friends who have been. Food was very good- high quality, presented beautifully, prepared perfectly. Ivy, our waitress was as warm as can be and highly attentive. Food was a little slow coming out though, and completely not her fault. Some surprise in the fact that we hadn't received full sized portions of Polpete and carrot cake??? When looking at the menu, I realized that pricing for restaurant week wasn't any savings, so why the concession on size?? That diminished our experience somewhat.
This is the 2nd time we’ve been to this location and had the same problem. We asked that the filet be butterflied and cooked very well done. Like the last time, we had to send it back only to still have it cooked incorrectly. They did take it off the bill.
Great menu selection! Wonderful service!
A bit noisy resturant was full but we were in a quieter section.
Siena has always had a great reputation for both its service and food, but Saturday something was off. The server didn't miss a beat, but clearly the chef did. Filet specials were a hit among the men at our table, but the veal, short rib, and desserts fell short across the board. Short rib was extremely under seasoned and risotto overcooked, veal dry and included few mushrooms, and the pumpkin creme brulee was essentially a pumpkin pie filling (nothing custard like about it). Better off going to the other reputable restaurant down the street.
Great restaurant in general. Food is delicious and servers are polite, cheerful and accommodating. I always enjoy dining at Siena. Great restaurant and food!
Our table was not ready when we arrived, so my husband went to the bar to grab us a drink and found 2 bar seats next to each other, so we decided to eat there as the place was packed and it sounded like it would be a while before we could be seated. Amanda was our bartender and server and was fabulous. Very professional and worked very well under pressure - serving the bar folks drinks and full meals, as well as attending to the floor servers' drink needs. Have been to this restaurant many times, but never sat at the bar. Loved it! And we were told we would still get our points from Open Table! Can't beat it!
Go there about once every other month and food and service are always top notch.
My wife and I made dinner reservations at Siena East Greenwich to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We heard such good reviews that we decided to try it. So, this was our first visit. The following are our own personal opinions based on this visit.
First, I don't believe this is the place for a romatic dinner, particularly on a Friday evening. The tables are very close together and the restaurant very, very noisy. It was difficult to hear my wife from across the small table and to speak up meant people at neighboring tables could listen in on the conversation. Why even identify a special occasion in Open Table when there is no effort made to make it special, e.g., sitting us in a quieter section, especially when we identified our anniversary in the dinner reservation? Also, I was seated right across from a overly bright and annoying wall decoration that looked more like a Rorschack inkblot. The decoration did nothing to add ambience but did produce an annoying glare that it made it difficult to see my wife across the small table.
Second, the cost for a decent bottle of wine can be expensive, so, instead, we had one glass each. Third, we shared two appetizers: Involtini Melazane and the Polpetta Grande. The Involtini Melazane was excellent while the Polpetta Grande was fairly tasteless and seemed like a large ball of meatloaf shaped into a meatball and covered with a tomato sauce. For salads, we ordered two Insalata di Inverno; both salads were excellent. For entrees, my wife and I shared the Ravioli di Zucca and the Rigatoni del Calzolaio. The Ravioli was excellent while the Rigatoni was totally unremarkable. Finally, for dessert we shared the Zucca Crème Brulee. We believe this was an attempt to add pumpkin flavor to the traditional Crème Brulee. In our opinion, Siena should stick with the traditional receipt because we don't believe the Zucca was very good.
Excellent service and delicious food.
Not great. Stale bread. Raw pork.
We've been here several times and were always very satisfied with the service and food, this time they fell short in several areas. Specifically, the wait staff was fair, portions were small, what was served was not what was described, the additional bread asked for wasn't delivered until we asked again 30 minutes later, the quality of the Filet (beef) in the special was only fair. We were told our feedback was shared with the Manager which we thought might prompt a visit to our table by the manager but no one came to hear first hand why we were dissatisfied. We can get this level of service and quality at a lower price, thus will likely not be back any time soon.
Food was good and at a fair price Food was good and at a fair price
Never disappointed at this amazing restaurant
Delicious food and great service!
Made a last minute reservation. We were happily accommodated. Eat here frequently and it is always excellent in all regards. This restaurant feels like I stepped back in time to my Nonni's kitchen. Insanely good Italian cuisine.
We have spent birthdays, anniversaries, New year's eve etc at the East Greenwich Sienna. The service with Kirsten was excellent but the food wasn't as good as it usually is. The calamari were chewy and had more hot peppers than calamari. The 3 orders of veal chop were filled with fat. The fillets for 34.00 were too small. We may not return again.
Food was absolutely amazing and service was outstanding as always!
Another delightful meal with friends - from the appetizers & cocktails to the dinner entree specials & menu selections and after dinner drinks & desserts. This Siena location never disappoints and always gives us a reason to return!
Excellent food, excellent, attentive service & wonderful atmosphere. My wife and I enjoyed a great meal.
First time going, figured I’d try it out since I had the gift card. Was totally worth the drive as well as the money. Great atmosphere, food, and drinks. Was offered a drink upon walking in, they took my jacket, then seated within a couple minutes (with reservation). Waitress Diana was wonderful. Props!
We had a reservation for 6:15 and were told we would have to wait but we were able to sit and eat at the bar.
Food was delicious but we were all surprised at the small portions. Likely best for us but rather surprised.
Service was superb!
Great food service and ambiance would definitely recommend and will dine there again
Second year in a row we had a family or Christmas dinner at Sienna's. The menu is creative, the drinks superb and the ambience delightful. Quiet enough for conversation. Highly recommended.
Our first time at Siena in East Greenwich and it was great! We usually go to the one in Smithfield, which is closer to our home, and have never been disappointed by the food and service. We started with a tasting board, enjoyed our entrees, but had no room, though, for dessert! Next time! We will be back!
Food is always fantastic and the service is second to none. We each had something different and all were fantastic. We celebrated my birthday with great food, fine wine, and family. Great place for all!
Food was delicious, but it was a very cold night and we got seated right next to the door had a cold draft all night, just a bummer we drove over 45 min to go there for our Anniversary and were freezing all night
Siena is our "go-to" spot for special occasion dining -- this time a wedding anniversary. Food and ambiance are consistently high quality.
Brought my wife in for her birthday. Staff had my flower arrangement already on the table with a birthday card to her from Sienna signed by staff. Our server was knowledgeable, well spoken & the perfect amount of engaging. just terrific.
Great service and great food. Creative food and wine pairings. Sienna does not disappoint.
We had a great experience. Our server, Ivy, was attentive without being overly so. We started with calamari fritti. They use a lighter batter so it isn’t as filling as you will find elsewhere. I had the veal chop. My sons had bolognese and gnocchi and my wife had short ribs. Their bolognese is the best!!!! My son had the banana cheese cake which was great
Dinner was fabulous
But freezing at the restaurant
It was very crowded and the food took a very long time
We asked for a quiet table and got it. Kate was an excellent server. I would return in a nanosecond.
