Siena - East Greenwich Ratings and Reviews
Warned about noise level. Tucked back in corner by bathrooms, so as unpleasant as the seating was it was far more quiet there. Waitress forgot us for a while. Could have easily coaxed me into another glass of wine. Opportunity lost.
As a returning diner many times over this rates as one of my favorite destinations. Start with one of the tasting boards and make sure you leave room for one of the many outstanding desserts. Between the two whatever you choose for an entree, you will not be disappointed as I have sampled many of them over time. One caveat... this place is very popular so booking a reservation in advance for Fridays and Saturdays is a must. Enjoy!
Overall our experience was pretty positive. The only complaints we would give, is food portion. I ordered the braised beef, and the meat itself was a good size. However, there was supposed to be risotto underneath, which was absolutely delicious, but there was only about 3 tablespoons smeared underneath the meat. My boyfriend ordered what seemed like a seafood stew. He said it was delicious, however, there was a lobster tail in the middle, and it had absolutely no meat on it. It was pointless for it to be there. There was also supposed to be pieces of fish in there but he was disappointed to find that instead of a large piece of fish underneath the seafood, it was just a large piece of bread. Like I said, the food was delicious, but definitely a let down for the price we paid.
Very bad set up, if you have to wait you are right on top of people that are eating. No place to sit and wait when there is no room at the bar. Very cramped you have to eat your meal right on top of one another. Service was horrible out waitress had table on the other side of the place and it took her forever to bring us our order! Food was mediocre and pricey. Won’t be returning!
I can't give 5 stars because restaurant week and it was all or nothing. We were a large party and not everyone wanted restaurant week we were told everyone had to have it or no one could . I have never had this happen before and was very disappointed. Some people have dietary or caloric restrictions and could not do the menu while others could not enjoy it..i did speak with manager next day but too late for our dinner, He said we could have, confusing and very disappointing, I hope the revisit this for the future
Oh Lord, how does one describe perfection? I know... Siena! East Greenwich restaurant was delish. Entire meal from service by Jeff (who is at the top of his game), wait staff, included, to red wine special to appetizer, entrees (filetto de manzo, sword fish with lump crab as well as Penne with prosciutto, peas et al). Don't believe any review that is not at least 4 stars at this establishment. We have never, in the 10 years we've been going, had a bad experience in any of the areas that are measured.
My first experience dining here and the Italian food was fabulous both in taste and presentation! I especially loved the creamed cabbage side with my salmon entree, quite different. Dessert was divine. Service was very attentive. Music was relaxing. I would definitely come again!
food was excellent and portions surprisingly great especially since we used the restaurant week menu. our only complaint was that the waitress, though very nice and friendly, seemed to rush us through and at dessert didn't ask if we wanted coffee...we had to ask then rushed the bill to us....as we were leaving we didn't see her, so we assume that she was leaving and that was the cause for the rush but to be honest, it kind of put a damper on the wonderful evening with friends.
We usually love this restaurant, but we were seated next to restrooms and it was very cold, never sat in that section before and. Hopefully never will again!! Food was delicious and our waiter Jeff was very good. It was not that cold outside can't imagine if it was!! Just could not get comfortable.
We came to Siena because it was Restaurant week and the deals were just to good to pass up.
the food was very good and our server (Emily) was very helpful when we asked about the wines. It's nice to see David Bruce Pinto Noir - you don't find that many places!
Relatives in town for New Year's Weekend. Since we love Siena in EG we made early reservations for 5:30pm on 12/30/17 since we had a sitter at home that needed to be relieved by 8:00pm. Food was superb! We all raved about our appetizers and entrees. Party of Seven adults. Big bar bill. Food came out hot and fast. Server was good. The only issue was with the check. We had a $100 prepaid VISA card we asked her to apply and then split the check in half since 2 of the husbands were paying for dinner. When we received the 2 checks, I immediately noticed that the $100 Prepaid VISA card was not applied. It took awhile until we saw the waitress to call her to the table and bring attention to the bill. To make a long story short, the bill finally got fixed, but it took almost a half hour and we were late getting home and our sitter was not happy since she herself had dinner plans. If the waitress paid more attention to the bill before it was brought to us, I would have given the service a higher rating. Fortunately I caught the $100 error but in cases where people are having several alcoholic beverages and need to get going, they may not have caught the error. We are frequent guests at this Siena and would highly recommend it and look forward to returning. Just review your check carefully and you should be a happy diner!
