Siena at The Courtyard Ratings and Reviews
I visit Siena on a regular basis but I will take a break since I was very disappointed yesterday. My Pear salad had no Pear and our waitress was awful, never checking on us to ask how our meal tasted, no water refills and we had to find her so that we could pay our bill. When I mentioned to her that my salad had no pears she smiled and said "oh I will let the kitchen know".
I was looking for a dining experience that would be memorable. And that it was. My date and I were meeting for the first time. For a great romantic dinner This place was suggested. It was better then I had hoped for. We talked for 30 minutes before even looking at the menu. Never felt rushed by our server.
The specials were told to us in a professional and fun way. Everything from our drinks to our dinner and coffee were amazing. I work at a local Hotel and Siena in the Courtyard has just hit the top of my list for Restaurants to recommend. Thanks again to the staff for a wonderful evening.
Monday night dinner with reservations. Table was ready. Server greeted us promptly and took initial drink and apps order.
Server suggested some of the specials. We ordered the specials (basically Chicken Alfredo with veggies). One ordered the crusted Halibut.
Despite repeated assurances that our meals would be up soon, it took nearly an hour to get our dishes. In the meanwhile, drink refills were very slow.
The food, once it arrived, was nothing special. The Halibut would have been a better choice.
The server did comp our desserts.
Summary: Nice atmosphere. Initial service good. Delays unacceptable. Food par. Expensive for what was delivered. Would have expected a manager to stop by knowing we waited as long as we did.
We girlfriends really enjoyed eating in the courtyard on a beautiful day. The food was really good. My only suggestion would be to offer perhaps smaller portions for dessert at a lower price. I could have used something a little sweet, but I didn't want a full dessert, especially at $8.50.
We recently heard from 2 different people about Siena so we decided we had to try it. We live about 25 miles away but we were not disappointed in Siena. The food was delicious and our servor made our experience even more enjoyable. We are happy to drive those miles to enjoy a great meal.
Very friendly and gracious from host to server to bus staff. Accommodated all requests including re-seating away from a loud party, customized orders, and desserts packaged to go. Food is very good, featuring some traditional Tuscan flavors matched well with modern twists. Parking is adequate in the area but expect a few blocks of walking on a busy evening.
Food was great but a bit overpriced for the size and type of fish ($36 for a small piece of cod?) Menu was creative and offered many different flavor options...however, server was innatentive and routinely forgot to check on our table. We had food served and had to ask for utensils 3 times before flagging down another waiter to grab us silverware.
They seem to be raising their prices, entrees are about $10 each more. Ordered the chicken parm and was pretty disappointed in the portion size for the price, maybe a 4 or 5oz portion. The chicken was dry and the meal was uneventful. The $36 halibut served with my party was over cooked. Not sure if our meals sat for a while before being run to our table. Probably won't be back anytime soon, not worth the money.
Food is fantastic with creative menu. The surroundings are very clean and comfortable with great outdoor seating. We chose the pizza and salad and the Caesar chicken club sandwich with fries. For appetizer, the calamari with black bean dip is fantastic and different!! Our waitress was very pleasant and there to assist at the proper time. Only negative was the sour hostess that seated us. She threw the menus on the table and huffed off because we asked if we could sit at a table away from the door. Otherwise this is a really wonderful restaurant and worth the drive to downtown Castle Rock. We will return the next time we are in the area.
This was our first time dining here and it will definitely be our last. While our waiter was pleasant, we had to continuously ask for basics like clean glassware, then napkins and silverware after our food had arrived. It was loud so we couldn't really talk much over dinner. The food was ok but overall the experience was pretty underwhelming for the price.
