   I booked a reservation for this restaurant way in advance. I had my table confirmed. We parked at one end of the Freemont street and we walked to the restaurant. It was about a 1 mile walk but we hurried to get there to ensure we made it by our reservation time. Upon check in, the hostess quickly wanted to turn me away and showed me a printed sign that said they don't allow kids under 8 years old after 3p.m.. I had my son, 7 years old, and 5 year old daughter with me and I explained that I had a reservation for 4 people and no where on their website or opentable or email reciept does it state that kids under 8years old are not allowed after 3p.m. We had just arrived from a long day traveling and we were excited to finally enjoy a nice dinner with our kids and this type of attitude just ruined our moment. The hostess were not welcoming at all. They then called the manager and again, I was firm to explain that I made a reservation for the 4 of us and was not notified about their policy and the manager allowed us to dine, but told us if our kids were running around they would have to ask us to leave. My kids are good kids. They know how to dine at restaurants therefore I wasn't concerned that there would be an issue, but just the fact that someone treats a family that way, is so unwelcoming. The food was good, but I wouldn't return or refer. If a restaurant can't provide excellent customer service, then they are not good in my opinion.

   We had reservations for 6:00PM and arrived at 6:00PM. There was a line in front of us. We could hear that no one had reservations but they were seated. When our turn came up we were told it would be 10 minutes or so because there were no tables available. 15 minutes later we were seated and waited 20 - 25 minutes before she took our order. 7:00PM arrives and so does our dinner. We have been disappointed the last two visits (September and November)so we will no longer go there for dinner. The pre COVID-19 menu and service were above average. Things have changed dramatically. The menu has changed and the service is terrible!

   We went for Thanksgiving and man....it was worth it!!! We made reservations and got seated within 5 minutes since there was a line of people. The meal was so good from start to finish! Our waitress was so nice and she was on her game!

   Restaurant appeared understaffed and more like cafe dining. Server seemd rushed. Food quality was average, for the Thanksgiving meal special they advertised. Pricing was ok for Vegas dining.

   We are staying at the El Cortez and made a reservation for Thanksgiving. I had the traditional turkey plste and my partner had the ham. Everything was so tasty. Our server was on top notch.

    Ordered the prime rib which was ok. But the mashed potatoes had zero butter ir seasoning in them. They were very lumpy. The gravy tasted like it was made with a powdered package of gravy mix. but the kicker is that I found a brown piece of what looked like an old dried out piece of meat. It was hard so I’m not sure exactly what it was. But it was disgusting. I called the server over, she offered another plate. I declined not knowing what it was and what else gross might be in the kitchen. No one came over to offer any explanation about what that was or an apology. I told them I wasn’t going to pay for the meal, they said ok but still no apology. Never never again will I go there.

    Food was bland, especially the Matzo Ball soup. Service, was "meh." Ordered a beer, and waiter obviously kept forgetting it, when we reminded him, he brought the beer, and it was flat, probably because it had been poured,but he kept forgetting it

    Be glad you made your OT reservation because the weekend evenings are busy! $17 Prime rib special and it is a flavorful soft cut of meat. Salted and herbed happiness.

    Very disappointing. It's a coffee shop. My husband had liver which was a full plate for $14. I had a filet which was miniscule for $32. Tasted ok, not exceptional but nothing was on the plate. And being ignored at the door and that was with a reservation. I wouldn't go back.

    Had friends visiting & they wanted to see Fremont Street So we started with dinner at Siegels 1941. Food was delicious but the vegetables were cool. Would definitely dine here again.

    The experience was wonderful. The food was a tremendous value, our server was friendly and accommodating. My only suggestion would be to hire personnel, such as a busboy, to make sure patrons get served coffee as soon as they are seated.

    Prime rib special was nice....decent meal...not truly medium rare but was good. My friends NY steak looked good and the fish N chips dinner went over well with my wife. It's nice to see the El Cortez has been cleaned up so well. I'll be back.

    Host was great! Seated us right away. Had to wait for server. Had to reorder eggs (overcooked) then new eggs (undercooked). Grits lumpy. Server was nice and removed extra cost.

    This was recommended by Eater, but it was really underwhelming. We had high expectations with it on the water suggestions for breakfast in Las Vegas and even brought someone for their birthday, but will probably not come back. Want bad was good but was not worth driving to or making a trip.

    I had a reservation so I was seated. It took 25 minutes for a waitress to stop by. Horrible service. Granted the place was packed but ridiculously bad service. I have eaten lunch here many times and always great. Dinner here will not be repeated.

    Went for the prime rib. We dined early in the evening and ordered the 8oz prime rib special. It arrived quickly but was clearly food left from the night before. The prime rib was dry and reheated. (Grey on top and bottom and pink in middle.). The baked potato was also old. The summer veg mix was fresh tho, so we were happy with that. The au jus for the prime rib was watered down and relatively tasteless. So sad for the experience as we looked forward to the meal all day.

    It was our Anniversary. We informed them and nothing was said. No congratulations, nothing. Waiter was not friendly at all!!! Never asked how our food was or if we wanted a drink! Sub par service!
