Awesome food.
If you get seated in the pub, hope for a sober and courteous bar patron . Loud mouth giggles and voice were very annoying and made our conversation very difficult. So on your way in take note
My guest enjoyed the burger (ordered med rare & came as ordered), mushroom soup, and farm specialty drink. My burger was well done and I ordered a med rare burger, mushroom soup was warm at best. Service, by Nick, was EXCELLENT.
I absolutely love Sydney Tavern. We always have wonderful, creative, amazing food and great service. I love the old building and the atmosphere of going somewhere special. Will definitely go back and would definitely recommend to everyone.
Sidney is consistent in it's preparation of interesting menu, but for regular diners, menu may need to be changed up more often.
Great venue for Easter dinner with family. Although the menu was limited on the holiday, the food was excellent.
Our favorite. We’ll try other places but always end up back here for the food and best staff ever!
Amazing as always !!! Great and accommodating to gluten allergies and making substitutions on the entire menu. Service is exceptional and make you feel like the only guest in the room. Highly recommend !
Amazing every time I have come. Highly recommended
Pork was absolutely fantastic. Neat retro/ classy vibe with the age of the building. Bread was really good. Pricing is expensive but on par with similar places. If it wasn’t so far away I’d be back soon.
Very nice place with good food, felt that it was a bit overpriced
1st time at Sidney's and will be back! Everything was delicious and well prepared. Favorite little detail was that there were no salt or pepper shakers on the table!! Great food doesn't need it! Will be back.
Sydney has a chef with imagination. Good at harmonizing meats, starches, garnishes, and sauces. Good wine list. Good service. Been good for 10 -15 years, still is.
Service was slow because it was Valentines Day. Most of the Food was great Some items were good but not great.
Had great dinner on Valentine's Day. The ambiance was very romantic and as always the food was excellent. The staff was very friendly and polite. My only critique was it took a long time to get our main course. I would still recommend it for any special occasion.
Excellent food. Nice ambience. Decent service.
It was Valentine's, so we got as close to pearls as possible with the incredible oysters. That followed, of course, the always amazing oysters - as advertised, sweet and fresh.
Very excellent steak with wine sauce. The cod in pastry was excellent also. The noise level in the front dining room was very acceptable (quiet conversation was possible). A great dinner for a pre Valentines celebration.
I wrongly assumed that a tavern style restaurant would have a more relaxed atmosphere. The food was very good. I just wasn't anticipating the formal dining experience.
Great menu choices and absolutely fabulous preparation! Everything we ordered was so well made and delicious! Bravo Sidney’s! We had eaten here years ago and were so pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the food was this time. Better selection and outstanding delivery.
Both Sidney restaurants are on our favorite go-to list. They have never disappointed -- food is creative not pretentious. Great use of seasonal and local foods. Their specialty drinks are also a lot of fun. The tavern in East Berlin is a great cold winter night place, while the terrace at Sidney's Willougby Run is a perfect summer spot.
Fabulous as always! Such amazing flavor profiles and beautiful food creations. Culinary works of art! Fine food, wonderful atmosphere, great service. I'm never disappointed. My all-time favorite restaurant. Someone needs to text me when there is duck on the menu again and I'll be there in a heartbeat! Chef Neal does amazing things with duck!
We always enjoy Sidney. Salads are tasty and the choices are all good. We like to dine in the Tavern side so you can order off either menu. Good selection on the wine list too.
Another amazing birthday spent at my favorite restaurant. Food was amazing. Table beside the fireplace was warm, cozy, and romantic. Wait staff and chef made us feel extra special.
Excellent oasis of food and ambiance located in the quaint town of East Berlin. Definitely should be on your list of culinary destinations. It favorably competes with restaurants in DC and Baltimore.
Good food, pleasant venue, reasonably priced but not the finest of dining experience
A great restaurant for many years. Never disappoints me. A creative menu and wine list which is unusual for this area, and the new wine dinner series holds great promise as well - something badly needed in this part of the world.
We always get the pate’, and however the salmon is prepared, is the way I love it. Could use more IPA’s, but try ginger pear snap. Tied with the food is our favorite staff, Dianne. We always feel welcome!
We have been to Sidney many times and this was probably our best meal! We've never had something we didn't like!
Great food, great service!
As usual it was excellent
However I did not know there was garlic in a vegetable and food was not temperature hot
All around my favorite local restaurant.
Delicious but unusual preparations.
We were very pleased with the service and the food was excellent!! I can truthfully say that this was the finest meal that my wife and I have had at a Resturant in a very long time. We've already told a lot of people about the great experience we had at Sidney's.
While we were the only 4 people in the restaurant during this time period 12:30-2:30 - the wait service was just ok. We had to constantly signal our waiter to get what we needed. The food was very very good and we all loved our food but one person found a dead fly under her lettuce leaf at the end of the meal. They took it off our bill but whoever plated our food was not paying attention. Would definitely go back.
We had a great time! Food was very tasty and the service excelent!
Service was very slow, but wasn’t very busy. Waiter propped open front door and a cold breeze blew on us . Salmon was over cooked and most of the food was over salted. Seemed this place is not what it used to be.
Everyone working there was extremely attentive, kind and professional. The prime rib was a little chewy. Ran out of Miller Lite which I think was a little odd for a restaurant on Saturday evening at 6:30. All in all a nice experience would probably try it again
Love this restaurant . Superior class service , food , and dining experience .
I had been to Sidney with my late husband several times and loved the food.
Wanted to eat out for Thanksgiving with a family friend and Sydney came to mind.
The food and wine were wonderful and the staff was so accommodating.
I’ll be back :)
Excellent Food as always. Have spent many special occasions at Sidney.
Halibut and shrimp dish was delicious. And a really great Cosmo!
