It was our first time at Sidney Willoughby Run and we were both impressed with the quality and the presentation. We had the Beet Salad and the burger...both outstanding! Next we will try dinner and we will definitely recommend Sidney!

Very nice restaurant with a very innovative menu! We sat on the patio which has a beautiful view and enough space for private conversations. Our meal was wonderful and the service was great!

Looks like a golf course clubhouse restaurant, but the foods were much more. Interesting choices and unique presentations. We had the barramundi and crab fritters and a very interesting presentation of blueberry pavlova. Nice view of a open meadow and nice wait staff. One of the gems of the trip.

The service and dining experience was beyond poor. After being seated waiter admitted he wasn't aware that we had been seated. Incorrect drink order was brought. Waited 30 minutes for waiter to take food order. He came back several times to ask what my husband wanted on the hamburger. Waited almost 45 minutes for the two main dishes to be brought. No excuse considering there were only two other couples in dining room and this was the only thing ordered.
When paying, the person bringing the check took our AE card and then returned to say that it was not accepted.

Other than being out of a couple wines, we enjoyed the food, service, ambiance very much.
We would return if back in Gettysburg.

Made 2 pm reservations here on Mother's Day. This place is usually not open on Sundays but does so for special occasions like Easter and Mother's Day. Arrived and found out it was a buffet that cost $43 a person. I don't usually complain about the cost as long as the food is worth it. This was not! I think it had more to do with the fact that the food had been out since late morning in the chafing dishes and you can definitely tell by the taste and temp. It was lukewarm at best and tasted exactly like it was sitting out for a while. All the vegetables and the pasta in the chafing dishes was soft, the meat off the carving stations (ham and beef) was dry and even the coffee tasted stale and was cold. The only thing that was really good was the carrot ginger soup (it's the only reason I rated 2 stars instead of 1). My biggest issue is that I made the reservation through Open Table and there was zero mention of a buffet or fixed price. When making the reservation, I clicked on the link to what looked like their website and there was no access only an error message that said "this page isn't working". So I ended up trusting the Yelp reviews which have been accurate in the past. Boy was I disappointed. The grounds are nice despite a foul odor like a cattle ranch or septic system nearby (maybe the wind was blowing the wrong way that day). The inside was clean however much more of a setting for a wedding or large party. And I would have thought they would make at least a small gesture to the Moms that we were with since it was Mother's Day. Not a hint of that. No glass of champagne or even a $.50 cent carnation. This was a really bad decision and I wish the owner and staff were more clear about what we could expect (especially if their web site was down).

Overall, good(+). Food was great, prices reasonable. Wine service delayed significantly because waiter claimed the bartender could not find the bottle we ordered. A little "roomy" for an intimate occasion (we were in the back room), but you were preparing for Sunday brunch, so that's forgiven. We've dined there before and will again.

This place is supposed to be the best restaurant in Gettysburg and we were very disappointed. The food was bland and dry, we were mostly ignored by our server (although she was very nice, I think just overworked), and it's located in a back room of a country club with terrible decor. I was very unhappy as we'd been planning a weekend getaway for months and this was going to be our big date. If you want really good food in Gettysburg, go elsewhere!

Food first: 10/10. Best Caesar salad anywhere, amazing main courses of smoked salmon/fried oysters for me and DH had perfectly cooked barramundi (spelling?) in wonderful sauce over barley. We also loved our desserts and beverages. Atmosphere: 10/10. We usually dine on patio as the view is gorgeous. Staff: again, 10/10. They are really great - welcoming, friendly, and gave attentive (but not intrusive) service throughout. Fantastic!

Went here while on vacation with the family for my birthday. The food was excellent. Presentation was 5 star worthy. We are big foodies, so we were very impressed by the choices and display of foods. We ordered the oysters on ice and loved them so much we ordered another place! The flavor of the added spices and cucumber was a nice kick and refreshing. I got the salmon with gnocchi and that was fantastic. The gnocchi were like "fluff balls" and were delicious. Husband got the pork chop, and we couldn't believe the "mound" of food that came with the plate. He really enjoyed the it. My father in law ordered the steak and said it was the best steak he's ever had. It was so tender and cooked perfectly. Would definitely recommend this place. It's very quaint and small, so for sure make a reservation.

Another wonderful meal at Sidney! Staff is always friendly and efficient. Food is always delicious and the presentation is beautiful. Gettysburg PA is so lucky to have this gem - if in the area you MUST eat here. Great selection of beers, wines, specialty cocktails. We've been coming here fairly often since it's opened, and we're never disappointed. Try to save room for dessert, as the dessert selections are as amazing as the rest of their food.

Sidney's at Willoughby Run is a real gem. Local people in the know have it to themselves for the most part. It is by far the best restaurant in the Gettysburg area.

Went to Sidney before a show in Gettysburg, was the perfect choice. Already have booked a return visit! Food was out-of-this-world, Hummus, Smoked Salmon, Mushroom Risotto, Black Bean Soup just to name a few of our choices. We all liked the small plate and sharing format - it gave our party of 4 a chance to sample many different items.

We went early on a Wed evening, so that we could make our show at 7:30 pm. Service was attentive and friendly, and since there weren't too many there yet, we received a little extra attention from both the wait staff and kitchen. Nice!

Great restaurant!

There are only two things that held this back from 5 stars across the board. 1) it took our server a while to get us drink menus at the outset. To be fair it was the the only minor concern with service, and it was at the tail end of a valentine's weekend rush. Still, it was room for improvement. 2) The room that is between the lobby and the dining room is simply strange. the fact that it was completely empty except for a bus tub filled with dirty dishes on a table at one end is a little off putting when you are walking towards a table that you know is going to run you over 100 dollars for two (even though the food is well worth the price and then some). This was a great experience over all. We live in Gettysburg, had never gone to this location before and had gone to the East Berlin location for all of our special occasion dates. While I think that still may be the case for special occasions (there's just something about the setting there that makes it feel special), I think we will be making the Gettysburg location to our go to date night spot!

My husband and I were visiting our daughter who attends Gettysburg College. We had heard from other businesses in town that Sidney's was great but every time I tried to make a reservation, they were booked. This weekend they weren't! Staff was very attentive and friendly. We loved the little "surprises" the chef sent over. Lots of unique choices on the menu, even hamburgers! Every item was delicious. We're hoping to go back for our daughter's graduation.
